Hey guys, Thomas here :) thanks for watching, engaging, commenting, liking. It's a small gesture for you, but goes a long way for us. We don't ever take it from granted and appreciate the support of every single of you. Now it even means something as we're donating a cent to Save the Children for every comment and subscription :) love you all hope you liked the story
The little boy asking matt to keep playing with him was so adorable and wholesome, the interaction with those kids was the best part of the video in my opinion
such a wholesome moment honestly, we were kind of done with the day and considering heading back to the hotel for a bit and coming back a bit later.. But couldn't get away from those kids with endless energy! -thomas
America's perception of China makes it seem so scary and like the people there are all sad. Thank you for continuously showing what normal life looks like in other countries. Your channel shows how beautiful the world really is.
This city is a big time outlier in terms of statistics. Life in a denser city is very different. This city is built like Paris but with a fraction of the population. It's like the burbs and there's correlations showing decrease in population density leads to rise in health and wellness. I do agree overall, people all want the same basic things and love to share food and culture.
the shared human moments in this video are too much for me. those older people are so full of life and just so happy to be there in the moment. what a lovely video.
I showed this video to some American friends, and they were convinced everyone in it was an actor. The media's influence is truly frightening. What surprised me even more was that they were all college graduates.
As a Chinese, sometimes I think it's good that the West thinks we are backward, so they won't stop us from developing, but obviously your government is not stupid.
The most human and touching video I've ever seen regarding China. I think because most of the Chinese coverage is either, like Yan said, political, or when people do look at ordinary lives its people in Shanghai or Beijing, these huge mega cities. It was heartwarming seeing the interactions with the kids and families here, an emotional reminder that we are all human.
Such emphaty is due to a resentment for the reality these people entrapped with state capitalism it's a pity state doesnt allow ppl do their own synthesis of their own existence but shapes it acc to global monetary credit variables manifest it self with such establishment projects socioantropologically senseless
@@artregeousI have freedom to explore the internet without censorship sucks to be stuck in a commie country where China 🦠🦠🦠 virus started and still ongoing
Cuz people want to live close to their work place or close to kid’s school, or close to big shopping centres blablabla But that “small Paris” is none of them. There is a place like a small “countryside”outside the big city.
It never feels right to me when people talk poorly about other countries. Good people don't have a nationality, they live everywhere! These videos are so beautiful.
@@wittypokerthe real common sense is to explore yourself , if u can’t justified the truth , just shut up and not comment on any countries good or bad , that’s common sense as well. But not everyone know this lol
I can honestly say when I visited China they are among the most welcoming people in the world, I visited 10 cities in 14 days, the roads are terrifying, but you can walk around in the early hours of the morning without a care in the world!
Man that old lady with the radio thing was sweet and she legit acted like one of my aunts would, the move she made after telling them she's 90 is exactly like one of my aunties antics. Shows you that people around the world are more similar than most people think they are.
It's honestly heart warming how friendly and wholesome everyone was, nobody cared that you were a tourist and felt safe enough with you guys to let you play with their kids
Yes, Chinese people love and admire Americans and other white people. To them, if you’re white, you might as well be Tom Cruise. You’re practically a celebrity in their eyes.
Glad that you captured this. Being from the uk, I also had a certain expectation of China and how the locals were. However, having recently gone to Shanghai, Beijing and Xi’an, that expectation didn’t materialise. I was shocked by how friendly and accommodating the locals were, how clean and advanced the cities were and how safe I felt. What I’ve learned is to never judge a place by what you read in the media. Politicians control the narrative so it’s more important to go and check places out and experience it yourself.
Exactly, my friend. But if only it were the politicians alone, but now, social media wannabe-gurus are now finding that there is a massive audience of haters and are glad to cater to them, the likes of the two scum-bags (laowhy86 and serpentza) of 'The China Show' for example...smh....
Indeed, Chinese politicians control tightly image of China. So you should not trust random videos in RUclips trying to persuade that life in China is just like in the West or maybe even happier.
Dude, open your eyes, China is a dictatorship, it constantly violates human rights, it has no freedom of speech whatsoever, just read about Uyghur concentration camps. Just because you go somewhere and see good people (they live in every country, no doubt) doesn’t mean you can find freedom over there. Freedom is a key factor in our world, no matter what, it stands at the first place. Being so positive about China is like looking through rose glasses, never gives you the truth from good people’s attitude.
Despite the gimmick of trying to be a mini Paris, this is just good urban design - a mix of residential and commercial together, walkability, big open communal spaces - I would kill to have this as a mid-price housing community in North America!
they build this paris to boost local&international jobs but it was fail bcs most chinese either not a fond to paris or don't like the gimmicky feeling. They also build this for the people who don't have money to travel outside. These kinds of monument culture is everywhere arround vegas, tokyo tower or even in South east Asia region.
Why do you guys build residential estates without any social amenities, damn, those estates look so dead. I wouldn't want to live in a place without a few corner shops, roadside restaurants etc
@@SUPERPOWERCHINA_ Why do you leave messages on every video about China? Repeatedly spreading these lies to demonize China will not stop China's progress, nor will it make your life better.
It's funny to me that Americans who probably saw Paris from movies or just 1 week/month feel uncomfortable or turned upside down by a city of china who looks like Paris a french city lmao
I love all of the interactions with the local population so much. Staffan dancing was such a pure, beautiful moment. Then of course Matt, and all of you, with the kiddos. Moments like these are the best part of your travel videos. I hope to be able to travel like this someday.
Great example of how the media can distort the truth- the way this place has been reported online is that it's an abandoned ghost town when in fact it's the opposite full of life and lovely people!
I actually genuinely agree with you and finally some one who l found in the comment section that actually has a functioning brain for once and this world actually genuinely needs more people actually like you in this world and you actually couldn't have said that actually any better than me.
Paris has to accommodate 12 million French people + 50 million tourists. That's a lot of people, and the city simply can't keep up. That's the challenge of mass tourism.
The dancing part made me smile so much. Such an incredible video showing how every country no matter what the media portrays it as, has so much goodness
They literally paid to have a bunch of people in to act like this was some "natural" event. The youtuber they are with runs a CCP propaganda channel. It's the only reason they are allowed to film openly like that.
There are many places in China where people dance at night as a way to exercise. In addition, there is a lot of food in China at night, and many foreigners who live in China for a period of time will gain weight! In addition, China has the world's most powerful online shopping and express logistics, so you can always stay at home and live without going out!
I just love the humanity that shines through. The fact that you guys are content playing with children, even if you wanted to speak to adults. It’s really heartwarming!
That's the amazing thing about travelling. Yes there are major cultural differences around the world but in the end, we're all humans. We're all just tryna make sure there's food in our stomachs and have a roof over our head to sleep in. As long as our friends and family are safe, we are content anywhere :)
I went to china this year. It was my first time to travel , outside of the US, My mind was blown over there, Everybody so nice and friendly. I can't wait to go back. . It was very nice to see. How you guys showed how the people are over there. Very great and nice work guys. keep it up.
Someone once shown me the difference between loneliness and being alone... The very same people shown me a much bigger side of Chinese culture. The media only shows the worst and the best, it takes people like you to show the hidden world in between. The true people that live there, not just the 1%. Much love to you all and stay safe.
Most of people live there are Little Pink. (If you don’t know what Little Pink means, you can look up the definition on Wikipedia) The time those guys posted this video is near the unofficial China’s egg fired rice day which is popular among Chinese dissidents! Everybody let’s go to your nearby Chinese restaurant to order a plate of egg fired rice or cook it by yourself to celebrate the special day and support Chef Wang Gang because Chef Wang is about getting cancelled just for uploading a video about how to make egg fried rice on Weibo yesterday because Mao Zedong’s son, Mao AnYing, “was killed in action by an air strike during the Korean War.” (according to wiki) Little Pink think egg fired rice is an insult to Mao AnYing and saw egg fried rice as a taboo. Ridiculous and insane😂
I never thought that the Chinese people were so open and friendly. Even their children are joyful and serene. I love the fact that they love music and dancing in the open. Lovely video!
As a Chinese Malaysian, I can’t wait to share the real perspectives of our culture as well as the beauty of Malaysia, hope u guys travel to this vary races with peacefully living country
It's hard to explain, even though they have to study more etc., they are allowed to be children more because the state is more protective. Like Phone Game hours, social Media, and adult content. You wont find things like Euphoria, Kids are protrayed as Kids in dramas
Only just stumbled onto this video. As an Australian who has been living in China since 2014, I'd like to say well done and thank you. It's a beautiful piece that captures my own experience living here.
I love that you guys and Yan found each other! Her videos are magical and offer a beautiful glimpse of the China far off the tourist path, as well as some great perspectives on foreign cultures. Love her channel, this collab is awesome
Never thought I would see Yan on Yes Theory, awesome collab! Definitely love watching Little Chinese Everywhere. Started with her Malaysia travel videos, as I'm Malaysian, and now following her as she travels around China.

I am working as a cameraman for german media in China at the moment and i love how you put the focus on the people living there. This is an important aspect that is so often overlooked in films from China!
What kind of cameraman job do you do? I mean China is a heated topic in Germany right? China buying up many German tech companies like KUKA. And China is about to destroy German car industry too like China did with solar panel industry in Germany. Is it something about that topic ?
You really made me think when you said that the narrative about China in the U.S. is very fear based. Thanks for focusing on people, not politics. As an Expat American in Germany, the toughest thing about going to another country is to step beyond stereotypes and take people seriously.
The US has several accurate criticisms on China. Those criticisms do not discredit the people that live inside the country, but rather the government’s way of governing those people. What the United States portrays about China is mostly true. There is a major attack on individual rights in China as you can be jailed for criticizing the government openly, which is why you probably won’t find a video with a Chinese citizen, criticizing the government openly unless it’s out of the country. this beautiful video is a testament to how beautiful human interaction is not how beautiful the Chinese government is. The Chinese government is still very, very corrupted
I haven’t ever really traveled I have really bad depression and anxiety and watching people like yall gives me hope in what I can do in the future. I’m 24 lot of life to live I hope that this comment makes someone a bit full and happy as it’d be nice to know my failures can be a bit redeemed by you guys being so good.
Hey Ethan, Thomas here, first of all your comment was seen and appreciated on my end as I sit here late night in (real) Paris back home scrolling through my phone :) I don’t know you or your story, but all I can say is at 24 you still have so much time and are by no means a failure. I’ll also add that your life sure as hell matters. Life can be a confusing, disheartening and challenging experience, but ultimately I’ve chosen to see those ups and downs as necessary steps in my journey. If it makes you feel any better, I’m anxious often as well, and doing my best to learn how to cope with it. Meditation, exercise and finding good friends over time has made a big difference. Sending you lots of love and strength good sir 🙏
As someone who struggles with bad depression and anxiety too I can give you my little advice I use. If you have that random burst of energy and want to do something and you don't know what, just go out and maybe explore some parts of your town or maybe even something like a forest near you, you have never walked or seen. Seeing new things really helps my depression and make me want to explore even more around my place. Starting small adventures leads to some bigger ideas later, trust me! :)
@@YesTheory As someone who's in the same boat as Ethan your comment made me tear up. People like you make the world a better place. I hope you know that.
That was so beautiful! I love that your videos always show so many positive things about a country the news and media in general always seem to sweep under the rug. It shows that there is so much more to a country than just the politicians making the news. Thank you for being so eye opening!
Indeed, it´s great to follow the news... but to an extent. It really messes with your perception if you don´t go out and experience things for yourself. Also, in real life you don´t discuss politics nearly the amount people do online, so it´s way easier to common ground.
This is the best video I have ever seen of foreigners traveling to China. Unlike other RUclipsrs who only show China's large-scale infrastructure construction, transportation, or convenient mobile payments, it shows more about the lives of ordinary Chinese people and their friendly attitude towards international friends. The interaction between you guys and the elderly and children in the video hits the heart. It's so damn great, thank you.

I am Chinese. You can think of this as a playground to experience French culture. Just like many people will go to Disney to experience fairy tales. After the project failed. They changed their marketing strategy. Start converting commercial properties into residential properties. But few people bought it. Rent a lot. This is a commercial project. . . But the project fell short of expectations. . The Chinese are not that much interested in France Now. This French-style area. Functionally more like a "French style park" Beijing also has a place to experience Hollywood. Universal Studios. There are houses like those in the movie.
I live in Chengdu and there's some projects around here that are European themed. Mostly luxury homes (only 1 or 2 stories tall with lots of park area). They're certainly the minority though, most projects are the bog-standard Chinese skyrise clusters with a small central green space.
Chinese CPmember goes to Paris ''there is much black people and muslins and garbage there, also is way expensive and smell like piss'' so China build is own Paris China Paris is more clean than real Paris probably will have more French than real Paris
The Chinese are also not good at marketing. With good marketing, this place could be a big tourist attraction. It obviously now needs renovation for the houses and so on. The Chinese are so modest and just produce products, and let flashy westerners do the marketing.
Honestly, this is so heartwarming. Ever since I heard of little paris, i was worried it would wing up a genuine ghost town like the rest, so knowing that its still alive and thriving really makes me happy :) glad yall had a fun time!

Just discovered this channel, and wow, what a heartwarming video this is. Such a pleasure to see a video about China that is filled with wonder and good vibes rather than the far easier alternative of finding fault in everything. These guys look like they had a great time, embraced the experience, and made a beautifully produced video. Kudos to you. I'll be watching again and have subscribed.
Killing innocent people. Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims in the concentration camps. Genocides are everywhere in China. Make a video about that, be transparent. Look at all the electric cars and scooters that are blowing up in China, thousands have been made but they are so poor quality that they end up not being used and leaking acids into their water supply. Not to mention the colorful mountains that are painted in huge quantities. All the petroleum and oil go to the water supply.
This is one of the most touching video i've seen. It is really great to see how human beings are nice to each other. I didn't know that Chinese people are that kind and cheerful. I would like to thank you guys for showing the world the real version of such people from such country.
They're beyond kind...your cup will overflow from people who don't have enough to give. Especially the rural people. And they're not as closed as Japanese...it's far different. Moreover how they treat foreigners....is actually TOO good, in my opinion. For any colored person... especially white and blue eyes...
I went to China in 1997, alone, with in hand my lonely planet travel book of 1060 pages part in Mandarin language (so I can show to people the beautiful little houses scrip of China language to be able to go where I wanted to) It has been very difficult but very rewarding. I travelled out of season and saw few others travellers. I was young, curious and willing to see the most of my stay: Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangshuo and Shenzhen. At that time still a lot of people wear the traditional grey clothes. It was the only country where I had a bed in the bus for those long 12 hours trip. I would like very much to go back to see what you guys are experiencing now in a Modern China. Travels make all men better.
As a Chinese, China was completely different even 5 years ago, let alone 20 years ago. I believe China's development will definitely shock you. You are very welcome to come back to China and have a look🥰
China has changed dramatically every year for the past twenty years, and every year I go back to China, I find something new and different. It's a completely different country compared to 1997.

Thank you for this series. I am so happy someone with a large following is showcasing the China I know. The sheer kindness of the people is greatly undervalued. Especially so, with the constant media blitz fanning the flames of fear with absolutely nothing positive to say, not even about the food.

China surpassed USA in many aspects, socialism is superior than destructive capitalism, they have problems n still lives in a transition form but u can't deny they have achieved many growing
Actually the politics aren't bad. The western media is just trying to make you believe we live poorly while we are actually doing fine. It's just a propaganda battle. I have been to US myself and the people were quite nice to us too. It is both amusing and upsetting to see western people think we are living poorly or thinking we are monsters.
I'm from Shanghai, but I never heard of this mock-up Paris town until I saw your video, thanks for bringing this part of China to the broader audience! Glad to see local collaboration with Yan! Highly recommending her videos if you want to see more 'hidden' parts of China
Wow the fact that u live in China and had never heard of this really just shows how huge China really is cus if this city was built anywhere else everyone wud know about it
It’s crazy that you don’t know such places… Don’t you know your governments spent billions of dollars on building these empty cities for the last decade?
I think that this place is not empty, it normal. Real Paris is too crowded by foreign tourist. So when we see this replica, we come up with expectations that of Paris and find it awfully different yet similar

As a Chinese lived 5 years in Paris (the true one :)), I would say this video is amazing and the dancing with elder ladies so accurate for a normal day in China.
It is amazing to see how kind and welcoming the people you meet are, it is a stark contrast with how the media portrays the country. Love to see it, hope to continue watching your videos for many years to come!
Best video I saw today. Thank you to bring me a little bit of China (real) people to our side of life!!! (I'm in Portugal, by the way). Keep going with your projects!
Wonderful. Out of the many dozens of countries I've been fortunate enough to travel to, two of the most meaningful and life-enhancing experiences I've had was in Beijing and Shanghai with some local Chinese people. I've been to China a few times and the people are awesome! No knowledge of language needed, just smiles, and there's plenty of them there.

I am a Chinese American girl who grew up almost entirely in the US, and since I was little I grew up in the enviornment where "china is bad" "Chinese are bad" and that kind of even rubbed off on me. Even if my parents tell me their childhood and good things of China I was hesitant to fully believe them. This summer, after I graduated University, I gathered all my courage and made a very important descision. That is, without anyone else I know, I will travel China blind and alone(like, no advice purely just where I wanna see or visit), for four months. It was a mindblowing experience. First of all, I have NEVER been surrounded by SO MANY people who look similar to me, I was submerged in a place that centered around the Chinese culture, language, gestures, food, music, human interactions that are so different from the western style. But it was extremely comforting. I've travelled to see historic miracles of human civilization, see modern technological miracles, the AMAZING food choices, how diverse the crusines were, (vegertarian or not you never run out of food options, being vegetarian in China is like the best thing ever) and the people were so NICE, I can talk to strangers sitting beside me in the high speed railways just talking about our life and experiences. I've even meet a lady whom I feel so kindred with that we traveled the entirety of chengdu just within the 2 hours meeting her on the railway, especially considering the age gap(she 37, me 22). We had so much fun exploring many small or lavish restaurants, trying new drinks (coffee/ fruit tea/ tea/ boba) visiting tourist spots, PANDAS, and buying souvenirs over the past 3 days I spent in Chengdu. I would've never done or even think that if I was in the US for fear of being kidnapped or mugged. Not to mention all the other very nice people who helped me with purchasing tickets, pointing directions, offering suggestions for the local best, and even just a pat on the head from friendly elders or shy waving from young children. My expections were shattered to pieces, I've never felt more comfortable and relaxed being somewhere. It still makes me tear up whenever I remember fond memories I made during these 4 months now that I had to return to the US. I'm currently watching all these "travelling to China" videos for comfort, and I feel like you guys made such good video series, focusing not only on breaking social expectations, but also letting us see the local people, which was what made MY "travel to china" experience extra special. The energy you guys give off is also very comforting, I love genuine human to human interactions and mingling, so heartwarming. Thank you guys!
we probably share some kind of blood connection, This is also the reason you've come to China against all odds,to see firsthand if it's really as bad as the media paints it. I remember over a decade ago during my college days, chatting with American friends online. their go-to question was often, "Does your government brainwash you, treating us like enemies? how's your communist president ...blah blah blah?" the entire western world seems to be immersed in the stereotypical impressions crafted by the media. hopefully, we can learn from each other, break free from this stereotype, fostering more understanding and peace. By the way, I'm living in Changsha now. If you ever get the chance, feel free to drop by anytime. It's convenient to come here by high-speed train or plane, and I can show you around to experience the unique local cuisine and scenery. looking forward to sharing more enjoyable moments with you!
Like many Asian Americans, it's good you come to the realization that we're really minorities in developed countries like the US. Our parents left these places for a reason though it comes with tradeoffs
I believe everything you are saying. Great citizens and food and scenery. But there is a real “big brother” danger of being arrested inadvertently. The first amendment protections do not exist.

I lived in China for nine years since 2013. I wasn’t surprised that places like this would fill up! It’s very sweet for me to watch. Spending so much time there changed me, and it wasn’t always perfect or happy, but I can’t count the wonderful moments I had there, or the very loving people I met and made friends with. This video reminds me of the life I enjoyed. Very nostalgic, especially the kids!
Our Son has been in University in Nanjing China for 5 years. We love visiting there, the people are amazing. People never believe me, when i tell them how safe it is to walk around there. At night when it cools down everyone comes out to Eat and Dance. People are generally shy is what i found, but if you learn a couple of Mandarin words it goes a long way.

According to Wikipedia, Tianducheng was constructed in 2007 and designed for 10,000 residents. By 2013 it only had 2,000 residents but by 2017 it had grown to 30,000 and had been expanded several times. So it appears to be a successful development and not a ghost town at all. The Parisian section is just residential. I assume during the day everyone is at work and at school so it appears deserted. But after work people return and it all comes alive. I would like to see the same area on a weekend. I would assume then the streets would be filled with people during the day as well as at night.
In China is not a classic weekend as we know it. It's really most of the time only at night a live because of what u said the most are busy during the day. Because working hours are from my experience from ~9-5 and depending how far you live in the east its already dark when you get home during the winter.

My wife is chinese (im british) and i love the message you ended this on. Both sides are horrendously guilty of misrepresenting the general population of each country its so refreshing to see someone push the correct narrative for once.
Except British government and media actively push sinophobia, China doesn't and really doesn't even need to since UK are doing such a great job of making themselves look bad!

Astonishing and heartwarming. I've only been to China on one occasion and experienced a great deal of the same kind of friendliness, and people being genuinely curious about where I was from.

This was filmed beautifully . Each moment entertaining … everyone so open minded and respectful. I live three provinces up from Shanghai and have always wanted to visit Paris . I guess when I have time I’ll have to go visit this mini one nearby .
As a Parisian I found the buildings facades well done. It doesn't look like the Parisian buildings but I expected something really kitsch and it's not. Those buildings would blend perfectly in Paris for they look like the new buildings built in Paris, especially in the suburbs. The Eiffel Tower though looks like the trinkets sold to tourists just that it's bigger.
@@giakolou2876 Paris isn't a Disneyland where nobody lives like the fake town in the picture that's for sure. At the end of the day the tourists prefer to go to the real thing to make it the most visited city in the world. That's how dirty and dangerous Paris is. One has more chance to end up in jail after a scam to get money in China than being the victim of some violent crime in Paris, so.
Just beautiful!! The way you interacted with the residents and each other brings me hope for the future of the planet...... People are mostly kindhearted and affectionate no matter where you go.. Thanks guys for taking this old lady on travels I cannot experience any other way
As a Chinese guy who has lived in Paris for years and now lives in other bigger city in China, me myself didn't know nothing about this place! I really love the chemistry of your team and with the local people, which also shows to us that the love to life has no difference, we're all humans after all Hope to you explore more blue zones of the world Followed😘
It's crazy how media shapes and changes people's perception so much nowadays. As always lovely video! And so great to see Derin and Matt back. Missed Amar tho. Much love.
Guys please don’t let Matt quit Yes Theory. It’s okay if he’s not in every single episode. But please do a few group ones. He seemed really happy, living like Tomas is maybe not what he desires but it’s so clear that trips like these bring him joy. Amar and Tomas are often alone with strangers & it affects the banter. Watching them with their family is way better. Watching someone like Matt, his smile is so genuine. Y’all may remain friends after he leaves but for us, it’s like death of something beautiful. I hope y’all reconsider. I know me saying this is meaningless. So Matt I hope our paths cross bud and I wish you the best & joy. I will miss watching you.
But imagine this trip from Matt's perspective. I would wager that the disconnection from the company actually allowed him to reconnect with his friends, and have a properly fun time in China, instead of worrying about the production hassles and how well the video will perform once it's released, or if you've accidentally captured something on camera that will throw your channel into the deep end of cancel culture. It's gotta be a relieving feeling to just travel with your friends. And Matt's probably the only one there experiencing that. That being said, I think your hope that we'll see him pop up here and there is fairly likely. Yet, he doesn't feel the need to bring a camera anymore, and that's okay. Just know that his smiles are still out there even if we're not the ones seeing them, and be happy for him that he's actually happy now.
You guys are so inspiring…the travel, the money you raise for charity, getting to know what the REAL locals are like, showing us that on this huge planet we truly are all the same. Wonderful content ❤
The real world is daily quarantine for last 2 years, and months lock down for you last year. If you prefer those policies, China is a better place for you.
What an amazing place and people, it has also captured some of the French vibes in a weird unexpected way, it must be the architecture and layout that helps make the people relaxed and friendly, all I can say is wow what a lovely place. Well done China xx

Theirs no way I would live in China. You don't have any rights or privacy. Look what they did during covid. They locked people in steel cages, welded their doors shut. Look what they're doing to millions of Uyghur Muslims. Nothing about China is humanistic or empathetic.

This city is a big time outlier in terms of statistics. Life in a denser city is very different. This city is built like Paris but with a fraction of the population. What I’ve learned is to never judge a place by what you read in the media. Politicians control the narrative so it’s more important to go and check places out and experience it yourself.
嗯,中国并不是十分坏,只是九分坏而已
You should reflect on how the media brain washed you.

Thanks for your heartwarming comment and welcome to the yes fam!! :) / Staffan
Please do go back, do your own vlog and tell us about the changes.
Xi'an is my hometown,
But the notoriously unethical chinese communist party ccp never change
10:20 man that interaction with the 90 year old lady and the 85 year old man who plays basketball was so nice! I can't believe how friendly they were that was legit amazing! I was smiling ear to ear 😂😂
Thank you for this series. I am so happy someone with a large following is showcasing the China I know. The sheer kindness of the people is greatly undervalued. Especially so, with the constant media blitz fanning the flames of fear with absolutely nothing positive to say, not even about the food.

When you look beyond the politics of a country its really heartwarming to see all of the people who have lives that are not that far apart from yours.
China surpassed USA in many aspects, socialism is superior than destructive capitalism, they have problems n still lives in a transition form but u can't deny they have achieved many growing
You would love Nazi Germany!!!!

Yes, indeed, rootless cosmopolitanism is da bomb.
I'm from Shanghai, but I never heard of this mock-up Paris town until I saw your video, thanks for bringing this part of China to the broader audience! Glad to see local collaboration with Yan! Highly recommending her videos if you want to see more 'hidden' parts of China
Wow the fact that u live in China and had never heard of this really just shows how huge China really is cus if this city was built anywhere else everyone wud know about it
Sorry to say, but I think most people outside of China have heard of this place.... and no one is going
It's because the majority of your government's propaganda (like these copy/paste towns) is aimed at the outside world, not its own citizens.
Guauuu
It’s crazy that you don’t know such places…
Don’t you know your governments spent billions of dollars on building these empty cities for the last decade?

Seeing this after China just recently announced visa-free entry for German, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish and Malaysian citizens is really exciting.
Do it!!! You won’t regret it!!

No one says the Chinese people are evil. Just their government.
Best video I saw today. Thank you to bring me a little bit of China (real) people to our side of life!!! (I'm in Portugal, by the way). Keep going with your projects!
Yan is a perfect addition to the friendship-family! Her videos are amazing. ❤
Dancing is such a beautiful way to break the language barrier! I am from Texas and 2 stepping is in our DNA. To see Stephan dance with someone at every location and country he is at is so beautiful to me! The joy of connection he brings is so beautiful to see. So happy he is apart of the team! :)

As an American who has had the privilege of visiting Asia, I can confidently say that it's an incredible region filled with warm and welcoming people. At 6'2" and sporting a cowboy hat, I stood out in many of the places I visited, yet I was consistently met with curiosity and kindness. It was truly eye-opening to experience firsthand how much we humans share in common, despite our cultural differences. I highly recommend venturing beyond your comfort zone and engaging with people from diverse backgrounds - both locally and globally. You'll likely be surprised by the connections and friendships you forge along the way.

The time those guys posted this video is near the unofficial China’s egg fired rice day which is popular among Chinese dissidents!
I love Yan! Great collaboration!
So inspiring to see a channel like yours that is not only doing travel vlogging but also giving back to aid others. Hats off to you all 🎉
my cintent is epic

It is Matt’s choice. We need to respect his choice.
