- This half double crochet variation of the v-stitch is one of my favourite simple blanket stitches because its easy, stylish, and looks awesome when working with stripes.
The Half double crochet v-stitch is used in my Cloudburst baby blanket, which you can find for free on the Leelee Knits website: leeleeknits.com/cloudburst-st...

❤ Your tutorials are very well explained, I'm a beginner and have been crocheting about a year and I thought it would take me years to learn some of these fancy stitches. Thank you so much for your time and showing this tutorial. Happy crocheting!!
Made a blanket last year for my partner. Went searching for this pattern again for a pillow! Thanks!!!
I had this pattern saved when i first started my crocher jpurney and began using it a few days ago. Working up really well
I have just finished a blanket for my son and daughter in law with this stitch. Looks gorgeous and my son loves it, daughter in law hasn’t seen it yet,is away working. So easy and smooth to crochet. Thanks for your easy to follow tutorial.
Thank you for showing this stitch. I love the look of this little blanket. 💝🥰
Thank you so much for this video. I chose an afghan that used this pattern, however the instructions were terrible. I search the stitch and found your video. My sample came out perfect. Thanks, again.
I’d been scouring for a simple blanket pattern all over YT & found yours! Love it! Can’t wait till it’s done❤
Thank you for showing us, giving verbal instructions and cc information
I don't get lost this way 😊.
Beautifully done, love your video tutorials you explain everything so well, very easy to follow. Thank you x
So easy peasy, thanks ❣️. May I suggest at the end of row the last stitch to chain 2 instead of chain 3 so the edge lies flat? It works well.
Yes, you totally can!! I like my edges looser but with HDCs you can also chain 2 ❤️
If you end with 2 instead of 3, would you still begin with a multiple of 2 + 1?
@@mildredalayon7095 The multiples would not change
I’ve been working this blanket and absolutely love this stitch. It is so beautiful and easy to do. Has a gorgeous appearance and texture. I have been chaining 3 on the ends as described in the directions and no problems with the blanket laying flat. I love how straight the edges are coming. I love the colours you used so much .. I am using the exact same colours for a set of 2 of these afghans.
I used the alternate stitch at the beginning of all my row, so you never have a gap, love it.
Love this stitch for baby blankets. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the great tutorial. Just started my blanket using this awesome stitch . 🌷💝

Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Such a beautiful blanket! Do you use boye crochet hooks?
Would the starting chain multiple be the same if I wanted to do a sc in the blo every other row? Ex ( Row 1 sc row 2 hdc v-stitch, row 3 sc in blo )and continue the pattern using a 2 row repeat? I like a ribbed look when I make my blankets
The video is great and easy to follow. The link to your yarn is not active. What yarn did you use? Thanks
Thank you! Really love your tutorial videos. By any chance Do you have the measurements for bigger blanket to make with this. Thank you in advance
The link with all the information is in the information box.
Can I use 2 dbc ch 1- 2dbc all in same chain that makes it look like hearts
I like the stitch and ready to make a blanket. How would it look Making it with a variegated yarn? That's all I have.
Any opinions???
It will look beautiful 😊. Make a swatch to see if you like it.😊
The link takes you to the yarn you used but what are the shades?
I will like to make have double crochet blanket. With a ber at yarn. 😍🙏🌹
Love the gray and blue can you please tell me what the brand it is.
Will this work with a blanket yarn? Bernat Blanket?
I am fairly new to crocheting and am afraid I do not understand the term ‘multiple 2 + 1’. Please explain for me. Am so anxious to begin this beautiful blanket! Thanks.
How do you finish the blanket? Is there no edging around the blanket? Thank you for sharing your pattern ❤️
326 mat
😊
What color blue did you use here?
On the first row, were you putting your stitches in the back bump of the chain?
How many chains do you do for a couch throw?😃
😊
How much yarn do we need
Make sure to keep the starting chain loose, i found it curved at the bottom otherwise.
Great tip! Yes, it is always a good idea to have a loose foundation chain
How do you keep it from staying straight across bottom i have tried
Loving this stitch and want to use it for a baby blanket, but I find that the first row of single crochet is curving. What can I do to remedy that?
Is normal, Will straight out as you keep crocheting.
I don't see why you couldn't hdc right from the start instead of starting with that row of singles. I'm going to try that. I don't know whether it'll prevent it from curving but I think I'd prefer the look of it.
How many chains do have to make for a baby blanket
When I try to do this, mine keeps curving on the starting chain as I do the v stitches. I don't understand what I could be doing wrong? Or will it be okay if it does that?
Try using a crochet hook one size larger for your foundation chain - it might help.
🙂🙂
Just wondering how many rows you did of each color?
Omg I can’t see it is there anyway you can bring your camera closer I want to learn this
How would you make the blanket bigger for a baby
Down a hooksize or 2?
I always have troble with the corner. And my chai twiste and I get mess up. 😔
I always have trouble with the corners .and my chain twiste and I get mess up help please🥰
Could you do the project all in one color?
Can’t find the ins for the baby blanket. Please help. Thank you.
How much yarn did you use to make this afghan?
How mamy chains did u useto get to 27 wide
How do I get the free pattern?
At beginning of row - usually, for a HDC or DC you would chain 2 not 3 - this will help afghan to lay flat
Hello🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hello, it looks like it's starting to curve
Looking for pattern fir The Half Double V stitch pattern?
Are you’skipping one or two stitches .
Sorry, I cannot watch you on high speed. sure wanted to try though. Giving you a thumbs up anyway.
I will NEVER LEARN how to crochet!! Im 57 years old and it stills looks like the hardest thing ive ever seen!! I can do Enormous Counted Cross Stitch projects but THIS? No.
Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours.
I would begin with an easier crochet project. I recommended Bella Coco or The Secret Yarnery. Both crochet channels will take you step by step. That’s how I learned to crochet. Good luck! You can do it!!
Yes, start with something more simple. I taught myself to crochet later in life. You get better with practice!
Start with Blossom Crochet, or Bella Coco
