These videos are SO well made!
    - No distracting music
    - No dramatization
    - Very well edited
    - minimal voiceover/captions that precisely highlight important clues
    - explains crucial info i.e. interrogation techniques or background info
    Thank you

Because as a woman who has lived with the daily stress most women go thru, we CAN understand. We DO think about it BRIEFLY, but we would NEVER act or plan it. That’s the difference. Understanding is so different than excusing… I can empathize with Jessica feeling psychotic while still condemning her for being so weak and giving into those dark and painful impulses. You can be friends with your shadow without giving in and a lot of these murderers aren’t friends with their shadows. Their darkness takes over because they never give that shadow time to breathe, and then that becomes them… scary to think we’re all capable of this but most of us let it out in small ways so we would never let this become us. I think that’s why most of us like to see them as “evil” when the reality is we are all capable.
RIP those poor poor babies Lacey, Phillip and Christopher. Hope Jessica gets the death penalty and stops wasting our taxes.

What you and some like you seem to be overlooking is, you are taking her at her word, despite the fact that she just flat out slaughtered her entire brood, but somehow the _LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO!!_ defense comes tumbling out of your head so easily?
I have 4 children, and stayed home with them until the youngest went to school. I occasionally went to a movie or shopping, but I was too exhausted to go ‘out’ and my husband was the father of _ALL OF MY CHILDREN_ and would gladly watch the kids while I did what I needed to, but I rarely asked because I was happy being home with my family. It might surprise you but, I never once ever contemplated doing something so completely unimaginable and could never do so in order to get one over on my husband.
She had a perfectly fine baby daddy for the other two, but shocker, he was a complete PoS and wasn’t even keeping up on child support. So Christopher goes to work all day every day to support his family, when she said she wanted to be a trad wife, he caved, and supported children that weren’t even his because she’s such a poor judge of character, and just expected him to do it all because reasons? I honestly believe she’s dissociated the actual killing part because it’s incredibly emotional, especially if she has BPD.
I have BPD and dissociate on a daily basis. A lot of times I will remember in detail what happens leading up to a extremely emotional moment but the actual moment itself is wiped.
BPD comes with extreme emotions and is very different from ASPD where you lack empathy. Killing your kids is highly emotional for someone with BPD, whether she did it out of anger, sadness, jealously etc.
I even dissociate away happy moments. Everytime I experience an emotion too much it shuts off. It sucks. But like I said, I can remember everything up to it.
What doesn’t make sense is the fact that she claims to not recall writing a letter which was way ahead of the actual killings, but then she remembers things between the letter and killings.
If she were dissociating the entire time she would not remember any of it, but she does, which makes me believe she remembered the letter and knew she was going to do it, but her brain blocked out the graphic parts. Idk if that makes any sense 😅

I'm sorry, are you classifying her as a "good mother"? What you need to keep in mind is that she's a liar and that her lies are self-serving. She says he told her she was worthless every day but she also said that he told her he loved her every day and that she was his entire world. So that doesn't really align, does it? Why? Because she's a liar. I have Borderline Personality Disorder so I understand it. She perceives even the most minor comment as severe criticism and a fundamental rejection of her. He might come home and simply observe that the dishes haven't been done. But what she hears is "You're a fat, lazy, worthless, good-for-nothing slob and I should leave you". Everything is criticism to her. Everything is a threat that she's going to be abandoned. This is how it works. For me, I would perceive signs of pending abandonment, which may or may not have actually been reality, and the way I would deal with it would be to pre-emptively abandon them. They can't abandon me if I abandon them first, right? Not exactly healthy behaviour. But certainly healthier than what she chose. She feared being abandoned so she pre-emptively abandoned her boyfriend by slaughtering her children. And as an added bonus she got to destroy the lives of the two men who decided that they couldn't be in a relationship with a living nightmare anymore. That's exactly what happened here. It had nothing to do with post-pardon depression. It had everything to do with her being a damaged, abysmal failure of a human being who had no level of self-awareness. Speaking of self-awareness, the fact that your takeaway from this situation is that women aren't appreciated enough is extremely concerning. She slaughtered her three children and you seem to be making excuses for her. But we do live in a society that makes endless excuses for women's bad behaviour and never holds them to the same standards as men. Grow up. Is looking after three kids a fulltime job? Yes. Is it often under-appreciated? Yes. But that's not the takeaway from this situation. The three dead children killed by their selfish mother are the takeaway from this situation.

And on top of that, if we take away the tone policing, she only cries when she notices someone watching, she has no clear signs of empathy whatsoever or remorse, not verbally or through body language. she legitimately doesn’t care, she explicitly states she knew why she did it and back tracks when coming to remembering? it doesn’t add up at all. she is just really good at manipulating people.

I wouldn’t say it’s ever “blamed” for the actions of a criminal, but it does provide insight into the persons mental state & can be a contributing factor to a crime when not properly treated. It’s rarely ever solely because of the mental illness that someone commits a crime of *this* level. There’s almost always extenuating circumstances and a lack of accountability by the individual and their own mental state. “Your mental illness is not your fault, but it is your responsibility.”

Her ex-husband didn't spend enough time with his children, her boyfriend cared more about his child, the baby boy. She felt like everybody could come and go and do whatever they wanted while she was the one who did 90% of the responsibility. It was the ultimate act of revenge. Women in prison serving time, for whatever their crime, say the hardest part is missing their children. They don't take kindly to baby killers. Letting your mind control you like that is just pure weakness. If someone can be abused in all manners from birth until adulthood and manage to become a well intended functioning member of society, women should be able to handle some feelings after the birth of their child. You can call me insensitive if you want but I know what these people have went through and I can assure you postpartum ain’t that serious in comparison. I can say with a fair certainty that Jessica purposefully murdered those kids and intended to end her life and make Christopher pay and feel remorse by witnessing her dying, or at least attempting to die while he was there. She wanted to hurt him completely and even told him he destroyed their family. The letter tells it all and doesn't indicate that she had an "episode.' She knew what she was doing and it was completely premeditated. Granted, she may have had Borderline Personality Disorder, but the decision to kill her kids was something I guarantee she remembers, no matter how much she wants to fool everyone into thinking she's blocking it out. Her letter is snarky by saying "I hope you'll be happy in your new relationship with Brandy' and wanted to make sure he knew it was his relationship with Brandy that sealed their coffins. There's no doubt in my mind she wanted Chris to pay. The only thing that backfired for her was that she was hoping she'd have the courage to take her own life as well, but ultimately, she failed. The police used nonlethal weaponry to subdue her. She only cut herself just enough to drip blood all over the house and to elicit some sort of horror from Chris when he saw it was all over the floor (most likely her own blood judging by the traveling drips) Lacey had no stab wounds, and the means of killing the kids was primarily ligature and strangulation. Jessica probably walked all over the house deliberately dripping everywhere just to make the house look horrifying. Her mother had already offered to take the kids for the night, so she can't even use the excuse that the kids would still be alive if he'd wanted to watch all 3. At that point, she already had it in her head that she was going to kill her kids and take them with her, then end her own life, but not before her husband came home, looked her in the eyes and realized he actually had destroyed the entire family (as she described in her letter). This was a murder suicide gone wrong. But since she wasn't able to kill herself, she realized she was now stuck with the prospect of having to live without her kids anyway, and she was STILL going to lose Chris. At that point, she just melted into a pity party of denial and decided she'd play the "I can't remember any of it' card.

Thats that first reason she offers after butcherin them. she only processes the entire situation for herself, not for them. She says she cant believe she killed ALL the kids. As if it would be only bad suddenly, or some increase in being problematic, that she actually killed ALL of them. thats, she says, makes it bad_ i am the person who killed all my kids. she is unable to think about standard basic moral emotions like an even semi-normal person. she is just imitating what society has taught her about that whole "the kids are MY LIFE" business. like that Chris Watts guy a bit, everyone thought he lived for his family too. He really didnt not did this lady. Maybe, she's also sick in the sense of borderline or something like that, maybe thats even quite possible, but that's not explaining all of this. This is so sad and horrifying... I have gone through three live births, and had PPD all 3 times, but honestly, there is an EXTREME FEAR of having your kids taken that stops many of us from speaking up about how severe our depression and psychosis has gotten. Much sooner than give real counseling, you'll have CPS on your doorstep, which is a terrifying thing, regardless. But we also need to be able to recognize when our depression and mental illness has gotten so bad that we might NEED those interventions to help us regain reality...My third child was diagnosed with Spina Bifida at 24 weeks, and we had fetal surgery at 25 to save as much of hos lower limb function and it's the greatest achievement of my life, to lay my body down for his in that way... But it meant an 8 inch, hip to hip incision, where he was tucked back inside to continue growing as I essentially recovered from a Csection while still carrying him, and he was delivered at 37 weeks, by reopening 4 inches of that incision... I had my tubes tied on the table so I would hopefully never have to go through another csection, but the recovery from those back to back surgeries was so much harder than I expected, plus I was learning to care for a newborn with a physical disability, navigating the world of being a medical parent, with a toddler, and a school aged child in tow... When my son was 13 months old, his care team discovered he had severe anemia, which turned out after countless tests, was congenital, diamond blackfan anemia, but in the first few months after we nearly lost him (because his initial presentation of anemia was so severe, and because he still requires monthly transfusions and is facing an upcoming bone marrow transplant), I was struggling seriously with my mental health, mainly out of sheer fear, and still being on the tail end of the physical recovery from the hard pregnancy and birth... and i became abusive towards my husband, and that brought me into the eye of CPS, and honestly, rightly so... We had to rearrange our lives while we were investigated, and my MIL moved in with us. When the investigation concluded, we had monthly meetings with a social worker in our home, and that felt humiliating, but I am grateful for the reality checks that came along with the scrutiny. I'm now in anger management, and I've been able to start delegating my tasks like switching from homeschool (kindergartners in a pandemic! EEK!) to public school, and accepting the help available to me, like the anger management group, and I've connected online with countless other medical moms and moms in unique parenting situations, and it has helped me, and my family a lot.
Please don't be ashamed to admit you are depressed, and to get actual help with it. We don't need nights out drinking with friends, we need genuine support, and to see that we aren't the only ones going through hardships, and that those hardships are only temporary.
My heart breaks for everyone involved in this, even the mother, because this does not happen in an instant. That situation can happen to even the "best" of us, when we can't get the support we need, and in her case, that was probably psychotherapy and antipsychotics...
I pray that these fathers who are missing their babies have been able to recover their lives after having such a huge portion taken from them.
GET HELP IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE STRUGGLING, WELL BEFORE YOU REACH THE BREAKING POINT.

This was definitely not ppp. Ppp killings don't happen for revenge, women who kill their kids bc of ppp generally don't realize they're doing it and it's always based on delusions. Like they believe something like their baby is actually a demon imposter and killing "it" is the only way to save their baby. They often snap out of it later, usually in a hospital bc they hurt themselves too, and start asking where their child/ren are not realizing she killed them. It's truly a horrific thing. These women genuinely love their babies and would normally never even think about hurting them and often have delusions that lead them to believe that they're actually helping their child/ren, not killing or hurting them. A revenge killing isn't done bc of delusions, unless the reason for needing revenge is a delusion itself. Ppp is too often used as an excuse where it's not actually the case.

My mother was diagnosed manic depressive, amongst other things - I believe this is what is called bipolar these days, this was in the late80s/early90s. She was terrifying. She could go from sweet-as-pie to wanting to slit your throat because you breathed the wrong way in her presence. Sometimes it was physical, sometimes sexual, sometimes just verbal humiliation, devaluation. There was no way to calm her, you just had to try to survive until it blew over and she'd act like nothing had ever happened and why was I causing problems for everyone by bringing it up. Lots of times I think she came close to killings us both. I understand deeply the terror these kids went through and it's highly likely this was not the first time they felt endangered by her.
Edited to ad: to the people trying to re-explain my experiences or tell me I'm giving her the wrong diagnosis or tell me 'not all bipolar people," these are MY experiences and this is what my mother's DOCTORS DIAGNOSED HER with and of course 'not all bipolar people,' - I never said it was all of you, in the same way talking about one man who was abusive isn't indicative of all men.

Classically, a borderline would self harm, or try to commit suicide as a way to cope with emotions. And then the text messages to her about she had to take her kids for the night and Chris was going to stay with the baby; he wasn't going to babysit HER kids. That's insanely FKD UP!! its NEVER NEVER EVER EVER a reason to kill anyone but the BF, she could claim insanity due to the verbal and mental abuse.

She sounds like a petulant child who wasn't used to being rejected. She wanted to punish him and get back at him. So she took it out on the children because she really wanted to hurt him. She did not want to stay home and take care of the children and was very upset that her boyfriend was going out with his friends instead and leaving her alone with the kids. This was completely premeditated.and she killed them to take revenge. In her interrogation with the detective she gets defensive everytime his questioning gets too intense and hits close to home.

I am a total stranger looking at the pictures of these three little innocent angels and the tears are pouring down my face while the murderer played the 'I don't remember' card and tried, not very well, to take a cowardly way out with a botched suicide. I honestly couldn't give a s**t about her mental health issues. She is a monster and I truly hope she is getting the kind of treatment that child killers are afforded by fellow inmates in prison. So glad she escaped the death penalty as it would have been way too easy for her - let her suffer till her dying day for her premeditatad slaughter of these three babies who must surely be resting in peace.

It's unbelievable. I struggle with mental issues, and unfortunately had PPD, but you have child(ren) when you are prepared to let go of your "life" for the one(s) you grow in your body. It's wild to me, because hearing your child say "I love you mama" is the 2nd best thing I've ever experienced. Hearing her cry post birth (she made it!), being placed on my chest and immediately stopped crying, me holding her tiny hands & body in my arms, and the moment she opened her eyes and looked right at me. I didn't know they opened their eyes so soon! We just started at each other, and I told her how much I will always love her. So when your baby is finally old enough to say "I love you mama", it's literally a reminder of every moment you've shared with the life you brought into this world. It's amazing. My girl just turned 2, so I guess I'm just still in that amazed moment. But she melts me everytime she says that and blows a little kiss. I couldn't imagine the evil in your heart to hurt such a little life. Specifically one you created & nourished with your own body. It's nonsensical. Get help (mental/family if available), or just flat out leave. There's no reason to resort to such evils. She deserves whatever happens to her in prison. Just like the men, the ladies also "handle" those that harm innocent little ones...
If you're incapable of parenting, just leave. Please.

  • @Nutiiiiiiii

Her note basically said ‘I didn’t kill my kids, you did’ as a psychological game. It’s a narcissistic way to stint her own responsibility so she wouldn’t have to feel guilt for what she did. She’ll play victim to get validation that she’s right, that she’s not a nasty person and coerce people to goad for her and tell her she’s not. Manipulation, they’re masters at it, like *really* and it’s scary.
I know this extremely well because my mother is that type. Luckily, I was able to live, grow and get away with a few scars. It’s a very intense game of chance surviving mothers like that. They’re far better at an arms length, that’s if you can make it past being a child, imprisoned powerlessly under the supervision of unnecessary evil.
Don’t trust Facebook moms who post everyday about loving her kids, because the brutal reality is, she really doesn’t.
