In small cities in China, it's pretty common to find apartment that look outdated, dusty and messing in the hallway/stairs/outside, but actual homes inside are nothing but modern decorated spaces. That guy backpacking across China at such a young age after his mother died is quite a dude! That's one tough guy right there.

The generosity, the kindness, the friendliness & their hospitality of the Chinese people makes them wonderful.
Thanks Drew for showing us the other side of China. Really an amazing story! 😎❤
I have always been fascinated by this narrow city and I am happy you made such a cute movie about all the kind people in it!❤️
Wow, what an absolutely beautiful place. The people are beautiful too! What a dope place. Thanks for the peek into this Drew! Also, the tea was so good because yunnan is like the birthplace of tea as a whole. What a treat you got to enjoy some freshly brewed yunnan tea!
My wife and I love Yan's videos. Her recent ones covering far west China was a real eye opener. Fantastic cinematography. The first time I saw this city was on a Facebook post and I just assumed it was some AI fake.
welcome back
Your videos are heart warming. You showing the good in people is a beautiful thing truly. Thank you.
Your videos always make me feel better when I'm down, so relaxing to watch . Thank you
Wow his home was way different than I expected. That's like a proper modern looking home. Kinda caught me by surprise!
I know right?!
Why was it surprising? These are visibly modern buildings from the exterior too. It’s not like ppl there live in mud huts
His home looks like what any average Chinese home in a city would look like
Were you surprised they even have electricity in China! LOL
In small cities in China, it's pretty common to find apartment that look outdated, dusty and messing in the hallway/stairs/outside, but actual homes inside are nothing but modern decorated spaces. I also find it odd, but average folks there are just more tolerate to old/broken/unmanaged public spaces within the building they live in
Awesome! This is truly a special little city and it's people are beautiful and so nice. Thank you for scaring the you know what out of me on your cliff walk too. Excellent. Peace.
Omfg my 2 favorite RUclips travel peeps! I’ve never thought I’d wanna go to China but her videos makes me wanna make the trip

Absolutely incredible video. This video has given me a whole new drive, relief, the much needed motivation towards my dreams. It’s incredible to see how much more life we experience by just connecting with nature and people. Great content and very wholesome indeed. The energy in this video is so contagious!❤❤
We have been fooled by western media, who painted China as an evil country, now these bloggers show us the real China, and it surprises most people.
All the same, my stereotype of Brazil comes from the movie "Cidade de Deus"
You need to see the big picture bro@@fantasycelestial2908
My impression of Brazil is football kingdom. When will China's football be strong? I feel sad about the future of China's football
Es una ciudad asombrosa!! Pero lo mas increible y agradable, son las personas que viven en ella. Saludos desde la Riviera Maya 🇲🇽😊
Thank you for taking us along, warms my heart
It’s honestly so nice to see how alive everyone is. And the locals so cool that guy did so much for u just to show ya his cool town
Thank you Drew. This Vedio makes me so touched and appreciative of life which is supposedly be so simple but beautiful.
This is such an amazing place! Forgot the beautiful landscape the people are absolutely incredible! Love from Cape Town ❤
I love the way you always appreciate food and culture of others ❤❤
Welcome to my homeland China! I watched almost all the videos you produced, and I also enjoy the China series very much! Also welcome to visit my hometown-Shanxi Province, which is the area with the longest history in China, and there are so many historical and amazing buildings, cultures, foods, and heritages. It will definitely make you feel that the trip was worth it!
Must say, I guess this video is one best RUclips videos I have watched! Thank you so much for it
That hike was the best! Thr views, the thrill, and the people you met along the way! Amanda and her dog, the bird....so cool!
@littlechineseeverywhere is my favorite! Thanks for including her.
Dude what an amazing experience that must of been, so unique & beautiful 👌🏽🏡
Ive been watching all these vlogs from different youtubers travelling in China, man the locals are all so kind and easy going. its so nice.
Chinese government protects the people from Western media. It will corrupt their minds to know the insanity that occurs in hateful & divided west.
This is probably my favourite vid I’ve seen of Drew. I saw this place on tiktok a few years ago and always wanted to check it out. The place really looks special. These are the kind of surprising places I really loved about China. There are some beautiful and fascinating places you could just live there and be happy.
wow the people are so friendly and happy
Thank you, DB, for bringing this video to us. Through your eyes, a lot of us have now seen places we never would have seen, known, or hear about.
Thank you ❤
This is an amazing video I'm really enjoying it I grew up in South America Bolivia and everything you're doing reminds me of a lot of places in Bolivia other than this being Chinese so so beautiful unbelievably beautiful

This is my new favorite channel. Thank you for spreading the message. We are more the same than different all over the world. Peace. Love. Travel.
The fact that we get free videos on RUclips by Drew is truly a gift; keeping knowledge and entertainment alive. 👍👍👍
It’s beautiful. Someday I will visit China. The kindness of the people is amazing.
warmly welcome😆Since this year, China has opened a visa-free policy for many countries, even if you are not visa-free countries, you can enjoy 144-hour transit visa-free, so it is a good time to come to China. You can ask me for some travel tips if you need them🤝

Entering the world's narrowest city is an adventure like no other! The unique architecture, the close-knit community, and the distinct charm of such a compact space are truly captivating. Thank you for sharing this fascinating journey with us! 🌆❤
Despite many criticism towards China, Chinese Police are the most helpful and friendly one i have ever seen.😅

The criticism from most is not against the Chinese people, who in my experience are some of the warmest, most wonderful people but the Chinese government. Sorry if that doesn't translate well
@@itdadof3 that is a common misdirection from western govts and propaganda, "it's not the people, it is the govt", shows how little you know about China. More than 70% of Chinese people in China are in fact CPC members, China as you know is a ONE party state, its called People's Republic of China, the govt IS the people!!!!.
Your rhetoric about "it's not the people, it is the govt" is more apt for the Chinese people, many do not hate western citizens, but rather your idiotic govts and their ge no sidal policies such as those in Gaza. Please do some more research buddy.

I love your excitement for exploration Drew! Enjoying it for 6 years now.
i'm genuinely curious about the world!
Ahhh my first introduction to Yanjing was through Yan! I love her channel, she's my favorite. (Sorry Drew haha!) So excited to watch this episode and so happy to see this collab :)
Your visit to Yanjin is truly amazing and fun to watch and learn how peaceful and loving people are there, but I’ll tell you one thing, I would NEVER have gone on that hike up that narrow high mountain, you are VERY BRAVE and so are all the others doing it. Especially your translater as well, omg. BRAVO! Also incredibly low rent but must be according to cost of living all around when a large bowl of healty food is $1 - they’re surely doing something right that we don’t in the Western world.
This is one of your best videos. Beautiful place!
Indeed. I hope I can travel to China and do what Drew did which is making travel vlog too 🙏
Through my 15 years of life, I've been to China in different places. Its so fun and your experiences reminds me of my lifetime 😢😢😢
Thank you Drew, that was a fascinating and inspiring video. It was so lucky you met O, he is a really interesting person. You interpreter is just right to help you meet the local people. They all seem so happy and friendly!
Wow I was glued to this video. One of my favs that you have done so far!

It is so beautiful in the country and I’m sure the food is so amazing & fresh. Completely different than what they show us about China the people are so polite & friendly. Thank you so much for showing us your experience.
