While this whole story is shocking, the fact that an 18 year old girl who is 8 months pregnant and homeless is in such a desperate position that she meets up with a stranger off Craigslist to have sex in some random ass park in the middle of the night for just $50 is absolutely heartbreaking..
So true. Why couldn’t she just live with her mom? She was barely 18, her mom seemed like she didn’t get involved in her daughter’s personal life at all. Idk, I’m best friends with my mom and I couldn’t imagine her letting me live on the streets pregnant and a teenager. I’m not saying this was her fault at all, but I do believe her mom let her down.
Yea, her mom let her down. Her mom was clearly emotionally absent. I thought that too I would never let my pregnant daughter be on the street. It is dangerous out there. That shows a lack of care and concern. And she was basically still a child, if you ask me. Like wtff. And I bet the mom doesn't lose one wink of sleep at night knowing she allowed her pregnant teenage daughter to be out on the streets. No sense of "it was partly my fault" in any way.
I’m sure narrator said that they couldn’t meet at their place.prob the mothers house if she already had the nursery ready. Can’t have a paying customer come over so you sell yourself can you. Not sure how mother is ‘clearly’ emotionally absent?
He drove her around in the trunk for two hours & sprayed her in the face with computer cleaner. No one had ever put those words together in a sentence until now - George Carlin.
It's a little alarming how many people have willing gotten in a suitcase. Melissa was lucky to make it out alive. Please don't ever let somebody talk you into a suitcase 😊
I actually started crying when I heard Deb talking at the end. The devastation and suffering she faces is almost impossible to grasp. Pain continues and so does grief, but I hope she also continues to heal at the same time. Many thanks to her for continuing to share her daughter’s story.
This is the worst heartache to exist. Not only was your child killed but tortured extensively for a long time also killing your grandchild. I don’t wish it on anyone.
@@hastyhillfarmand4x480 You don't remember that youtuber that charged her audience on patreon for the autopsy photos of an 11yr old kid a few months ago? Can't remember her name since I don't actually watch her videos.
Thank you for being one of the few who consistently give REAL voices to victims and/or their families. The respect you show them and the opportunity you give them to speak freely about their experiences should be the standard.
This is one of the scariest cases ever. This guy had so many cameras in his house, he filmed himself in the bathroom even. And lived in complete filth. The only thing that's been released is a few short clips of her cage and him walking around the house. Just imagine the horrors those cameras tell. The investigators/DA must've watched those with one eye closed
I lived in the building directly facing the field she was found in. We were on our patio at 3 in the morning smoking/hanging out, and we heard rustling out in that field the night they dissapeared. We thought it was a deer until my friend woke me the next morning up to the cops out there searching everywhere, helicopters overhead; it was truly horrifying to think about what we really heard.
I almost lost it whenever EWU called out Brady’s [twisted gross self] with that deeply serious voice, talking about some… “A casually dressed Brady, in what appears to be boxers and a tank top, scratches himself as he appears to be thinking of how to approach his task… “And then its back to more scratching!”😂 It’s rather refreshing to catch some EWU humor every once in awhile, it makes for a nice little “doom break” during the telling of these really tragic events… thank you much sir!
Well it's exceptionally sad because she didn't have much regard for her baby either, you know the "advertising my new pregnancy on Craigslist to attract random sick men to ride me bareback in a parking lot" part speaks for itself.
@unarmored9973 exactly! At first she was all about using condoms but that extra 40$ and she threw that notion out the window! Absolutely sickening to put your child at risk. It's a sad case from all angles! That poor baby never even had a chance.
@@93FilmsandMedia some people want that treatment because from experience, its what they feel like they deserve. its so sad if thats the case, but it could also be as surface level as an odd kink gone way too far. sad either way 🙁
Without consent, it's cruelty and criminal. With consent, it's providing a safe space to be vulnerable. The physical acts are part of a psychological and physiological experience rather than an end unto themselves. Safe word(s) revoke consent, which makes the "sub" ultimately in control as they can make it stop. Doms know and push but ultimately respect limits. Abusers don't.
@@andiward7068sadly the fine line between the two is the worst part with me. I'm a sub myself and have been in wayyyyyy too many situations and relationships where it was just abuse. A lot of people seem to think being a Dom, means doing whatever you want with full control while the sub just deals with it....which is not okay. The moment anyone brings out a "slave contract" just fucking run for the hills.
Idk how to explain this but. The part about him squeezing hands too hard when he was greeting someone? I’ve had that happen before and it was such a creepy feeling.. I was bartending and someone I was waiting on introduced himself and offered his hand so I shook it and he hurt me he squeezed so hard. I acted like nothing happened but he had a smirk on his face like he knew he did it. Creepiest feeling ever.
I’ve unfortunately I too have had the same experience. There’s a big difference between a nice firm handshake and one that’s way too hard and meant to hurt. Those type of people make me feel very uneasy.
A lot of guys do that as some sort of dominance thing, it's so pathetic. It's like they heard of a "good, strong handshake" and go way overboard and performative. No one is impressed by getting their hand squished lol. We should phase out handshakes anyways. I don't wanna touch a strangers hands. who knows where it's been??
The fact that her bf was willing to trick her out at 8 months pregnant for $50 speaks volumes. That, and the alleged ways he treated the girl, leaves me not that torn up that he was found dead.
i remember being so shocked when i first heard this case & learning it’s in the same city i reside in, so close to home. Each time i drive past that park i get instant chills knowing what took place there. Thank u for bringing light to this case. May both victims rest peacefully.
@@angelicroses5067No one “let’s” this stuff happen to them. The fact that EWU is able to add humor to their videos while also respecting the victims and families and delivering accurate information is wonderful. The cases are so sad that its nice to have a script and narration that has personality. This case is especially heartbreaking and I hope the mother continues to heal from her loss
"True Crime Loser" (Scott) and "Reporting from my Sofa" (Paul) also bring in levity to their work while being very respectful of the victim's. I always wonder how they manage to do that!
Let us all thank Deb for having the strength to talk about the tragic loss of her daughter, it’s very evident that Brooke was very loved and her baby would have been taken care of by good souls. May Brooke, Audi, and Charles find peace.
I agree, but girls don't go with guys like Charles, have some respect. What kind of man would pimp the mother of his baby out like that? The same kind of man that would have left her alone, homeless with a newborn baby.
Then why was she homeless and sleeping with someone for a little bit of money. Her mom should have been there for her. Maybe I missed something but yea
I just went on such a binge of your videos, I didn't realize I had circled back to the newest one!! Truly the best RUclips True Crime Channel I've found!
Forgot to mention she was literally being murdered as the police were waiting outside his house for him to leave. If there was only a way for them to enter legally it would have saved her life. Truly tragic all around
@@hisaceinthehole3426If you believe in miracles. The only way that baby would have a better life (after being born with drugs in her system) is if DCS took the baby and the child was removed and placed with a good family. If being pregnant wasn't enough to stop this girl from doing the worst things, then how would it change after the birth? This is the reality of people like this.
If this grandmother was so concerned about her 8 month pregnant daughter, why was she living on the streets? She said she had a nursery for the baby but couldn’t give her daughter a home. Something weird happening there.
To all the people asking why Brooke was homeless if her Mom, Deb “cared so much.” Deb made a nursery for her unborn granddaughter! I’m willing to bet that she asked more than once for Brooke to come live with her & leave that loser Charlie. When women are in abusive relationships, the abusers completely control them. Brooke probably wanted to move in with her Mother, but Charlie had too strong of a grasp on her! Don’t just assume that Deb didn’t offer Brooke a place to live!! How about instead of that, we empathize and understand that Deb is tormented & grieving! How about we have some compassion and understand that we don’t know everything!! I’m so saddened by some of these comments. 🤦🏾♀️ 😢Im so sorry that not only did Deb lose her Daughter & Granddaughter, but now she’s seeing cruel comments from strangers who feel that they have the right to assume things & judge her based on their assumptions!! Sickening!
the Nation of Islam kidnapped junkies to get them clean. If you care about someone who isn't in control of their life, you take control of it for them. Screw the legal consequences, its your kids LIFE.
So tragic. These always bring tears to my eyes for the absolute heartbreak these families have to go through. And the absolute suffering the victims endure the last minutes of their lives. People are evil. RIP Brooke, baby Audi and Charles
It's crazy when you watch these videos and see how disgusting these people are in their homes...like do they not know how to throw trash away and clean up? It's not that hard. It sickens me how many people out there are this disgusting.
I live in the area and honestly had no clue about it until I heard the story online. It's honestly shocking cause you hear these stories from different places in the world and don't imagine it essentially happening next door. it sounds like she was probably a pretty damaged girl in the first place. people like Brady tend seek out vulnerable, damaged and/or uncared for victims.
I've never heard this case before and that's kinda wild being that true crime is all I watch or listen to. Mostly. Thank you for giving Deb a real voice. I cannot fathom her grief but, she shows a strength that should and has inspired me.
His behaviors as described by roommates points directly to a psychosis of unrealistic anxiety about normal things. That "bottle peeing" is very much connected to extreme OCD, as is the really messy surroundings and failure to bathe (remember Howard Hughes?). It is also connected to the aggressive hand-shaking. He cannot control his anxiety, but he can exert control through a handshake, by showing off his firearms in front of children, and engaging in fantasy role-playing games. Finding ways to be dominant probably balanced his un-diagnosed psychosis, which helped "flip the switch" into an alternate reality.
Very good video. It tells the story in a very detailed way, but also being respectful. Without the need to be overly dramatic that other youtube channels and even TV shows quite often resort to.

Fetishes aren't inherently bad, nor is any sort of kink. But engaging in kink with a complete stranger with absolutely no planning, safewords, or even knowing if you can trust the person not to really harm you is insane.
It was "Melissa" who INSANELY agreed to that, but was miraculously not murdered. Brooke was the one murdered, and found in the suitcase after her and weird boyfriend agreed to even more INSANE things.

You would be surprised how many parents are not like that with their children. I have had friends that have been in bad spots and stuff and their parents kick them out actually. When I was 18 I had to have a friend move in with me and my family, because my parents didn’t want her to be homeless after her parents kicked her out because they found a little bit of weed. There are so many parents out there, that care more about themselves than their own children.

I’ve seen a lot of crime videos/stories but this one makes me sick. The fact that he recorded him torturing that poor pregnant girl before he strangled her is pure evil. The evil human beings are capable of is scary. There is a lot of good in this world, but a lot more evil.

Brooke sweetheart, if your spirit can hear this I want you to know you are loved and beautiful and I’m sorry you went through that. Hope you and your unborn baby are at rest. ❤
What I truly can't fathom is the fact that these kids had seemingly normal parents with homes of their own and yet, their kids opted to live their lives in uncertainty, poverty and crime. Why? I'd rather live with my parents (as I did) until I put my ducks in a row than hooking up with some trash people, couch-surfing, and being ass broke+begging strangers for money. Kids, stay on your ass, educate yourselves, get a job, and THEN move out and find your ways. ☹️
I think there’s likely a lot left out of the story for the sake of giving the victims dignity. I understand this, but I also can’t fathom putting myself in a situation like this. I did some reckless things in my teens and early 20’s, but this is incredibly high risk behavior. No one deserves what happened to these kids, but I feel most for her unborn child who never had a chance. The parents failed her before she was ever allowed to grow up and make her own mistakes. Such a tragic case.
Some kids don't have a choice. I'm not saying AT ALL that Deb is a bad Mom, in fact I feel terrible for her, but I'm just saying that there are abused, victimized kids out there who HAVE to leave terrible situations.
Brooke was a teenager and she was pregnant! Why is she not in school or working a regular job?? Her mother has a nursery ready for Audi but couldn’t give 50 bucks to Brooke ?! Also what kind of childhood trauma has she been through that she considered herself so poor in value, to be involved with a man like Charles ???? It’s sooo confusing
You'd be surprised at the number of women who will invite me into their home with their young children having never met me. You'd be baffled at the number of women I've been able to lure down a single lane dirt road to a shack deep in the forest by telling them "oh, there's no address but just drive to the end of the road and keep going into the trees...just ignore the hundreds of 'no trespassing' signs flanking the 'road' and keep going until you get to a gate. I have guns so don't be startled when you get here." AND THEY DO IT. They say things like, "please don't be a serial killer." AND THEY STILL DO IT. Once I borrowed a friend's van for a group camping trip. When I arrived, I hopped out and yelled, "hey everyone...I have puppies and candy in here." ...you know, to be funny cause it's stereotypical. But EVERY SINGLE WOMAN came running over. I've never met them before either so it's not like they recognized me as someone they knew. It was hilarious...I was baffled that actually still works. People gave Ted bundy too much credit...he didn't charm anyone. Women make terribly risky decisions.

I would never let my pregnant daughter be on the street. It is dangerous out there. That shows a lack of care and concern. And she was basically still a child, if you ask me. Like wtff.

The investigators/DA must've watched those with one eye closed
I lived in the building directly facing the field she was found in. We were on our patio at 3 in the morning smoking/hanging out, and we heard rustling out in that field the night they dissapeared. @heatherbarnett1416 yes 1:43 and he is back to scratching but this time he is dressed and probably unbathed 😂. No I added unbathed
That comment resounded with me too. It is definitely a thing that creepy guys do. A dominance thing. It is gross and scary.
When guys did that to me id always smirk back and tell them "is there something you're trying to prove" to make them uncomfortable back 😆
Usually insecure guys try to prove something to themselves by doing this.

The mother's message at the end hit really hard :(, I'm glad that people reached out about it in a positive way at least.

You cannot be that dense. And "...no control over what they become when they are adults"????? SHE WASN'T AN ADULT. Did you miss that? All this was done to a very misguided, lost, drug addicted, codependent, low self esteemed pregnant teen girl. If she was 30 and this happened no one would care if she was hooking in a park pregnant and on drugs at midnight with Charlie. And yeah he'd done this before with her. It was not the first time he had her do that for money. There is far more to the "behind the scenes" but if you want to lay this ALL at the feet of poor girl that needed guidance and better parenting when she hit puberty, then by all means, Deb is a saint and a perfect mother. @abelis644
I will never ever understand how someone can murder anyone other self defense or trying to help someone etc. Just blows my mind.
The two that died shared another daughter. Her stepfather was just sentenced to prison for molesting her. Lot of trauma in that little girl's life.
bro people take their fetishes too far. shoulda been a red flag when she was told to get into a suitcase. why would you consent to that. not her fault things happened to her it’s just insane ppl take their sex lives so far
I’m a bartender and I see people with that look in their eyes that Brady has every now and then. It’s horrifying how people like this guy are just out there floating around in the world 🫨
If that's you in your profile photo, you have scary eyes, too. You can't judge a person by 'a look in their eyes'.
@@jamesoshea580😂😂
I was once involved with a man who I caught with just an awful look in his eyes, the only thing I could think was that it was like a hyena. I cut contact and no longer have anything at all to do with men.
I had a bf once that was sociopathic. I took him to my regular bar and the bartender (who I knew well) asked if I could please get the guy out because he was looking freakily at people. I felt so bad and embarrassed but I totally understood where he was coming from.
Thats funny for you to say because if thats you on your profile pic then you definetly have some crazy looking eyes lmao ... Yet you are problaby not crazy thats why you can't judge people just based on their looks , i've also met weird looking people that are great guys , and good/normal looking people that are complete assholes
At the risk of sounding like I'm victim blaming, Melissa didn't have any sense of self-preservation.
I mean she went into a suit case… into a strangers car I think that goes without saying
Yes, it is very disturbing!
outside of her continued eating, its like she was trying to delete herself.
Like most western women.
Why wasn't Brooke staying with her Mother instead of her man & his ex..?? So odd.
Best guess would be a combination of drug addiction and mental issues.
@bangkokjack4698 That is the truth. 8 months pregnant, but you and your boyfriend are going to meet a total stranger to have some kind of threesome, bareback, at midnight, in a public park for 120? The fuck!? Shit was dire.
There are so many parents out there, that care more about themselves than their own children.
the same reason George Floyd was on the literal other side of the country from his family. Loving someone doesn't mean you want their bullshit around you 24/7.
@@BrooklynBalla Too young, btw she was 18 and 8 months pregnant, when did this Charles bastard start creeping up on her?
Thank you for reaching out to her mother (Deb) She sounds such a loving mother and a strong lady, sometimes when I watch the crimes that happen I sometimes don’t think of the heart break that follows said crimes so Thank you Mr Content Creator and have a Merry Christmas and a break from creating content 😊

Wrong! A loving mother doesn't let her young daughter become homeless and pregnant at 18. A loving mother puts her child first. A loving mother would do everything in her power to make sure her 18-year-old daughter isn't homeless..8 months pregnant...and having sex with a stranger in a park...for money. Nothing about this scenario tells me that DEB was a loving mother. It does tell me that she failed her daughter and is now spewing BS to the gullible.
I’ve seen a lot of crime videos/stories but this one makes me sick. The fact that he recorded him torturing that poor pregnant girl before he strangled her is pure evil. The evil human beings are capable of is scary. There is a lot of good in this world, but a lot more evil.
And that map showed he wanted his miserable carcass to survive Armageddon. Survive so evil can take over the earth?
@@junemarshall-kingsley566 Evil will take over, but temporarily for 7 years. It's called tribulation. The criminal cabal has already established itself. Can't you tell?
you must be confused. theres way more good than evil in this world.

Thank you so much for the strength it must have taken to talk through this incident for all of us to hear. I hope you and your family are holding one another close each day and continue to keep her alive in memory and spirit.
Thank you EWU for all the hard work and truth you put into these videos.
I'm not saying AT ALL that Deb is a bad Mom, in fact I feel terrible for her,
but I'm just saying that there are abused, victimized kids out there who HAVE to leave terrible situations.
Had to scroll way too far to find a comment like this. What in the world kind of decisions got these people where they ended up. Crazy
That's today's normal😢
As much as I’m serious as I’m watching from the start the “more scratching “ “as he’s scratching-“ just sounds unhinged 😭HAHAHHA
The fake blurred photos tho 😭😂
Right? I’m like no way the first gf and Melissa are that pretty/ normal looking lol
Def not ad an additional 250 lbs and an eye brow ring and maybe
Right? Apparently there's a plethora of small hot blondes crawling all over craigslist.
Most people feel less bad for someone who's not pretty.
😂 I was wondering if the photos were legit. My mind was telling me no but them being blurred threw me off

Who the f meets a stranger and then willingly gets in a suit case?
A god damn moron
I can't even get a date but an overweight psycho killer can convince a cute blonde to get into a suitcase😂😂😂
People do a lot worse for money in the name of someone’s fetish I guess. Boggles me too
Who the f willingly gets in a suit case anyway?
You'd be surprised at the number of women who will invite me into their home with their young children having never met me.
You'd be baffled at the number of women I've been able to lure down a single lane dirt road to a shack deep in the forest by telling them "oh, there's no address but just drive to the end of the road and keep going into the trees...just ignore the hundreds of 'no trespassing' signs flanking the 'road' and keep going until you get to a gate. I have guns so don't be startled when you get here."
AND THEY DO IT.
They say things like, "please don't be a serial killer."
AND THEY STILL DO IT.
Once I borrowed a friend's van for a group camping trip. When I arrived, I hopped out and yelled, "hey everyone...I have puppies and candy in here."
...you know, to be funny cause it's stereotypical. But EVERY SINGLE WOMAN came running over. I've never met them before either so it's not like they recognized me as someone they knew.
It was hilarious...I was baffled that actually still works.
People gave Ted bundy too much credit...he didn't charm anyone. Women make terribly risky decisions.
This just made me so sad. She seemed like a lovely girl.
The narration is everything
My heart breaks for the families of his victims 💜
The fact that a 18 year old PREGNANT girl is homeless and willing to have sex with a complete stranger for just $50 freaking dollars is the first thing thats completly wrong here..... Why is an 18 years old girl with a mother in that situation ? I know damn well i would never let my daughter be in that position i don't know if i can feel bad for the mother because that speaks volumes to me of how good/bad of a mother she was
Never stop uploading 🙏🏼 this is fascinating
In July 2014 I was 9 months pregnant and 18. I named my daughter Audi. She turns 10 this year. This hit a little scarily close to home. Considering I also was homeless while pregnant at that time.
that’s crazy! how’s everything going for you? bless your soul
@@lyla958 I am now married and a homeowner. I am also a stay at home mom with 2 more kids. I struggled for a while after having Audi. But after the help of a non profit organization in my home town I was able to have safe housing and get back on my feet. Once I was back on my feet I met my now husband. We have been married now 3 years and together 5 years. We bought our home just 2 years ago. Things still get rough from time to time. But we have always made it through.
Audi is in 5th grade and a huge animal lover and book worm. She is so sweet and has lots of friends. She is also very active in choir, track, and soccer. She’s an amazing big sister. I am very blessed and don’t take it for granted for a second.
😮
The awful truth is that there are more monsters like this POS that thankfully took his own life, then most people would like to think about. My only thought on why the second girl didn't press charges was for fear of him and for her life. That, or she thought if I have to relive all of this I a trial, it will actually kill me. I can promise you, she relives it every day in her head, however, having to see him again in any capacity is completely paralyzing.
I'm glad the Fiancé survived knowing this vile person but, with all she now knows about his actions, to remember him as a Teddy bear? This really does point to her failings that brought them together and her inability to just call him out for what he is.
She's simply telling what he was like with her.
The story does allude to the fact that he changed when she broke up with him.
7 years of taking his money and than cucking him in the end, she started this shit
you mean when she destroyed his life and finances. She didn't "break up" with him. Its like calling rape "surprise sex."@@abelis644
It is also completely possible he was a different person with her
Tina caused him to snap by manipulating him. Not saying he wasn't crazy to begin with but Tina was the catalyst.
We are now living in this world where we aren’t supposed to shame people…. And it’s wrong some need to be shamed.. young ladies if you are dating a man that is doing anything less than loving you and trying to protect you then run..
I grew up in a DV house, my family are all women who are abused by their bfs/husbands. It must have hit genetically because I know the warning signs and as soon as the person you love start hitting you/making you feel bad for no reason- is a huge Red flag and to get out!
"we mutually broke up shortly after sending out wedding invitations, and he told me to keep the $30k ring"
yeah, okay.
Sounds like she lead him along and scammed him out of a bundle of money for years.
@Corvid- bingo. I'm guessing she had way, way more to do with his mental state than she's letting on. Especially since others have said the perp said she took his money
yeah, every woman he ever met used him for money, and all the girls in the comments are shocked he turned into an incel. @@Corvid-
@@Corvid- Sounds like he was a sadistic misogynist piece of shit and she felt justified in keeping the ring over all the abuse he put her through
4:04 Crazy Eyes huh? Yeah I can see why he was described like that 👁 👁
Not tryin to victim blame but… 8 months prego and having s*x for money is just crazy!
I'm quite frankly stunned that finding strangers on the internet then, following them home immediately after meeting them panned out like this.
True love.
In a park at midnight? 😢
Still didn't deserve it.
right, people use COMMON SENSE!!
She was only 18 and 8 months pregnant...having sex with strangers in parks...and bringing the pervy boyfriend along...so I'm going to assume her own mother did a sh*t job raising her. Her mother makes me sick and listening to her on here acting like the saint she is made me want to puke.
Mate have you considered doing a piece on Mark Andrew Twitchell, because you really should check him out. While I don't wish to spoil things, I can and will promise you that Twitchell's case is a wild ride!
1. Meet on Craigslist
2. Voluntarily climb into suitcase????
Wtf
then willingly sign a slave contract..
I feel bad for the first girl who thought she was getting into a normal contract, she didn’t deserve that abuse.
My heart absolutely breaks for Brooke's mom and the families involved.
This story makes me care even less that people keep telling me to cut my 19 yr old daughter off bc she needs to grow up (she's bipolar so she may never) but these are the things people do to our babies when they're vulnerable.
