had it been me which I'd never hope for I'd put the money in some sort of savings account for Jayme for when she grew older, which might have already happened.
@@darren6589 he means the extra mile as in like cutting through backyards and having the presence of mind to go to a neighbors home instead of her home which was closer to his. i feel like a lot of people might just go straight to their own home as fast as they could. shortest route down the street. since he had been out actively looking for her at that time, there's a high chance that she would have been spotted by him and likely would have fled town. i do consider her actions 'the extra mile' because she, again, had presence of mind in that situation.
@@darren6589 it's pretty rare, alot of people see bad things going on and they continue walking by and dont help because they dont want to be involved and think it's not their problem or buisness. You'd be surprised how often this happens. Especially if its a stranger and the person doesn't want to pick them up or have them in their vehicle, not knowing if it's a set up.
It’s so disturbing that someone is capable of committing such a horrible crime. I hope the other inmates are aware of what he did and punish him accordingly. I can’t imagine going through something that horrific. She is one strong lady and I applaud her bravery for escaping.
I hope not because that would traumatize themselves further messing up their brains and then don't forget the trauma that CO's and staff would go through, and then also other nonviolent and even violent criminals around and wrongfully incarcerated people too. 💁💁

To not only have to witness your parents murders but then to also be held captive by their killer for this long is absolutely unthinkable, and then she escaped! What a strong girl 👏
All the work the EWU put in to not making the outcome obvious absolutely smashed to bits by this comment being at the top of the list at time of viewing… glad you had time to watch it without knowing the outcome 👍
Dude, no joke, I have to remind myself that this kind of thing happens to people all the time, all over the world. I don’t mean this specific scenario, just murder, abductions, etc….it’s crazy to me. Like, this stuff actually happens. I can’t even begin to imagine any of it…so for a little girl to have to go through all this? It f**** me up to think about smh And then for the people that do this s*** to others? Idek, man. They’re not even people…how tf could you do something like this to somebody? Anybody? Smh
Theres a case in Mexico where a teenager was kidnapped and held for ransom and her parents where made to pay monthly to get her back and they would never deliver her to the parents as promised but every time they wanted money they would send them pieces of her hair an or videos of her being abused and stuff like that and this went on for three years and then they finally killed her after three years
Jeanne's call with the operator and when she said the deputy wanted her to lock the doors and peter's affirming "yep" almost made me tear up. Then he posted up outside with the shotgun. Mann, they had her and they were going to KEEP her safe. It's so hard to like people these days but that really got me and it's humbling to be reminded that not everyone in the world is evil.
yeah, the tears came once our narrator started describing the events. i cannot imagine being jayme and witnessing what she did....i hope her mental health is doing okay..
I agree. The whole story of the people who help Jayme when she escaped made me cry with absolute love for every single one of those people who helped her. They are truly angels and heroes, every one of them. I wish them all the very best.
It's so creepy that her abductor planned this so well. Authorities had no idea who did this. Everyone in WI was hoping shed be found. She saved herself and got lucky that someone was out and saw her. It's so scary.
If he actually had a place to keep her secure she probably would have never been found. He had her laying under her bed. With his Dad there. Ultimately I think his lack of preparedness is what saved her. Imagine if he was one of those lunatics who had a dungeon at a house in the middle of the woods to lock her up in. This could have been so much worse. And it absolutely blows my mind that the weirdo would do something like this and bring her back to his Dads house and hide her under the bed as if that was going to work. Thank God that criminals typically arent that smart.
I find it to be one of those deeply odd things in life when you see someone and want to just say something nice to them or even give them a big old hug; but it'd either be wildly inappropriate or taken badly because you don't know them well enough. This has to be like one of the most extreme cases of this. You wouldn't want to say anything to her because you wouldn't want her to know that others are recognising her. It's likely really hard for her to go to shops already as it is. I hope she has a good life
It’s been a few years now. This girl is an absolute survivor and has my utmost respect. Jayme if by some wicked reason you see this know that you have your whole life ahead of you. You’re an absolute inspiration to everyone especially women everywhere.
So true!! And I'm also glad that she had her dog back 🙏🥲Thank God the evil oje did not dare harm the poor dog too. At least Jamie can hug her dog when shes missing Mom. And Dad😭 cz they were. Both attached to the pet aswell. I cant imagine how many predators we might be passing by on the road as we travel. In this day and age evil has worsened.
@@elitarantula2833 So let me understand this correctly You say thank " god " that the dog wasn't hurt ?!? So " god" watched over the dog but was OK with the little girl getting kidnapped??!! I'm big time confused!!
@@dewalt459it’s just a phrase people use. Of course no omnipotent god would allow a 12 year old girl to be kidnapped and subjected to torture. Right? Not Jesus of course. The “blindly follow me or be subjected to an eternal punishment”. Not that peaceful loving god of course. 😂
I worked with her parents at the local Turkey store in Barron. She was the sweetest. He had a humorous personality. As it only 10 minutes away from my house at the time. It was certainly frightening. I remembered thinking to myself, "where did they take her?" If Jamie ever reads this, my heart will always go out to you. You are one of the bravest people I've ever heard of. Your parents were not just wonderful people, but absolute pure and loving. May you enjoy your life at the absolute best you possibly can. Always in your heart honey. ♥
my ex wife was a dispatcher she always hated the job i use to always push her to stay good money and benefits but not everyone is cut out for that type of action
@@KingwavyyTv pushing her to stay in a job she hates that has major potential to destroy mental health and cause PTSD just because it paid decent money is kind of awful
I do like how the officers ask if there was anything they could've done to help. It shows that they both want to save lives and also take responsibility for not finding a way to save them.
they also had to live with themselves, and to know from a medical professional, that there was nothing that could have been done, helps them to deal with it, not 'if I had only...' kind of things
Imagine being the woman who Jayme came up to while she was walking her dogs. My heart would have been going a MILLION miles a minute. You’re watching this whole case unfold and the girl who is missing is right in front of you. Thank God she called the cops right away and got her help. Thank God for that family they went to and the man staying by the door with a shotgun. Thank God Jayme saved herself!!!! It’s a miracle she had no injuries. Praying for Jayme still. I know she has to still be traumatized. Probably for life. Lord have mercy. I was crying my eyes out when they told about her being in the bathtub with her mom trying to protect her 😭 I hope they gave Jayme that $50k reward for saving herself. She deserves it.
I was gonna say I’d love if the money had been given to Jeanne but she gave it/split it with Jayme. While she acted quickly and did the right thing to keep Jayme safe that girl found the courage to save herself ❤
Would that be the same "god" who permitted the kidnapping to happen? The same "god" who knew that it was already going to happen, and did nothing to stop it? The same "god" who originated the idea of it when it "created" the whole world? Really?
When he got caught, he was literally out looking to reclaim her. She is so lucky that neighbor found her and that the other neighbors also helped. Thank God he didn't find her first. ❤
Naw he was driving back from wherever he went to and she finally felt the confidence to get out even tho there were no lock or chains she was just traumatized seeing her mom and dad like that and I don’t blame her one bit
First it seemed that he was just on his way home and got caught cause Jayme escaped, but later they say he got caught cause he was out looking for her?….
If he ended up murdering her, this case would have absolutely gone cold. There just wasn’t any evidence to link him to the crime. It’s CRAZY he decided to murder her parents just to kidnap her, like really?
Anybody who is willing to commit such horrible acts is doing it for what they consider a reason. Why would anybody break into a house, kill everybody, and NOT take any valuables? Jayme was the valuable he wanted. If she put up a strong fight after he got her to his dad's house, and he killed her there, then there would be evidence linking him. I'm just so glad she's still alive and that horrible monster is behind bars.
@@theclearsounds3911 guess the point was that he could've taken her when she was alone outside the house. people are vulnerable especially when they're alone waiting for something like a bus stop. if there's no other people around the attacker could just calmly get out of the car, open the trunk and while the victim might find it strange they wouldn't necessarily expect anything to be wrong until they have a gun in their face and they were told to get in the trunk and at that point they're out of options.
@@snooks5607 I agree that I missed the point on that one. But he spent so much time and effort into not getting caught, I don't think he wanted to risk taking her in broad daylight in front of her own house, with the bus coming at any time, and other traffic zooming by. So many potential witnesses. When you have no morals, you don't mind killing people to get away with doing what you want to.
That interview with Kyle was infuriating, regardless of the delusional thinking. Him saying he was trying to help and all his tangential nonsense, yet was caught in their house taking Jamie’s underwear, and still has the nerve to say “all child molesters need to die”. You don’t take an underage missing girls underwear to “help” in anyway, except to help your own fetishes.
It wasn’t delusional thinking. He was literally just saying anything he could to paint himself as a hero and not the degenerate he actually is. He knew what he was doing.
I’ve heard a ton of about this case, but it never ceases to horrify and absolutely amaze me. The father who misinterpreted information from the other side of the door leading to his death, the mother trying to protect her daughter as she herself was being M’ed, to the daughter that witnessed BOTH of her parents die right in front of her only to be kidnapped with god knows what in store for her. She is absolutely AMAZING. She wasn’t found, she RESCUED HERSELF. There’s been a few cases I’ve heard like this where the intended victim manipulates their kidnapper, takes in all the information they can, and gauge the best moment to make their move to escape or flag an alert to someone. The STRENGTH it takes to not only FIGHT, but to carefully weigh out your options and plan in such a high state of fear is truly remarkable. No one knows how they will act in a state of life-threatening fear-you got fight, flight, freeze, and fawn.. and sometimes the best way to get out of it is to fawn when needed to lull the perp into a false sense of security, and fight when you have your moment. As an autistic/adhd person, lm generally a freezer (shutdown) or a fawner and my mind cannot process the information in a helpful way or in a speedy way, so I’m always in awe of folks that meet these kinds of odds and get THEMSELVES out of it.
What do you mean by M'ed? Do you mean murdered or is it something else? Surely youtube wouldn't punish you for saying murdered or does it mean something else? It's a genuine question, promise I'm not trying to be funny - there's nothing funny at all in this article.....x
I find that people online that comment, often have snap judgements. It seems many commenters dont realize that ALL media platforms ARE rarely, if ever, providing all facts in an unbiased manner and are specifically designed to rile people up to feel self righteous. It's like mob mentality. Medias just want views, thumbs up and comments and design their programs around that.
I can just barely imagine the strength of the instinct that she must of had to stay smart and stay alive despite the shock, fear and horror of her parent’s murder on top of her own violent abduction. She did so well in dealing with such a horrific and potentially fatal situation and such a deranged individual.
So many sick people. The man who shot this innocent family, the monster who stole this child, Kyle who raided intimate items from their home, the hidden monsters on media accusing a 13 year old of a heinous crime. God bless you brave Jayme I sincerely hope you are able to go on to have a good life 🙏
Can you imagine the horror Jamie felt after seeing her mother’s head blown up and then seeing her deceased father? And then the horror of being held captive? She will be forever with open wounds to her soul! 🥺
I really appreciate that you always include the fates of pets, and I'm so happy Jayme is reunited with her pup. The media heartlessly omit whatever happens to our furry buds, but they are our loving family whose experiences and lives matter too.
As a father this had me all over my emotions. I have 2 daughters and 3 sons. My biggest fear like many other parents is that something happens to any of my children let alone my girls. Im so happy she was found alive. May her parents rest in peace 🕊️.
Yeah no kidding when Im a father Im going to watch my kids like a hawk and Im not going to shelter them from reality Im going to teach them that there are evil people out there and what they are capable of. You just gotta find the right balance between informing them without making them terrified to live their lives. My kids will also be learning how and when to use weapons at a young age.

Okay, the 911 Call at 24:56 genuinely made me start crying. Imagine hugging your mother really hard feeling scared for your life knowing that your father is possibly deceased. I cannot imagine the horrors this child saw.
It’s definitely surreal hearing the officers discover the bodies and being able to listen to their initial reaction. 😳 I hope they receive some type of help for having to see such horrific deaths like this.
Huge props to the lady who initially saw her and got her to a safe location and the guy standing guard until police arrived. (Love that the first cop told him to stay put while he covered the back) We spend so much time talking about the bad ones that it’s important to remember there are still good people out there willing to help when called upon.
I'm absolutely speechless... being the father of an 11 year old daughter, I can't imagine how helpless Jaymes parents must have felt in their final moments... Hopefully, her parents are watching over her. And are proud of her! And even though they died, the strength they gifted to Jayme, is ultimately what saved her life. True, but the dead knows nothing. Our aspirations and hope is in that we will be caught up with the Saints. That we all will see our loved ones and reign with God forever.
The woman whom Jayme found was a social worker, so that was fortunate. Here’s a quote about it: “I went to her and she just sort of grabbed onto me and she told me who she was. I’ve been a social worker my whole life. I was in child protection, so I believe my CPS personality just turned on.”

I remember "watching" this case go down in real time. . .and the speculations while Jayme was STILL MISSING made my stomach turn. The Facebook posts in this video are just a blip of the stuff I saw. So many people saying she was suspect number one while she was missing--and then even after the girl had been found and was safe there were STILL people analyzing her body language, her facial expressions, her speech patterns. . .it was disgusting. Shock and grief effects everyone differently and it's awful to think it's okay to read someone's body language, which can just not match up at all (for example, some Autistic folks like myself just go completely blank when under pressure and it makes us look cold and unfeeling when really we're trying to prevent a meltdown of emotion), and assume the girl was in on it. And double down further that you think she's lying when the police have cleared her because you "know better" than trained police officers. Give me a break.
The internet brings out all the ppl who think they're experts on solving crimes. Yeah the body language reading is ridiculous. They're all pseudo-intellects. Full of ego and little sense.
Same with Idaho quad murder survivors, and the husband of the Cancer doc who shot herself and baby. Social media gives these mouth breathers a platform to keep the conspiracies whirling around and it just turns into a storm
I don't live far from Barron and this case gripped all of us for the entirety. Her picture was everywhere and burned in our brains. I can recognize it from the tiniest of thumbnails. I still think about that sweet child at least monthly and hope so much for peace in her heart

Although it may be quite and quaint up there, just south about 45 miles is Eau Claire. That, and places like La Crosse aren't much different than septic tanks like Detroit, near me. Sometimes they back up and make a mess. I remember this very well myself, and I'm so thankful she's alive and can hopefully be able to deal with the mountain of trauma she has endured. I strongly feel that you don't have to serve in the military to suffer from combat induced PTSD. That young lady was literally at war with the devil himself. I personally couldn't be more inspired by her strength and bravery!
Just a tip from a carpenter: make sure you have 3 inch screws in your door jam into the stud to prevent the door from being kicked in. This also applies to the catch on the door if you have a solid wood door. Not all locks are equal so make sure you pick quality over price!
That is the definition of a victim. We have the technology and tools to protect ourselves better but yet we are at still risk of becoming victims. I isn't fair. ❤

She is ex social worker and while her background helped her know what to do and stay calm in the situation, she knows she was just in the right place at the right time. she commends Jayme for her bravery to rescue herself from such a terrifying situation.
I hope the young girl can move on after this. I was fostered out at her age after my last remaining parent died and it was a horrible, cold and confusing time. I'm in my sixties now and it still haunts me. It's good she's with loving grandparents.
The police also tried to take all the credit of finding her. When she rescued herself. The community had to push on them to give Jayme the reward money when they didn't want to at first.
Jeanne is my great aunt. She was walking her dog Henry when jayme approached her. Jeanne was a social worker for a long time, so she was the perfect person for Jayme to approach
To think people thought on Social media this little girl could kill her parents, the ones that loved and cared for her and she loved them very much is disgusting, then claimed she was guilty of doing such a gruesome crime without any evidence pointing to that being the case. Police had already dismissed that theory. 88 days frightened after witnessing her parents being murdered by this nut case and finally working up the courage to escape. I know so many girls that complain that they are constantly accosted by weird men from the age of 12. Jamie is just another example of why they feel the way they do. The way Some men men act around women is atrocious. Kyle heard about the crime and got excited. That boy went over there to sniff some panties and got caught in the act. He wasn't there to solve the crime and find the girl. Mental illness can be weird as heck without proper treatment.

It’s horrible always feeling like this.
@@acovenofmany333 why? Its not safe for men to walk alone at night either, if not more dangerous. You should never feel comfortable walking alone at night, be aware of your surroundings or try to avoid that situation at all costs, there's too many crazy people out there.
It’s a miracle Jayme is even alive. I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of terror during the home invasion. I truly hope she got all the help she needed afterwards and the perpetrator suffers on the highest possible level.
This case was huge pretty much across the whole Midwest when it was still a mystery where she was. It was the most relieving thing when she was said to be alive and safe. It’s so horrible and twisted what that man did to her and her parents. I can’t imagine the pain she lives with everyday. I hope she continues to be strong and has a long, wonderful life ahead of her ❤️
There had to have been red flags from this guy growing up. Parents, family, friends or school most likely look back and say, "oh ya, weird stuff going on with this guy". This type of behavior does just not manifest out of no where.
Hind sight is always 20/20. Sadly, humans are hopeful creatures. Our hope and love for others will blind us to what is directly in front of us and plain to see.
I agree with the comments regarding the bravery and caring of the neighbors who helped Jaimie stay safe until law enforcement arrived. I wasn’t completely surprised though, coming from a similar small town In Michigan. That is exactly what complete strangers do for each other regardless of the risk of their own lives in these areas. I applaud them and pray for jaymies well being.
Jayme is a true hero, she survived an unimaginable situation, my heart goes out to her for the horrible loss of her parents. I'm glad to hear this creep will never step back into society
I grew up less than 5 miles from the scene where she lived. This was a shock to our small community. Last I heard Jamie is doing well but I don't know her personally. But thank you for sharing the story
I was disgusted how in the beginning, people were blaming Jayme, without even knowing her, and some were even saying that she looked demon possessed, because of the position in which the camera had taken her photo, and how she was looking up at the camera intentionally. She was just an innocent 13-year-old girl smiling in a goofy way. My heart goes out to you Jayme! I pray that you are healing! 💕
When faced with a mystery, and only a limited set of clues, people will search for any scenario that might fit. Unfortunately, this was a possible scenario, based on a very limited set of clues. That doesn't make it right for people to actually accuse Jayme or a possible boyfriend of killing her parents, it just made that a possibility, until it was proven otherwise.
As soon as someone says “he or she is ‘demon possessed’” you know already that the person is feeble minded and the rest of what they say should be discounted.
@@Traitorman..Proverbs26.11 Many good church-going people believe in demons that possess people to do bad things. This belief is part of many religions. I'm an agnostic, and I don't believe in demons, but I respect the religious beliefs of others.
@@theclearsounds3911 So basically you “respect” people who believe anything as long as they chalk it up to religion. I respect people’s right to believe in a religion, but not everything their religion states. Or are you only referring to *some* religions?
@@Traitorman..Proverbs26.11 Based on ONLY your second sentence, I agree with you 100%. But this doesn't sound like the person who thinks somebody who has a particular belief is feeble minded, and everything they say is now suspect. As for your question, it's way off the topic of Jayme, but I'll take the bait. Any religion that promotes killing other people simply because they have a different religion, no, I don't respect people who believe in that religion. But something as harmless as believing that a crime is committed because a demon told the perpetrator to do it, rather than the perpetrator just being a bad person doesn't bother me.

Jayme displayed so much strength and courage throughout such a hellacious situation on top of witnessing her parents being murdered prior to her kidnapping. The fact that she was able to escape and find a good samaritan to assist her is an incredible act of bravery. I hope that she is doing well and is continuing to heal from the immense loss and trauma that she had to endure. 💞
The 3 that protected her without a moments hesitation, you are the heroes this world needs! Jayme was able to be safe for the first time in months, thanks to your nurturing natures. I hope... really, really hope that Jayme is able to live a life that is fit for a warrior. She is a monumental warrior. Her parents would be so proud how she got out. I'm sorry as heck for her loss, I can't even imagine.
I remember this case, staff and teachers at my school were on edge hearing of this case. We had all hoped for a good out come, that Jayme would be found and be returned to her family. I remember coming home every single day after school and just looking up any update there was. Then came the update everyone hoped for. The day that Jayme was found alive! I just remember crying out of joy knowing that she's alive and was able to go back to the rest of her family and her dog.
I am glad she got to be reuined with her dog. Pets are family and she likely feels like she at least gets to be with one family member from her home as she remembers it.
I have wondered how Jaime is doing now. She is one smart strong and brave girl. The fact she left that despicable creeps house as soon as she could. I think if she had tried to escape before she had lulled him into a sense of false security that she was happy to be there and wouldn’t leave. That was enough to not lock her up and away. And shortly after he left she grabbed what she could to be warm enough outside in the Midwest winter. I’m so proud she found someone to help her on her journey outside of that house. I don’t remember why the dog walker didn’t bring her to her house. I’m just happy that the first house that they came to got her inside and helped her. And even after the creep was arrested. I’m glad he realized he didn’t have a chance of getting away with it and he just pled guilty. So Jaime wouldn’t have to go through explaining everything that she knew. She gave her aunt a massive hug when she saw her aunt. 8 All her family members have said they can totally see the trauma and damage. He did sexual assault/r@pe her. But her aunt who adopted her and her aunts and uncles from both sides decided to not take those charges to trial so as to not traumatize her and make those details public. They made sure to put as little information as to what happened to her in the public records. He’s a registered sex offender 13 Her cousin who is a woman is a police officer and they saw her picture with in the house recognized her as a colleague called her then that was how they found out she lived there. 14 Her police cousin is the daughter of the older sister of Jayme mom who adopted her. 15 Jayme has said that she would reveal what happened to her and do an interview but it would be in several years so she can be healed enough emotionally to do so 16 Jayme is 18 years old this year and at college 17 Her family is extremely protective of her and came together won’t do interviews until Jayme is emotionally ready and only after she does hers 18 Barron has only had 3 murders in Almost 40 years. 19 They tore down jayme home she wanted it torn down so she wouldn’t be traumatized by seeing it 20 Her aunt who adopted her had a daycare service she also lives in Barron she looked after Jayme everyday of the week sometimes Saturdays while her parents worked for 12 years straight she was basically a second mom to Jayme.,

As crazy as this story was, what in the hell was Kyle upto... not only was he on some sicko shit, he wasted cops time investing him as a suspect. Someone needs to put that guy on a registry.
He stole her underwear. Then made up some BS excuse about a homeless shelter, then that he'd getting gender-changing surgery. He didn't want to admit he was a sick pervert. At least he didn't kidnap her, but the cops need to keep an eye on this guy.
I remember this case like it happened yesterday. I think everyone in Wisconsin was cheering when it was announced on the news that she had escaped her kidnapper and saved herself. We were all shocked to find out she was still alive. It was such a joyous day, especially for her remaining relatives.
I'm from nearby and she was found during a varsity basketball game. They stopped everything and announced it over the loudspeakers. Then in the following weeks we would force teachers to play press conferences during class. Our math teacher had gone to school with her mom.
" he killed my parents I'm scared I wanna go home" 😢 holy shit that got me .... poor poor girl. What a monster to do something like that to innocent people... and a child none the less!!!
I remember in 8th grade, when Jayme Closs first went missing, I remember seeing her picture all over the internet and I remember when she was found, I will never forget how I felt during that time, it was the first time in my life that I realized that stuff like this could happen to someone that was my age.
I will never know how officers are able to stomach the site of a dead body. I know i wouldn’t be able to handle the site of someone who was dead if i was an officer.
Ain't no different than a living person. We're all the same. Ya get used to it. Those who don't, get used to the bottle and the comfort of the coldness of their gun.
I don’t know about this situation and country, but with some traumatic situation they’re going to a room after they’re done. There they can talk with each other and/or with a professionals (if needed). This is for medics, firefighters and police. I’ve seen this on tv, where a paramedic said this and showed the room. I don’t if it’s special room or a break room or whatever. Dispatchers can also take a break after a heavy situation (I can imagine after hearing the lady scream, you’ll need a break).
The near immediate sense of urgency in the initial officers' voices and words tells you the severity of the situation before the story even began to unfold. You get that sense, even without hearing the prior 911 call. Some audio clips tell the story with a somewhat steady sense of progression, but hearing the one officer say "Get a long gun. QUICK" takes it from 1 to 100.
Peter Kasinskas, his wife and Jean are heroes! THESE folks are the kind of people in America that we need more of. The photo of Jayme and her dad at the end really hit me, reminded me of me and my daughter. This is a lesson for parents in this world -- locking doors might not always be enough.
No one said how he got into their house. Did he break in or was the door unlocked? The 911 operator told the neighbors who found her to lock the door. Maybe it was the custom there to not lock doors, and the killer just walked in. I was amazed that anyone had to be told to lock doors in 2018.
the video states that the door was kicked in. There is a picture of the door all bashed in and their were several heavy locks on the door, which i assume they used.
I was finishing my forensics degree in Wisconsin when all of this was going down. The speculators and conspiracy theorists infuriated me and made me NAUSEATED. I had to stay off of Facebook. I had a teacher who grew up in the area and him trying to hold back his anger towards those people was incredible. It's a miracle she's home and her bravery is unmatched. Thanks for not giving those theorests any real time of day.

This brought tears to my eyes. I can’t even imagine what Jayme witnessed. I hope she has the most comfort in the world from her loved ones. I’m so tired of sick depraved men taking from women and I’m so sorry Jayme had to endure this heartbreaking trauma at the hands of such a sick man. She’s such a strong and brave girl to have escaped.
So youre not sick of depraved women doing the same thing to men? So annoying how you weirdos cant resist always having to turn things that everyone should be agreeing on into a race/gender argument.
21:45 even if he had no intentions of shooting anyone, the fact that man loaded a shotgun and stood guard at the door to make this girl feel safer is really really cool. he sounds like a good person.
Not only that, but the deputies then told him to stay in position while they continued to formulate a plan. Very atypical, normally they would remove the loaded firearm from the situation.
Just from the opening seconds of this video reenforces my belief I could never be a 911 operator. First call like that I would have to quit. “Red flags of child predators: showing excessive interest in a child” So about that Kyle dude…..

I find it to be one of those deeply odd things in life when you see someone and want to just say something nice to them or even give them a big old hug; but it'd either be wildly inappropriate or taken badly because you don't know them well enough. people are vulnerable especially when they're alone waiting for something like a bus stop. if there's no other people around the attacker could just calmly get out of the car, open the trunk and while the victim might find it strange they wouldn't necessarily expect anything to be wrong until they have a gun in their face and they were told to get in the trunk and at that point they're out of options.

My heart goes out to the Closs family and friends. And most importantly to Jayme herself.
God bless. 🙌😇
Going from watching her parents' murder to being on pins-and-needles for 88 days was like being a POW.
Yes. Absolutely terrible 😢
I believe Jayme found the lady

How horrible to go through something so terrible and not have your parents to talk to and to comfort you. My heart goes out to this girl

I don't live far from Barron and this case gripped all of us for the entirety. Her picture was everywhere and burned in our brains. I can recognize it from the tiniest of thumbnails. NOTHING violent happens around here and this family seemed like a random target right from the beginning because of their genuine, sweet nature. I still think about that sweet child at least monthly and hope so much for peace in her heart
i live about an hour south of barron. jayme is about the same age as me, and i still vividly remember receiving her amber alert in the middle of class in high school, the fear and sadness that washed over the room as our phones starting going off. some of my classmates had competed with her in sports (maybe cross country?). i still think about her and her family to this day and we were all so relieved to hear she was found and safe. rip the closs family
I'm in Prescott, WI, and I remember this case so well. RIP Denise and James. Hugs and love to Jayme ❤
Idk why I almost teared up when the narrator said “-and she reunited with her dog”
Just a tip from a carpenter: make sure you have 3 inch screws in your door jam into the stud to prevent the door from being kicked in. This also applies to the catch on the door if you have a solid wood door. Not all locks are equal so make sure you pick quality over price!

Jeanne Nutter is my grandmother:s sister in law. She is ex social worker and while her background helped her know what to do and stay calm in the situation, she knows she was just in the right place at the right time. she commends Jayme for her bravery to rescue herself from such a terrifying situation.
❤ she’s an absolute angel regardless of Jayme rescuing herself, Jeanne ensured her safety after that and will forever be a hero ❤

This is one of the most horrific things I’ve ever heard I’m so glad she’s ok
Police are brave AF walking into a scene like that not knowing if the killer is still there. Not to mention what they have to see while doing it.
You should never pass judgement on something without truly knowing the facts 1st hand. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Poor girl.
So glad for her to hear, that she is thriving and staying with her grandparents but still not something anyone as a child would want to experience or be exposed to...ever.
I've just seen this.
To think that people on social media believe its impossible for a kid to kill their parents...

Another case of delusioned and entitled man.

@@acovenofmany333 why? Its not safe for men to walk alone at night either, if not more dangerous. You should never feel comfortable walking alone at night, be aware of your surroundings or try to avoid that situation at all costs, there's too many crazy people out there.

@@theclearsounds3911
So basically you “respect” people who believe anything as long as they chalk it up to religion.

At least he was considerate of not making her testify. I hope he is scared to death daily in his prison cell. And I hope he is forced to think about the fact he will never see her again.

Jayme if you’re reading this I pray you’re well. You’re so awe inspiring. You’re the epitome of bravery. May God bless you, and keep you safe❣️
That bit at the end about her being reunited with her dog. It's a small thing in a way...but I know that is a huge comfort for her.
