  • On October 6, 2021, officers were dispatched to a domestic call in La Crosse, WI. When Police arrived, they made contact with the 40-year-old woman. She explained she had gotten into an argument with her mother over money. Moments later, she claimed she didn't know the other woman (her mother). She then attempted to open the front door and go inside but got absolutely nowhere...

Human bites are one of the most dangerous bites a person can get.
My husband and I worked with developmentally disabled adults. One day as the clients were leaving to go to their group homes, a client turned and bit my husband in the arm. It took 9 people to restrain a 98lb man. After all was done, he went and washed the wound with soap and water and decided he didn't need to go to the ER. Within 12 hours, his arm was twice the size it should of been and he was running a high fever.
We went to the ER where they drained the wound and prescribed 2 of the strongest antibiotics at that time.
It took 4 months for the wound to heal. To this day, he has a scar and indentation in his arm where he was bitten.
Human bites need medical attention asap.

Someone out there needs to start another video upload site with *NONE* of the bullshit of youtube - but a few of the anti-hate safeguards in place. Human bites are actually more dangerous than dog bites and such. Funnily enough we can transfer a lot of diseases that way. And if the bite gets infected, it can leaf to amputation. My gramdma roomed with a nurse (supposedly) who had been bite by a paitent when she tried pulling their tongue from the back of their throat so they didnt "swallow it" (you cant swallow your own tongue thats what that piece of skin under your tongue is basically for) the lady ended up passing from the infection in the bite. So i would argue the offocer getting bit was a serious injury. And i hope he got antibiotics immediately if she broke the skin.

Not a mental health professional here, but to my 59 year old eyes and ears, there is seems to be some kind of mental issue going on here. I think the officers handled things well, but with someone so combative you have to get physical to detain them. Unless she is a master thespian, I think a psychiatric eval would be more helpful than jail. If it was all an act though, the bite should get her some time.

The officer knew she wasn’t all there and asked her if she’d like to be evaluated which she declined. Only when she was denied entry into the home did she become combative. I hope they took her to a psych ward after being processed in jail. Lady is out of her tree

This looks like she might have some sort of dementia or Alzheimer's. My grandpa had Alzheimer's and would become sort of combative or aggressive and make threats towards people including my poor uncle which upset him but deep down he knew he didn't mean it. Sometimes people remember things that happened when they were six but forget their own child
