I'm a long-time beginner in crocheting. Despite having crocheted for 40 years, I'm self-taught. My mother only showed me how to make a single row. I figured out on my own how to do a second row. I’m completely unfamiliar with the terminology, yet I’ve managed to master a pattern that confuses others 🤦‍♀😄, but it always gets compliments. Recently, I decided to learn the proper techniques. I bought a book, but upon opening it, I closed it thinking it might as well be in another language because I couldn’t understand a thing haha. So, I turned to RUclips! I discovered one beautiful pattern and craved to learn more. I sought something simple yet elegant, something deceptively complex... and here you are! This pattern, along with your excellent guidance, is incredibly straightforward!! I adore it! Thank you so much! And the INVISIBLE KNOT😱😲🤯--absolutely magical! Thank you!

Tia Hill - I felt the same way about large blankets but then I started crocheting them into a pillow case. You aren't fighting the blanket trying to turn it over. You just grab the pillow case and flip it over at the end of the row. It was a real game changer for me. I'm not fighting the blanket every time I get to the end of a row.

Great question! This blanket actually worked up really fast! The yarn is a thick size 6 weight Super Bulky and the stitch is super easy. This large size blanket took me 3-4 days to complete. 🤗🧶❤️

Well, I just finished this blanket in Plymouth Encore Chunky & gave it to a friend. Between the yarn I used & the stitch, it was SO cozy & warm, I didn't want to give it away. I have a little yarn left over & am thinking of making a small blanket of what you uploaded today, Silver Stairs. Merry Christmas! I was wanting to show you my blanket. Are you on Instagram or do you have a place for your followers to show you their makings?

Oh Diana I am so happy you made this blanket as a gift. That is so special and touches my heart that you would pick one of my designs to make for a friend. Honestly, it's the things you make as gifts that you want to keep for yourself that you know will be the most special. Great job!!!! I am excited for you to try out the Silver Stairs blanket too! I think you're going to love it! I DO have an Instagram account! It's under Crochet With Tiffany. If you post something to IG and tag me in it I will be able to see it and share it on my page as well! I can't wait to see the picture of the blanket you made. Thank you so much for watching my videos and crocheting with me Diana! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. 😊🎄🧡🧶

Love your trainings! 1- If I am using a multi color yarn, instead of doing the color blocking of the “Hollywood” look, should I still incorporate a border? 2- Do you have a different stitch you would recommend if using a multi-color skein? I love the ease of the crunch stitch, but would be glad to choose a stitch/pattern that is pronounced even when the multi-color yarn is busy. Thx in advance for your advice.

      Hi Nia,
Feel free to use whatever color you would like! It is always your choice if you would like to add a border to a blanket or not. 😊.
The crunch stitch would be an ok stitch to use with a multi color yarn. If you REALLY want the yarn color to be the star of the show I would probably stick with a crochet stitch that was flat. This stitch could be a basic stitch, any combination of basic stitch or a fan.
But feel free to play and see what you like. This is definitely not a rule, just a suggestion. Hope this helps! 😊❤️🧶

How do you wash that blanket? Gorgeous,

Great question! This would be a machine wash gentle cycle and gold water then lay flat to dry.

Love this super bulky blanket it's beautiful, does the yarn get fuzzy or kind of shed? I made a blanket for my teenage daughter and she loves it, but she doesn't like sheading, it was my first blanket and I used the Yarn Bee brand super bulky. What kind of yarn would you suggest for making a large blanket? Thank you, love your channel, you are so talented:-)

Totally get the fuzz and shed question. I have not had that happen with this blanket yet. The yarn has really held up beautifully. I have not washed it yet though. I will take great care when doing so. All the materials can be found in the video and pattern. Thank you for watching! I hope you make this blanket and have such fun doing it! 😊🧡🧶

Hello Tiffany I was wondering if you could help me to find a yarn that isn’t got any wool in it I am allergic to wool and I would like it to be as cozy as yours if possible.

Hi Nancy! That is a great question! I found a couple different options for you.
      Hobby Lobby -
Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek Super Bulky yarn in colors Ivory & Tobacco
Yarn Bee Uber Luxe Yarn in color Ivory & Honeycomb
      JoAnn -
Lion Brand Hometown Yarn in color Houston Cream & Madison Mustard
I hope that helps and you like one of those options. 😊🧶🧡

Great question! I can't remember exactly but I do know it was pretty quick! The thick yarn combined with an easy stitch accelerated the project. 🤗🧶❤️
