  • This half double crochet variation of the v-stitch is one of my favourite simple blanket stitches because its easy, stylish, and looks awesome when working with stripes.
The Half double crochet v-stitch is used in my Cloudburst baby blanket, which you can find for free on the Leelee Knits website: leeleeknits.com/cloudburst-st...
    Yarn used: shrsl.com/3ombf

❤ Your tutorials are very well explained, I'm a beginner and have been crocheting about a year and I thought it would take me years to learn some of these fancy stitches. Thank you so much for your time and showing this tutorial. Happy crocheting!!

So easy peasy, thanks ❣️. May I suggest at the end of row the last stitch to chain 2 instead of chain 3 so the edge lies flat? It works well.

I’ve been working this blanket and absolutely love this stitch. It is so beautiful and easy to do. Has a gorgeous appearance and texture. I have been chaining 3 on the ends as described in the directions and no problems with the blanket laying flat. I love how straight the edges are coming. I love the colours you used so much .. I am using the exact same colours for a set of 2 of these afghans.

I don't see why you couldn't hdc right from the start instead of starting with that row of singles. I'm going to try that. I don't know whether it'll prevent it from curving but I think I'd prefer the look of it.
