Crystal, thanks so much for inspiring me to make this baby blanket. It's not easy for me, but I'm persevering. I'm 75 and fairly new to crocheting. The videos are all I have, which helps, especially yours. I'm only on row 4 of this baby blanket, I'll send pic when done. I'm sure nobody cares, but this is a big deal for me and very exciting. I can't wait to do ruffle.
The first few rows are always the hardest. I've been crocheting for many years and I still have to be very careful when I start a new project. Trust the instructions and keep going! Love from New Mexico.
Crystal, I am so thankful for your talent and your generosity in sharing it with the public!! Since I watched your video, I decided to use it to make a baby blanket for my first grandchild. And while I’m waiting for his/her birth, I’ve made 2, and I’m going to make a third. It’s so precious and so soft and so beautiful. (the ruffle MAKES the whole blanket- adorable!!). I can’t thank you enough!!! Please keep sharing your incredible talent!!
Crystal Thanks So Much I'm 11 years old and I've always wanted to know how to crochet a blanket You made it so simple thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you 😊🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Crystal, thanks so much for making my first crocheting project a success!!! It took me 3 tries to create a beautiful blanket, but thanks to your video I was able to get it right! My struggles were in keeping my sides straight. By the third attempt I started counting my stitches and that made all of the difference. Thanks again
I absolutely love this pattern. The ruffle border is awesome. It really upgraded the blanket. I am making this blanket for my niece for her baby shower. I will be using the Bernal yarn, it is so super soft. Thank you so much for the video.
Thank you!!! I wish I’d found this video yesterday. Now I’m going to undo what I’ve done yesterday & 45mins today to make this pattern. Thank you!!!! I can’t wait to make this blanket!
I'm just finishing up this blanket for a co-worker who just had a baby. I used Bernat Baby Blanket in Raspberry Kisses, its perfect for a baby girl. The ruffle border gives it that extra wow!
Perfect....just what I was looking for as I am brand new to crochet.....and I am learning one or two stitches at a time! Thank you for all of your posts....
Thank you for sharing this video. I really love your baby blanket! It is so beautiful. I am going to try this the best I can for this would be my first time. :)
Thank tou so much ive just gotten into crocheting, rhis was my first peoject and really enjoyed it mine wasnt as big due to not enough yarn but i had lots of fun
I am making this for my grandson. Questions - since the ruffled border seems feminine what other kind of border could I put on as I think borders create a finished product. I am using a multicolored yarn - Bernal blanket extra. Will this work for this patttern? I was going to make a solid colored border - any thoughts about if that would look good or not recommended.
My question, is where do you find huge cakes like that? As I live on a VERY rural island. We only have 1 grocery store, 3 restaurants, a drugstore, and one bar. 😅 so I mostly do my yarn shopping online. Amazon, Walmart etc.
I lucked out and found it at Joann’s I believe (or maybe it was Michaels?) I hear ya though, I used to live in a rural town with nothing but a Walmart 😅. You should be able to find it online I think 😊
sorry another question ok I know my other questions ain't here on this video but someone mentioned that to make a lap blanket if I chain cast on that then I can do just owl eye to finish???
Hi! For some reason the length sides of the blanket don’t look very pretty :( I definitely did something wrong lol. This is my third blanket I’ve made with this pattern and I love it! But for some reason I can’t get the length side to look like yours. It looks like there are two chains then a single string of yarn, then it counties like that. I wanted to attached a photo, but it doesn’t let me 😭
Hi, newbie here. I’m going to use this to start a blanket. However, I think I’m going to use a white yarn for the ruffle border. I’m hoping I can figure out how to use a new yarn when I get to that part . 🥴

You're never to old to learn to crocheting!! I learned when I was young, I still love to crochet!
Beautiful. You are such a good teacher, very patient and you go slow enough to not get confused. Thank Tou😊

This was my 1st blanket. The instructions were very easy to follow and it worked up quickly over 2 weekends.

I’m working with the Raspberry Kisses! It’s coming out nicely; I can’t wait to add the border.
Super helpful and easy to follow! You rock!
Absolutely loved this! Made a cute baby blanket for my daughter's friend, who lost her mother last year....:)
Perfect....just what I was looking for as I am brand new to crochet.....and I am learning one or two stitches at a time! Thank you for all of your posts....
A super blanket looks extra special with the lovely lacey border, thanks.

Absolutely gorgeous😍❤just finished mine for a friend..soo easy but very cute. Loved the tutorial
This was my first crocheting project and you made it so easy to do! Thank you for sharing this video and making it possible for beginners.
Thank you for telling how much yarn you used and also dimensions of blanket! So many videos dont do that, so nice job!
You are so welcome!
Love the ruffle border. My first border and it was super easy. Thank you.
Love the edging!
Just finished this. It was so simple and turned out beautiful 😍 thank you so much!
Great video for beginners! Thank you🙏🏼

Thank you for sharing this video. I really love your baby blanket! It is so beautiful. I am going to try this the best I can for this would be my first time. :)
Thank tou so much ive just gotten into crocheting, rhis was my first peoject and really enjoyed it mine wasnt as big due to not enough yarn but i had lots of fun
i used a multi colored yarn and it turned out so prettyyyy! thank you!
Thanks for the great pattern!!
Absolutely beautiful
So amazing! ❤❤❤
Awesome!!
precious
If I would make it larger, how many chains to enlarge?
Was the last side 2 double crochet in each stitch going across or 3?
Can I wash this blanket in the washing machine?
Yes you can! 😊

Can we use any kind of yarn or it has to be the one u have ?
Hi Crystal. Can I make this blanket out of any bulky yarn as long as it’s a 6? Would I need to use a different size hook?
If I wanted to make this bigger, are there specific multiples I need to chain? For example chain any multiples of 3 or 2?
This is also my question!
Did anyone figure out the answer to this question? I would like to make this but a bigger size
I just doubled it

52 ch
Sk ch, hdc in all
Hdc back loop in all
Repeat until 30 rows
My Bernat yarn says to use an 8 mm hook, would that change the end result a lot or can I use a 10 mm with that yarn?
sorry another question ok I know my other questions ain't here on this video but someone mentioned that to make a lap blanket if I chain cast on that then I can do just owl eye to finish???
the lap blanket on zippy loom
I think that would work! I plan on making a video for a blanket on a loom in the near future 😊
kind of wondering if it should be ch 2 when turning rows
Love this blanket!
I’m wondering if you think it would look okay to do the ruffle in a different color?
Sure! I think that would be super cute!
Thank you!
Will it works on 11.5 mm crochet?
Could you tell me how to make it bigger and is it 3row pattern all the way through please someone help me
To make it bigger you just need more yarn and you would make your chain longer at the beginning but follow the rest the same
A pretty pattern but I have problems with getting increase and decrease I’ve tried counting but guess I’ve done something wrong
Can i use #5 chunky yarn with a 5 hoo
What size hook to use?

Why did you have to cut the video right there im lost 4:29
