Thank you so much for your kind wishes! It means a lot to me. I’m grateful to share these experiences with you and bring these incredible places to life. Wishing you peace and safety as well! 🌍✨
BRO THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! You're one of the ONLY travel RUclipsrs who dared to bring attention to this. Glad to see somebody still has morals. This has been going on for years now bro. Recently, 100s of people from my country (Morocco) were trafficked and forced to scam in those compounds on the border of Thailand and Myanmar. Here's how it happened! They lured them with high-paying jobs in different fields (e-com, crypto, marketing, teaching, etc) and said that the company's headquarters are in Bangkok. They paid for their trips and everything. Once they got to Bangkok, they were escorted from a VIP business class part of the airport, by a person working with actual Thai police (they are sadly involved too bro), and then they told them to wait for the company's driver. The company driver arrives and takes them to Mae Sot. When the person being trafficked notices that they trip is "too long" to be just in Bangkok, they tell them "oh there's another branch of the company in another city, this is where you will work". Anyway they get to Mae Sot and they put them in a hotel and tell them to wait, the driver meets them again and says he'll take them to the company, instead the driver take them to the river on the border of Myanmar and dozens of armed men stop the car and force the person to get on a boat to cross the river. After they get them inside the compound in Myanmar, they take all of their papers, passport, everything and tell them you have 3 choices! Either 1- participate in the online scams. 2- Lure in other people from your country. 3- pay us what we paid for you and we'll let you out (the amount is usually 10,000 USD). If the person doesn't have money and doesn't want to work for them, they get sent to something called "The black room" where they get tortured in some of the WORST ways you can imagine. All of this was told by a Moroccan national who got trafficked just this year and managed to get out because he paid 10,000 USD. It pisses me off that NO government is doing ANYTHING about this. They literally know where the compounds are and have SO MUCH evidence but don't do anything. There are 100s of thousands of different nationalities still stuck there til this day as we speak. If you want to make a video with somebody who knows more about this, I suggest Judah Tana, he's the director of Global Advance Projects and he helps a lot of trafficked people get out.
Wow Harry, you’ve done it again. Well done on this, very informative and interesting. Love that we can get a first hand look into a place none of us will probably ever travel too. Fantastic work brotha 👏🏻
Harry Jaggard - You’re a Man for all season, strike anywhere your vlog has substance impressive ,you can be funny man ,you know how to handle rudeness and cruelties exhibited by others I like you man.
Harry brother, you are breaking all limits of Risk-Taking and bringing to us such rare videos by risking your life...great job bro...An inspiration!!😊❤
Thank you! It definitely takes a bit of courage, but the experiences and connections make it all worth it. And yep, just me, my camera, and a whole lot of curiosity!
Thank you for doing this bro! There is the same happening in the border of Myanmar and Thailand in a town named Shwe Kokko and others. There are these scam centers (KK Park) where hundereds of thousands of people are trafficked inside and forced to do scams. Same in Cambodia
Thank you for sharing this, bro! It’s heartbreaking to hear about these scam centers and the trafficking happening in places like Shwe Kokko and Cambodia. Awareness is so important-hopefully, more people speaking up can bring attention to these issues and push for change. 🙏
Thank you! Exploring local food and markets is one of my favorite parts of traveling-it’s such a great way to learn about a culture. Glad you’re enjoying it too!
If you're interested in doing similar vlogs you can try several places in Cambodia like Poipet or Sihanoukville. Poipet is a border city where you arrive for the first time in Cambodia from Bangkok to Siem Reap or Phnom Penh. Poipet is the place where offshore gambling offices that operate for several countries are located like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, India where online gambling is illegal so they operate from Cambodia. I lived there for 2 years and i know that some illegal scam offices exist there too. One thing to note : Poipet is not as tidy as Sihanoukville or this place in the video.
This place reminds me of Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The Chinese took over the city, building new infrastructures, roads, buildings, and casinos. A lot of shady businesses run by the Chinese's mafias. The local people are mostly gone. Due to the poor economy in the last few years, the city is almost like a ghost town. Buildings are left unfinished and only a few Chinese businessmen are still remaining.
Harry is brave but you have to consider the very last thing the local authorities want is any trouble with a first world western country by messing with their citizens. Anyone robbing or hustling Harry would likely be disappeared. The Tajik and Indian guys were likely associated with the authorities trying to figure out wtf harry was doing there.
I have been in Thailand, Laos and Myanmar on a group tour. I enjoyed it especially the elephant rehabilitation center in Thailand and to see the most beautiful sunset in the world, Myanmar.
Try going to a place called London - I went there for a Trade Show - in the 5 days I was there I did not see or meet and Englishman from the airport through trains, taxis, coffee shops, restaurants etc - NO English folks at all - very strange place.
Do a video on modern slavery in middel east. An estimated 50 million individuals are enslaved worldwide, either through forced labour or forced marriage. People from Africa, Nepal, Bangladesh, India , Myanmar and Philipines continue to be trafficked to Middle Eastern countries
The north in December/Jan, can be chilly in the mountains. I lived about 200 metres up the mountain from Chiang Mai… on that 200 metre bike ride, would go from tshirt weather to jumper weather. The elevation makes the difference, it’s crazy.
The Lao government is unable to provide financial support to China; instead, they permit Chinese individuals to engage in various activities without restrictions and offer substantial land grants. Consequently, this region has transformed into a notorious hub for illicit activities, including organized crime, gambling, drug trafficking, human exploitation, and cybercrime. Notably, individuals employed in scam jobs receive a minimum monthly salary of 30,000 THB, while the entire region generates an estimated monthly revenue of $30 million through these fraudulent schemes.
There are specific regulations ruling the SEZ, though not very tightly. So that's why and you could see recently police authorities of both countries wiped out some criminals from the zone. However, if you check areas nearby and bordering, there are uncontrollable groups by its Gov of another country with free drugs smuggling in and out (based on news), so no surprise what you heard could happen and poor the zone investor that local authorities can't even clean up though with cooperation of neighboring forces.
Business like Holafly are good when your in a country for a day or two or constantly on the go but if ur in the country for 5+ days its better buying a sim or buying a package with ur original sim and is cheaper do. Holafly and compaies like that charge u daily which isnt the best when wanting to stay in a country for a while.
Are there any police there? If so, which/who are they working for? BTW, it’s pronounced ‘olafly’, because ‘hola’ is Spanish for hello and they don’t say the h.
You had no service in that casino likely because Holafly uses Chinese networks. When I was abroad in Latin America, my IP address when using Holafly was Hong Kong based. I bet it’s the same there and in other Asian adjacent countries because they’re have no issues buying Chinese tech unlike America.
I've just been there two weeks ago. Probably the weirdest place I've ever been to, right after North Korea. All the allegations are most likely true. My taxi driver told me (via translator app) that besides gambling, also prostitution is legal there and a lot of bad things are happening... I was more than happy to get back to "real" Laos after a few hours exploring...
I use this ESIM - Get 5% off Holafly with the code 'HARRYJAGGARD': (holafly.sjv.io/195WVD)
Hello my friends welcome to visit Pontianak city from Indonesian

This is true
Dropping some heat, Harry. Very interesting content & well explained. This longer mini documentary style is very conducive to your viewers.
Much appreciated!
so you are an independent journalist now. Good to see you haven't sold yourself to the views unlike others on RUclips (not to name any but yk).
Haha, I guess you could call me a freelance adventurer with a camera! 😄 Glad to know I’m still keeping it real-no sellout tendencies here (yet)! haha
It's so nice to see a travel vlogger with actual morals and beliefs
Thank you so much-that really means a lot to me! I try my best to approach travel with respect and purpose. I’m glad it resonates with you.

You actually don’t have to go that far to see human trafficking- just look a little deeper in your own communities
Good work harry 👍

Very informative video Harry! ❤

Causing suffering to someone else for your own benefit or pleasure is the worst thing you can do to someone else. The sad thing is it is so common😔
I love what you're doing like food reviews and markets and stuff like that I love to learn about the food in markets of what everybody else has
Thank you! Exploring local food and markets is one of my favorite parts of traveling-it’s such a great way to learn about a culture. Glad you’re enjoying it too!

Thanks a lot Harry!
You are welcome!
what a legend that bloke was 15:45 and its pretty well known that some of those buildings have signal jammers 18:18...for obvious reasons
he was a legend
@@harryjaggardtravel THIS IS DEMOCRACY MANIFEST GENTLEMEN
No bit this takes so much courage to do when you are not a journalist or cop, kudos to you for even exploring this aspect of a place, stay safe 🧿

I never knew about this area. However, it feels creepier than any other unsafe places you've been so far...
Keep safe!

Interesting!
Where abouts?
such a sketchy place
I can definitely see Kurt Caz doing a travel video on the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone.
💀😭
Interesting video brother ❤️
Plz visit Mongolia and hongkong also!
I was just in Laos for two weeks. It was creepy, but a wild fun ride.
Who think Pakistan is trash like here ->
Trinidad and Tobago has a very high number of human trafficking with women and young girls and the usual cocaine trafficking for the rich people
Harry last week 5 tourists died of methanol poisoning so don’t consume liquor in Laos
That Holafly link you provide gets blocked by my adblocker so that says everything about that company.
Lol you peed on a rice farm. Youre an absolute legend for that!

Thailand has interesting neighbors. Internal conflict in its west. Recently liberated from Khmer rouge in its southeast. And also, Laos in its east.

Mike Okay did a video on this as well, super interesting (and sad).
Since Bald hardly uploads any contents now a days, Mikey and Harry are flying the British flag high as RUclips's best adventure travel vloggers.
