  • Although I approached this journey with considerable hesitancy and carried a weight of worries and risks upon arriving in Afghanistan, it quickly became evident that the country's people made my experience significantly smoother from day one.
Having traveled extensively throughout South Asian countries, I was no stranger to the renowned hospitality in the region. However, my arrival in Afghanistan was particularly remarkable given the nation's prolonged history of conflict and the near absence of tourism.
Much like my experiences in Iran, I found that I blended in seamlessly with the local population in Afghanistan, both in terms of appearance and attire, initially avoiding the "foreigner" treatment. This remained the case until I took up my camera and spoke English. Those who have watched my RUclips videos from Afghanistan are already familiar with the warmth and generosity of the people, who often insisted on covering the cost of meals and extended invitations to their homes for lunch or dinner.
No matter where you travel in the World, you understand that there are always beautiful souls adorned with the most heartwarming smiles and an innate sense of hospitality, even if they have endured the harshest circumstances for years. It dawns on you that a simple snack can bring a smile to any child's face. You recognize that all humans, regardless of their background, share common aspirations: food, family, security, happiness, and a connection to something greater, whether a divine presence or a higher purpose.
I extend my heartfelt love and appreciation to every individual I encountered during my time in Afghanistan, including the shop owners, drivers, my guide, and the countless ordinary people who crossed my path throughout my journey. ❤️
Please note: This is not intended as a travel advisory. Afghanistan currently has a government that remains unrecognized by any nation, resulting in the absence of embassies and international diplomatic relations. I am an experienced traveler who explored the country in the company of a reputable guide.

You should have requested some Doogh. The villagers here usually prepare Doogh in the traditional way, and it's incredibly delicious-far superior to what you might have tried in the city. If you ever return to Afghanistan in the future, be sure to ask the villagers for their Doogh and Bolani; it will leave an unforgettable impression on your taste buds.

My grandmother was born in Herat, and her heritage is connected with some of the former Afghan royals. The latter I understand were forced out at some point in the 19th century. It is a shame what happened as a result of the US invasion, the Saudi-Pakistani support of the mujahideen and then the Taliban. However, apart from the rulers and the extremist mullah's, the ordinary people seem wonderful and down to earth and warm.

@@afghanwarrior I have nothing to prove to random people on the internet. I can assure you that deobandi ideology is not native to Afghanistan either. İt's an indo-pakistan importation. Please define "native", given years of ethnic diversity in that country and invasion and wars.
