I’m shocked, absolutely gobsmacked that none of the psychologists I watch have discussed how abusive Kody is toward Christine. Telling her she’s not attractive, hard to love, that he has to force himself to be with her and that she has to lie in order to loved is incredibly abusive. EVEN if he believes it, there’s no reason to say other than to be hurtful. It doesn’t help the situation at all other than to bandage Kody’s ego and humiliate Christine.

Well said. I say this to my kids all the time. You don't have to wait for the "big reason" (i.e. -cheating, abuse, blow out argueent, etc) to leave. As you said, two people can be amazing people, just not any good with each other. It's a sign of emotional maturity and a healthy dose of self-esteem to accept that you can be a good person, and not be everyone's cup of tea.
Kody and my ex both love to assume there's this need to find someone else. Most women leaving a long term relationship want to be alone and find themselves again but that's not allowed to that person because if that were true then being alone would be better than being with them. I can't agree that Meri's age gap with him was concerning. 19 and 22 are only 3 years apart, both legally adults, and both in the age category of young adults. Christine's gap, I definitely look at sideways. Mid-20s is when the reasoning part of your brain is fully formed and 19 is definitely not there yet. So not only is it concerning, it feels very intentional on his part.

When I was with him I was depressed, overweight and he cheated constantly. He has now went downhill and very upset that I’m flourishing. When he met me I had my own home, came from an educated family that he bragged to his friends and family about telling everyone his wife and wife’s family was educated. He used me, bullied me, caused me to gain weight from depression and robbed me of my self-esteem. Leaving allowed me to take my power back and flourish again 😊

Kody has revealed he knows nothing about relationships. I have ended relationships with good men. They just weren't the right men for me. I have also been left by good men who decided I wasn't the woman for them. That's fine. It happens and doesn't reflect poorly on anyone. What does reflect poorly are people who feel the need to tear down their ex and not take any responsibility in their part in the dissolution of the relationship.
Well said. I say this to my kids all the time. You don't have to wait for the "big reason" (i.e. -cheating, abuse, blow out argueent, etc) to leave. As you said, two people can be amazing people, just not any good with each other. It's a sign of emotional maturity and a healthy dose of self-esteem to accept that you can be a good person, and not be everyone's cup of tea.

Kody and my ex both love to assume there's this need to find someone else. Most women leaving a long term relationship want to be alone and find themselves again but that's not allowed to that person because if that were true then being alone would be better than being with them. So it always has to be about the next guy to them.

As soon as she locked him out men started calling. I told my mom he most have passed her number around. She got an unlisted phone number and a restraining order and she never had any problems. I can't agree that Meri's age gap with him was concerning. 19 and 22 are only 3 years apart, both legally adults, and both in the age category of young adults. Christine's gap, I definitely look at sideways. Mid-20s is when the reasoning part of your brain is fully formed and 19 is definitely not there yet. So not only is it concerning, it feels very intentional on his part.

I was married to a Kody for 10 years. For years he told me “you’ll never find anyone if you leave me”. The best thing I did was leaving him. My career grew, self-esteem grew and I’m much happier. When I was with him I was depressed, overweight and he cheated constantly. He has now went downhill and very upset that I’m flourishing. When he met me I had my own home, came from an educated family that he bragged to his friends and family about telling everyone his wife and wife’s family was educated. He used me, bullied me, caused me to gain weight from depression and robbed me of my self-esteem. Leaving allowed me to take my power back and flourish again 😊
