But when it's used as malicious gossip against another person it should be shut down HARD. In this case it might help calm the guy down, but I think he was too altered for it to really be effective.

I was very lucky to have seen myself on cam early in my drinking career. Campus bar, first year, lots of videos. We were all drunk, but I couldn’t take my eyes off of myself. It didn’t put me off of the occasional drink now or then, but it sure as hell put me off of excessive drinking. The only time I got massively drunk after that was when my dad died. And I did it alone. At home.
