You are the BEST "TUTOR" I've ever watched on You Tube. You explain, show, and repeat a couple of times in a slow place, but it's fast enough. Your camera angle is perfect. I'm recommending you to everyone. AND -- it's Cyber Monday 2023 and I'm headed to Craft Stores to buy this yarn. I've got two ladies I'd like to give this to, and it is fast and beautiful. THANK YOU!!! 😘

Hey jennie, i just want to ask if instead chain 2 at every end of the row, can i do double crochet at that space? Because whenever i do chain 2, the edge of my piece will always be crooked.
Thank you, I make quite a few baby blankets and am making a chunky throw with 93 chains for my friend who is battling ovarian cancer...I love this blanket..thank you again @@ByJenniDesigns
I think baby blankets are what I crochet the most and I have used this pattern for it too. 🙂 I am so sorry to hear about your friend, I will keep him/her in my thoughts. I am sure the blanket will be well received. ❤️
Hi! Unfortunately, I don't have the exact chain amount that I've used when making this for a baby but you can subtract from the chain in incrimates of 3 and then measure the chain to get a general idea of the finished size. Just remember the border will add a few inches to the size at the end.
hi! thank you for this tutorial im so excited to start😄 one question: is the width of the 93 chains including the border or is it only the main body and the border is added after?
I made this blanket for a colleague and just finished it, made it a little bigger than a throw blanket (more like queen size). I washed and tumble dry on low and it came out great! My fiancé wants me to make him one, however, he doesn’t like any holes in his blanket. Can this pattern also work with just a SC instead of double crochet, and would the ends still be the same (ch 4, turn, start from the 4th chain in the beginning.. then after each row ch 2 then turn)?
That's a great idea! For this, your beginning chain should be a multiple of 3 + 2, start in the 3rd ch from the hook and at the end of each row ch 1 before turning. I worked up a small sample to test it out and there still will be small holes but definitely not as big as the original pattern. I might have to actually work one up this way too. 😁
Yay! Thank you so much for responding! I really loved your design patterns and the borders just adds that finished look, def takes it to the top and makes the finished product look like it was purchased instead of made ❤ I already started with the chain 😁😁😁
@@ByJenniDesigns Thank you so much for the super fast reply. Is it the same for working into the 4th chain from the beginning? Am i counting 1 chain, 2chain, 3chain, 4chain, then working into the 5th chain?
Hi Jen When you did 93 stitches and you said if you want to add more then do increments of 3 does that mean if you had 100 stitches you’d do 103 or do you mean from 93 it would be 96, 99, 102, 105 etc ?
Of the four skeins used for this, how many were used for the 38”x54” main body of the blanket (“v” stitch area) & how many are needed for just the border (in particular the ribbed border)?
I am on my 4th skeinand I'm only on row 44. I am not going to get to row 62 before I run out, and I have followed the directions. Each skein is 220 yards too
Be careful. You’d need to spend at least 80.00 on this-if you use the skeins that are 150yards. I found out the hard way. She is using the double skein.
Hi Boden, I'm sorry I didn't get the tutorial up yesterday! Things got busy BUT I just uploaded the video for you now, you can find it here: ruclips.net/video/f0-9vcJsWeM/видео.html Thanks so much for your question!

Thanks so much Bernadette! They are showing up as hyperlinks for me! 🙃
Yay! Clearly I don't know how RUclips works. Lol
😂 You did great, I appreciate it! I'm still learning here too!
awesome work Jenni Thank you ❤
You're welcome 🥰 and thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment! 😊
This is now my favorite blanket pattern to make. 🥰
So happy to hear that, Christina! 🙂
Thanks so much for this pattern it looks so good with my chunky cat 🐈
What a beautiful pattern thankyou ❤❤
I am on my fourth skein, and I am not going to make it to row 62. I may need to get a 5th skein to do the border
Hey jennie, i just want to ask if instead chain 2 at every end of the row, can i do double crochet at that space? Because whenever i do chain 2, the edge of my piece will always be crooked.
If I count my stitches in each row, should I then have 90? Does the turning chain count on each end?
I wonder if i can make it with bulky cotton and acrylic yarn !
A strand of each held together? It definitely could work, I'd love to know what your results are if you try it out!
If you wanted to make a baby blanket with this stitch, what are the multiples? I love this Bernat and also the border
Hi Cynthia, thank you. You can subtract from the beginning chain in multiples of 3. 🙂

Hi Nicola! The border is added at the end. 🙂
Love this blanket! What are the dimensions on the finished piece?
Thanks Alexandra! The finished blanket (with border) should be about 45" x 60".

When I "skip 2" am I counting 1 chain, then 2 chains and going into THAT chain? Or am I counting 1 chain, 2 chain, then going INTO the 3rd chain?
Hi, thanks for the question! You would be going into the 3rd chain.

I believe a full ball is needed for the border but it's been a while since I've made one so I can't be positive. Sorry I can't be of much more help.

The balls are 220 yards, joanns usually have them on sale, if not on sale use the 50%- 60% off coupons,
@@tracylitsinger I never have 50-60% I found the 300 gm 220 yds at Wallmart for the price I paid on amazon for the 150. 8.99 each
If i want, try t0 make a bigger blanket using 160. How many rowes d0 Ineed .
I have five Brent yran.
love this pattern! how do i switch to a new ball of yarn once one is out?
Thanks for the comment Boden! It's a tad hard to explain in words but I will get up a quick tutorial tomorrow to explain how I do it.

Awesome blanket, great teacher 👍
Thanks so much Inacio! 🙂
How much yarn did you use and what was the size?
Hi Kiera, each blanket will use about 880 yards and the finished size (with border) will be approximately 45" x 60".
Beautiful work and lovely tutorial thank you. What beautiful elegant hands and nails you have too x 🥰👏
Thanks so much Beverley! 💜
