So contrasting! One Taliban refused you to shake hand and one Taliban honoured you by energy drink and invited you to his house... A true Muslim is always helpful and compassionate, that's what we've been taught.

simply because it was due to the groups of rebels....but not to the whole peoples with in that country....so merciful situations of many innocents....but that was a history already...maybe not anymore today...even we talk about percentage of dangers to that country now...perhaps i rate as 20% infavor to dangers...and the rest was safe which was 80% today of afghanistan's land....and hope that it was none remains dangers....ang i bet, their country known as worlds most danger country because...80% of peoples living that country are uneducated....and the reasons why...because their government did not allow peoples or their childrens to go to school...meaning to say, most of their peoples are hard to get in touch by communicating....or in a simple way of talking rather....again that was because of their ancients peoples thinking that once they are ruled by outsiders or strangers...they get slave...as what their forefathers thoughts that brainwash them today and on their past decades of living....so sad to think...that their leader before ruled the civillians of afghan to ignore foreigns helps....

In madarsah u just don't read Quran, but alongwith it u r taught tafseer (quran's deep translation, the reason for the revelation of verse, the interpretation of verse by different scholars, the wisdom and science behind each verse)
They also study thousands of hadith (sayings of our beloved Prophet Muhammed pbuh) with detail explanation and the chain of narrations and details of those who narrated these hadith whether they are reliable or not if any of the narrator's history is found unreliable the hadith is considered weak)
Moreover fiqh (islamic law), distribution of property among family,
arabic language and many other subjects are taught
Alot of madarsah do teach science and maths.
Many muslim scholars of the past are pioneers in different fields of physics, maths, astronomy etc. And they had studied in madarsah!

True enough, but most english speakers speak it as a 2nd language so most english speakers are technically dual lingual. But yeah, that statement jumped out a bit. But as far as "3rd world" goes the amount of english speaking does track to how advanced technologically they are. I guess.

When the child is saying he wants to be a Mujaahid, he’s saying that he wants to be a lifelong student of knowledge that maintains his physical condition to defend his people from future invasions and serves his country. If a British child said that they wanted to join the service, no one would bat an eye. Except that kid would likely be signing up to invade some poor country and kill people in the future on their own land.
Madrasa students don’t “read the Quran all day.” The kid owns a Quran. Not every book written in Arabic is the Quran. They learn Islamic history, Arabic literature and poetry, Quranic exegesis, Hadith sciences (the science of authentication of chain-transmitted traditions and reports as well as memorizing the reports and their chains), the science of inheritance (Islamic scholars literally invented algebra for this). They receive a world-class education, just in fields of study you neither value nor have competence in. When such students do make the decision to go and study secular sciences afterwards, they almost always outperform students that started out in “normal” school because the rigor of their studies is higher.

    Dear Harry,
Firstly, congratulations on reaching the milestone of 1 million! I wanted to address a point you made about Afghanistan being the most hospitable country. While I appreciate the sentiment, it's important to clarify that the hospitality you experienced is deeply rooted in the culture of the Pashtuns or Pathans, not rather in specific the country of Afghanistan.
Having spent considerable time in the KPK province of Pakistan, where 99% of the population is Pashtun, I can attest to the extraordinary hospitality prevalent in the community. As a fellow Pathan, I've grown up understanding that hospitality is ingrained in our upbringing. We are taught from a young age to welcome guests warmly, ensuring that anyone who comes to ask for something, leave with something in hand. Public dealings and graciousness are integral parts of our culture.
The warmth you felt from the people is a normal expression of hospitality for us Pathans. It's not seen as a mere show of generosity but rather a duty. I encourage you to witness it firsthand, as experiences speak louder than words. Make a visit to KPK, Pakistan and you'll know.
Secondly, I'd like to address the perception of child labor in Afghanistan. Contrary to what you mentioned, the involvement of children in various tasks is not necessarily child labor but a form of imparting practical skills and a sense of responsibility. While it's true that some instances might appear as child labor, many Pashtun families engage their children in family businesses, providing valuable training and contributing to the household economy. However, it's essential to acknowledge the importance of modern education to equip our youth for the challenges of this temporary life.
In conclusion, your observations are insightful, and it's crucial to understand the nuances that distinguish the cultural practices of the Pashtuns from broader generalizations about Afghanistan. Thank you for sharing your experiences, and I hope this clarification provides a more accurate perspective.
    Best regards,
    Ahmad Khan
