Love the foundation stitch, use it a lot on making Blankets and scarfs. Thank you for a great video on doing the Alpine stitch.

I have another question 😅 after you foundation chain of 125, does every row after have 124 stitches? Cause I have done 4 rows and so far I can't work out why I don't have 125 stitch anymore!

I want to make a baby blanket but mine is stiff and rolls up. I use acrylic yarn.
What am I doing wrong? 🤔😳

How many skeins of yarn do you estimate for the entire blanket shown?

This is the largest size, you can get all the info for each size on the blog post. This one took 8 sk of the MC and 4 sk of the CC. lifeandyarn.com/easy-chunky-crochet-blanket-pattern/

Thanks for posting this, it's super helpful i have a quick question. The pattern on your site starts with "Foundation Double Crochet - Fdc - Chain 4, yarn over, insert hook into 4th chain from the hook" at 1:06 you mention you can chain 2 or 3, does it not matter if it's 2, 3 or 4? Thanks :)

That can depend a lot on your tension, I’ve been working with cables, so when I record led this my hands were crocheting more tightly than usual so I added an extra chain. You can try both ways and see which give you a cleaner start.
