- On November 6, 2021, Police responded to a fight complaint between a man and a woman that occurred at The Warming Center in La Crosse, WI. After the man was separated, he pulled a knife from his pocket and lunged at others.
When officers arrived and obtained details about the incident, the man became more impatient and displayed many signs of aggression. He stated that if they tried to arrest him, he would start swinging.

That woman that flipped the table should be arrested as well. She instigated the entire thing by flipping the table at him.
Yup she started it but he shouldn't have responded by pulling a knife and attacking staff with it. They were only doing their jobs feeding everyone. Why did he need to jab at them? He should have been tazed and thrown into jail.
The fact that she wasn't arrested leads me to believe the other employees spoke up for her in some way. That tape had no audio, so we have no idea if she's the aggressor, or just the first to take physical action. And it looked more like she was using the table as a barrier at first, a crappy one at that. Those flimsy plastic tables are garbage. Without audio we'll never know.
Edit: Hmm, I watched it again. If you watch, she has her back to him, sitting at the other table. So I imagine John was slinging some unsavory language her way. Silly situation to draw a knife in in any case.

To those wondering why the other person wasn't arrested: maybe they were. We just didn't see it in this vid. They also said they were gonna interview people in the establishment, but that wasn't shown in the vid either. We can't just assume she got away scott free. Also, in the CCTV footage, there's no audio. We have zero clue what words were exchanged between the two before the table was flipped. I'm not saying the table should've been flipped. I'm just pointing put that he might've said something awful or offensive to her that set her off.
Again, I'm not saying she was in the right. At the end of the day, it was John who took things to a very dangerous level and ended up stabbing an innocent person. He's a violent drunk who's a danger to himself and others.
I gotta admit, though, that seeing a man take off his shirt in the freezing cold while surrounded by officers with tazers and guns drawn was kinda comical, but only for a moment. Such a sad situation overall.
I'm on John's side. Never flip a table on a man enjoying some good chili.

I think it's cool and awesome what they do but no longer want to do it.
Man that lady started the whole Fight she flipped the table on the guy! I’m not praising the guy for pulling the Knife but if they saw the cameras they would’ve saw what really happened! She should be goin to jail for assault! Facts .
That's what I said. He is right , she's a c.u.n.t
It's really sad how few of us even mentioned this basic fact lol.
@Connie Bonn agreed
Dude was drunk trying to sober up everything went sideways and his anger got the best of him! Unfortunately typical situation between any man and woman! Takes a lot of self control to deal with a situation like that unfortunately he was drunk!
When you’re drunk you pretty much lose your rights because no one believes anything you say.
John: I’m going this way! Get it figured up it then.
😂
I feel sorry for the 2 staff that have to deal with this most days
This is really sad. He was telling the truth about what happened. The woman that started this entire thing should have been arrested too.
Women never ever get held accountable
Nah he was lying
Yeah, but he is the one who pulled a knife and attacked other people. And he made a lot of threats of violence in front of cops. All she did that they could prove was flip a table. She maybe deserved a ticket or a ban from the warming center. Also the video deosn't show why she flipped the table. What did he say to enrage her so much?
@@mattjamison484 yeah with the way he was speaking about her too I’d definitely say he wasn’t the victim.
How are you so sure that the woman started it?
The fact he wasn’t detained/tased/subdued earlier in the confrontation is mind blowing.. you can tell he’s a regular at county.
Yeah I'm a frequent flyer again because I chose to do meth with my ex but I dumped him because I'm tired of being stupid. I am from and live in Alabama. They would have fucked him up the minute he came at them cussing and I may not like all of them but them guys would have prevented the threats. He wouldn't be conscious. He would be humble when and if he woke up. They had to take me last month because I wouldn't listen when they told me to get on the ground. Today in court I was surprised that I wasn't arrested but u definitely deserved to be. The only reason I'm glad I wasn't is because the people who love me would see me get arrested again. Not fair to them. I'm gonna try to do better tho. Deep down I'm better than how I've been acting and begged him to stop using until I went to court because I wanted to stop. I beat him to sleep day before yesterday when he told me I wasn't leaving and pushed me away from the door because he is a pussy who never will change. I want to try even if I fail I'm trying and alive for some reason. Yeah this guy is a crazy mf and tough but he's lived through hell for sure. They need to put my ex in his cell he likes to give meth to people like me and women. He does need to have some consequences but he should try to get some help. He deserves it and there was room for the woman to go as well. So many people hurting and I empathize with him but I couldn't let him kill or hurt me. He's dangerous to everybody around him no doubt and to himself. It would be even sorrier to not try to help himself. I hope for a good outcome for sure. This didn't happen for nothing, he was once an innocent kid. I hope all people get karma who give meth to people and this is exactly what that looks like. Violence is required or you could lose your life. These cops were great tho and he will be going away again for sure. He will sober up and regret this to some extent but I hope that he beats addiction. He deserves to and so does everyone else around him.
They know this guy is on a hair trigger so the police are especially patient with him
Frequent Flyer.

I hope he finds peace and stays off the sauce.
It's crazy this guy is still alive with an attitude like that.
10:49 “decentralized” definetly one of my favorite terms ever used to describe taking someone down
How can someone maintain that level of rage for so long
Drink
When you’re drunk, you think people aren’t listening to you when really you just don’t understand. It gets extremely aggravating
Alcohol

Liberal.
Full credit to these officers. They did EVERYTHING they possibly could to keep this from getting out of hand. They gave him every chance to be reasonable, but were always ready for him to be unreasonable. He was the initial victim in the incident, and they gave him the benefit of the doubt for that until he gave them no choice.
yeah if he was black he'd be dead

This Mad Max went from John the Ripper to John Wayne ... Hats off to the officers especially the officer that was like " yup I'm done listening to this dude," linebacker him straight to the ground ! I salute you !
👏👍
Wooooh 😂 John should be a comedian 😂 aside from being a drunk and needing therapy and anger management he should be Chris Farleys character lol 😂
What a group of well trained, fully professional law enforcement officers - THIS is a prime example of how Police work SHOULD be done!!!!
This is on the worse end of what these guys deal with. These officers had some fear in them (rightfully so). When a 6’4 250 pound crazy drunk guy with NOTHING to lose says “I’m ready come at me” EVERY sane person would be puckered. He has a shitty life probably from a real dark upbringing and was trying to enjoy a warm meal, when some dumb meth head flips a table with his PRECIOUS food on it… yeah lions do bite. These cops kept it professional but no less than four cops would approach to arrest that man without tazer or guns drawn. Rightfully so. Imagine him in this mindset in his 30s. Wild.
Only in the Midwest.
So the lady flipping the table… wasn’t that the catalyst to the incident? Seems like that would be assault.
Women will walk all over our ass with this legal system
Absolutely !!! And she's no lady either
That cop is awesome. Remaining objective and offering as much positive commentary as possible to keep the guy calm and cooperative. There are so many videos that show cops hurting un-armed people and whatnot - those definitely made an impression on me in recent years - but the fact is that there are far more good cops out there and I'm glad to see this channel showing there are plenty of exemplary ones out there as well. For anyone who's mantra is that all cops are power-hungry thugs, I challenge you to confront citizens like this and keep your cool. Good luck with that. That is a daunting task for most human beings - particularly to behave at that level day after day, and when confronting people that are looking to hurt or kill you - or at the least not giving you one shred of respect for doing your job. That level of grounded-ness is beyond me, that's for sure.
@jeffl977: So very well said, John! 👍🇨🇦
that was a great tackle, props to that cop for the initiative.
once on the ground "Alright boys alright" getmadamheadoffdaconcretemayne" "alright boys" this dude is classic.
Absolutely great policing. No ego, no aggression. Handling a metal ill person with respect, without lethal force. Phenomenal job by the officers involved. Normally all these videos focus on negativity.
Worst bloody policing I have seen!!!!!
Wait a minute he's mentally ill where did you hear that??! I gotta watch this again.... OK once was painful enough. But to watch it twice was well that sucked. Where in this at what time frame did you hear this guy say that he was mentally ill?? Do you know this person? A relative, spouse?
In the UK cuffs within 5 min. They waited until 15 min to suddenly draw guns then a ton of blokes jump on him. Ridiculous. That's why the US has a policing problem. I'll be showing this to colleagues tomorrow. All I will see is people shaking their heads
Agree
@@lynndee2644 very bitchy response. I think the point is made fine. These actions are clearly a sign of mental illness
