- Inside Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan 🇦🇫 Since I started to travel and explore Asia, Afghanistan has always been my dream country. The movies I have watched and the books I have read about Afghanistan have built dreamy expectations in my head of the country that I would not be able to experience anywhere else.
My visit did not disappoint - Afghanistan was time travel from bustling & unorganized bazaars, street shaves, same clothing in different colors, no brands, magnificent landscapes, and the bravest people with the biggest hearts of hospitality.
In my trip, we covered Mazar-i-Sharif, Kabul & Bamyan.
Visiting Afghanistan is a sensitive topic for many people. As in any country I go to, the main objective is to share the day-to-day life and spotlight the ordinary people that the mass media fail to capture. No matter how you feel about my trip, here is my summary.
Despite facing significant challenges, Afghanistan has many positive aspects that deserve recognition: diverse landscapes, rich history, warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, resilient people, and more!
Safety:
This was the biggest concern of many people I have talked to, and naturally, that has been the main worry when you enter a war-torn country over the last 40 years. With the takeover of the Taliban, the country is much safer than before; at least no conflicts are going on.
My Persian surname, which is the same as the current supreme leader of the Taliban, my cultural background, being a man with a +3 years long beard, and looking like one of the locals do not qualify me to talk about safety much when it comes to being a tourist. I had a significant advantage, considering the above.
Disclaimer: This is not a travel advisory. Afghanistan has a government that has not been recognized by any country, with no embassies and international relations. I am a professional traveler who explored the country with an organized guide.

Flying over Afghanistan in CH-46 helicopters through my 4 deployments every day I prayed for peace and that I could explore one of the most beautiful countries i've even witnessed without my body armor. I realized that dream last year but I still can't get enough of videos here and of the people. Their hospitality beats North America and Western Europe any day.

When I think of Afghanistan I imagine dry, flat, brown, dusty, with few hills and such, riddled with war and in-fighting.

Excellent video! The sunglasses are upside down because the ear curves of the temple arms hold them onto the display more firmly. This is important in outdoors areas where it can be more windy. I hope that explains why. I've seen this only in tropical windy areas as well.

Before entering, there must be an office to pay tourists at a higher price and for Afghans at a lower price, in order to create job opportunities, inspect the place, and increase its beauty. planting fruites trees adding fishes....

Wow these Taliban members first asked for permission in pashto to take picture or not with you and secondly they said we cant help you with price because its a private company. They did say that he is charging you a forgiener price but still didnt interfere to use his power to bring down the price for you. This shows how much obedient they are to the rules and their commanders if it was previous government members they would use their force to get that man the price down because previous government forces were educated vulgars. The uneducated taliban are much better then them.
Exactly, when he said he cannot get involved with the private corporation and their pricing - proud moment to see people not abuse their power!
One of the first step to develop a country is fighting corruption. This is a perfect example that the current government is doing this successfully. I hope they can make Afghanistan a beautiful, safe and developed country like it was before the war.
