For the Ergo-Lift hinge, I had an Asus who's screen used to get insanely hot after long gaming sessions and I used it for over two years and saw no visible issues with it. I think the screens themselves have a thick layer on top of them which dissipates the heat and protects the screen, but it is safe to say that the heat won't damage the screen.

A laptop cooling fan that blows down would just make the laptop hotter. You want the cooling fan to blow up since laptops suck air in from the bottom.

Every laptop user should know this.
    1.
Just “raise the bottom” let more air into the machine and you will found cpu&gpu each them reduce 10~15°C or in high usage will have more efficacy
    2.
You shouldn’t be use “laptop cooler” , cuz that effectiveness actually just like you put two bottle caps under laptop to raise it.
But the cooler still use your limited power and it will let cpu&gpu become more hungry.
Unless it has an “independent power supply”.
There also very many ways let your experience better , like
“gamer most of the time should limit cpu’s PL1&PL2 and offset voltage”
    “discrete graphics card overclock”.
“Replace the thermal paste and clean the fan dust”.

    i have msi delta 15 with 5800h.
cpu is warming up unnecessarily, even if simple tasks.
reason of that; is not cooling solutions; CPU cores reach 1.400 volts nearly every tasks. it is so high. my old laptop is have i7-2630qm and i dont remeber raised 1.300v (45-54w tdp same as 5800h).
in addition; we cannot do unervolt / negative voltage offsets. it is so stupit i am not glad AMD.
while writing this comment; cpu usage is 2-3% but i am hearing little sharp fan noise. (i dont remeber fan noise bellow 8-9% on my old laptop).

Just an FYI, the verge has reported that this model costs $2500. There will be a 6700s model that will be $1600. Assuming the verge's article was accurate (they said they heard that from Asus) I think the huge price hike makes this laptop way less exciting. It's a 30-40% boost in performance, sure, but for a 66% price jump :/
