As Yemeni women, we appreciate your concern, but we don’t need it. You don’t see us, and that’s intentional. We are religious and prefer not to share spaces with men. We have our own facilities and places where we gather, separate from men.
In Yemen, women can drive and pursue education, including higher education for those who can afford it. We’ve had female ministers and businesswomen since the 1960s, but that’s not everyone’s aspiration. Those who wish to work can do so legally, while those who prefer their men to work for them can also enforce this legally. Most of us prefer the latter choice.
We are not Western women and don’t appreciate it when you try to impose your ideologies on us or portray us as victims for rejecting them.

@@harryjaggardtravelWelcome my friend, I am one of your followers and a subscriber to your channel. I am from the north of Yemen, from the Yemeni capital, Sana'a. I want to tell you that if you do not visit the north, such as the capital Sana'a, Ibb Governorate, and many others, then you are losing out on your visit to Yemen, because the north of Yemen is called by Arabs the Switzerland of the Middle East because of its beauty and air. /And its temperature is very low. As for safety, I assure you that it is safe, and very safe, only in the media, but in reality you will be shocked, and the price is much lower than the south.❤❤

It seems you were overly criticizing the way females live there.. You heard it with your own ears, they were happy. Why complain about something that they aren't complaining about? They have different morals and different standards, you should go there with an open mind and let them speak for themselves.. If you listen to your own commentary you were overly imposing your western ideas.. I understand you have different expectation and the "western statistics" that you have, but let women speak for themselves. And they did and they weren't complaining. Not saying everything is perfect there but its not an honest journal work if you come with a preconceived bias and try to confirm it there. They said what they had to say, you could've tried to interview more and let them speak for themselves instead of you constantly saying "They're locked in their homes" and all that... It felt like you were attempting to force culture change as if you had moral superiority..

In Yemen, women are treated like princesses, and are fully respected and appreciated, and enjoy their legitimate rights. Women are not a commodity or a tool to be used, but rather have a high status and value.
Men serve them outside, while women take care of the household affairs inside, with the right to go out and enter freely and attend women's sessions with each other, in a way that preserves their chastity and high status.
A true Yemeni woman does not talk to strangers in the street. As for those who do, they do not represent Yemeni women, but rather belong to another category known as the claimants, and they are not an example of the true Yemeni woman.

No matter what life throws at them they have no complaints... because we feel this is not the last journey. Real life will begin in the hereafter. And I went to a Jewish wedding where men and women had separate ceremonies. It is not only Muslims who do this. Again in many moderate Muslim countries you will see men and women dancing together. To be a true Muslim is to fight with ownself. But it has rewards in hereafter.
