Was only a dui after he fled the police. Being asleep in your car for whatever reason isn’t a crime. What if the people sleeping in their cars (near homeless) were harassed by police like this?

He won't follow the rules. I was on probation for 2 years and failed drug tests multiple times, plus I kept driving with a suspended license and they still never revoked my probation, I was honestly pretty surprised with the leniency.

I'm sorry but a $2,000 signature bond for assaulting multiple officers and going on a high speed chase is a slap in the face to society. What was the prosecutor and/or judge thinking?
EDIT: Yes, I realize that this was not his punishment. That's NOT the point. There is NO Federal constitutional right to pretrial bail. Bail is NOT a guaranteed benefit in Wisconsin or anywhere in the USA, for that matter. The judge could have refused it altogether, or at the very least set it at a much higher, but still reasonable level. The judge had an obligation to protect society leading up to trial, and at the very least ensure that the defendant had a strong incentive to show up for the trial.
democrat AG most likely
The AG has a policy to not prosecute. Unfortunately, especially if you are a minority or a "special" class. The entire lower half of Wisco is a democrat haven. All the shit from decades in IL has bled north over the border and turned it into a sh!thole.

Obviously it’s not just the bond, he’s most likely gonna have to do some classes and community labor, and possibly a later court date to see what they’re gonna give him if he gets jail time
Another example of criminal brilliance. "I'm going to drive away as fast as I can and you won't know who I am or catch me so I won't go to jail." Officer: "Ummm, sir, you forgot to take your driver's license with you."
Judge still let him go free.

Larry Powers: It certainly isn't a deterrent to not re-offend. The Cops catch - the courts release... rinse ...repeat.
Good ole Wisconsin
Bonds aren't the punishment. The punishment/sentencing comes after the court case is concluded which can take months, or years. Bond is simply a condition of not being in jail while the court proceedings occur. The sobriety and license bit are conditions for his bond. If he breaks those conditions, jail

@Jody Owen The condition was "no driving without a valid license and insurance" That's the condition for EVERYBODY. Nobody can lawfully drive without a license and insurance.
Someone doesnt know how court works. Did you miss all the felonies he hasnt gone to trial for yet? Hes got priors, including a prior OWI, & just had "driving without a license, fleeing an officer, another OWI, battery to an officer, & resisting arrest" added to his charges. Since hes had priors he will likely get at least a couple years jail time from this when he finally goes to trial.
That wasnt his punishment man, that was his bail conditions 😆 & he probably will be caught drunk or driving & then be unable to make bail any longer because of those conditions
@@carnyzack again, it's a pretrial release condition. driving without a license normally doesn't land your ass in jail, but in this case it would.
@@carnyzack I'm pretty sure they just made it an extra condition for him so in the likely case that he violates it again, the charges will be worse because it was part of specific conditions for his bail release. I'm not sure how exactly it works, but it likely means the penalties will be steeper than if he simply did it without the added restriction specifically tailored for him. Itd definitely immediately revoke his bail & hed have to wait for trial in jail. Could end up with him having to be in jail before he even goes to court, which would be great

I'm a white guy with no tattoos no criminal history nothing, last time I went to jail was because I was a passenger in a Uber and the UBER DRIVER got hit . . And I've had terrible encounters with the police. Plenty. Can't count how many times I've been pulled over for nothing, searched and just let go. For nothing. . Last November 15th, I was CHARGED with resisting arrest and obstruction of justice, (not convicted still fighting it.)
The cops broke my right ring finger and fractured my ribs.... it's now September 15th, 10 months later and I still don't know what I did wrong or to break any laws that day..
I was a passenger in a UBER. The Uber driver got hit by some young man who ran a stop sign. The first cop on scene was a hot head who was NOT dispatched to the wreck. He jumped out of his cruiser and demanded we all get off our cell phones. He made the UBER DRIVER hang up on the 911 call .. I was on the phone with my wife telling her I'd be late and the Uber got into a wreck, they're sending me another ride yadda yadda, he even made the other guy hang up the phone, sounded like he was talking to his parent of something... Well anyway, I guess I took to long to hang up, this cop grabbed my arm and tried like twisting it, I think to get my phone. I switched my phone to my other hand and I'm like okokokok, that's when I was slammed to the sidewalk, he had a shin on my neck while rubbing my face into the concrete, he kept yelling to stop resisting and yelling hands hands. Well it's kinda hard to give them my hands when they were underneath me, and remind you this was in winter, so I'm in a coat and many layers, so even harder. Then another cop comes up and started kicking me in the sides. Like how tf am I supposed to just put my hands behind my back when I got a big cop on my back and another kicking my ribs. It was ridiculous... so long story short. After my beating I was placed in the back of a cop car, I still haven't been told I'm under arrest, I still haven't even been asked for my information or anything.!!! They wouldn't tell me anything! Until I got to Hamilton county justice center, in Cincinnati Ohio. I heard I was under arrest for obstruction and resisting arrest, that's why the lady in the jail behind the computer let me out on O.R. she asked what I did and I told her I have no idea. I told her the story, and she thought it was weird too. She even said they don't usually let people out on OR of they resisted arrest because they're likely not to come back, but since BOTH of my ONLY 2 charges were secondary offenses. She let me go.. I just don't understand how TF I was even spoken to. Like??? Were the ones who called the police because both cars were totaled in the middle of the road and one was smoking. I was just waiting for my other Uber, when this crazy cop showed up out of no where and started treating everyone like we just robbed a bank and went on a chase. It was CRAZY. I never thought I'd actually be a victim to this type of abuse by police because I'm always cooperative and polite and respectful. Even saying yes sir and no sir even if they're younger than me... it's crazy.!!! I have had plenty of bad encounters but those are usually when I've been pulled over in my car, and they always do a bunch of unnecessary searching, ask unnecessary irrelevant questions etc. And illegaly search my car. All they say is " this is a predominantly black neighborhood and you're white and there's a lot of narcotic trafficking around here, and we're doing a investigation, now you're part of it. Keep your hands where I can see them and slowly exit the vehicle. I've heard that at LEAST 9 times.... they see I have nothing illegal, and I have license plate registration and insurance and usually take our pictures and let me go...
I just had got jumped and stabbed in downtown Cincinnati Ohio last April. . By 13 people. And they was all yelling racist shit while beating me and my girlfriend up. She had to have surgery on her eye because she had kept getting stomped on her face, she got a double orbital fracture. Had to have bone removed and replaced with a metal plate because the broken bone fragments were obstructing her eye movement. She couldn't see out of it for 3 week. I had cuts, broken collar bone fractured ribs and broken pinky finger. Not one of our random attackers spent more than a day in jail, and not one felony. Although some of them were already convicted felons.
Only some of them got Misdemeanors. ... I asked the prosecutor who is a black lady, I said what if 13 white folks was going around beating up blk couples downtown, on camera, you think they'd be charged with a felony. She said " %100, felonious assault with a weapon, criminal mischief ,hate crimes and more."
Just saying. Her words not mine. Then the victims advocate try making it to seem like it's our fault for being downtown, like??? We were on FOUNTAIN SQUARE, not in the mf projects. TF!!!!

The thing I’m learning from all these videos in Wisconsin is the police officers themselves are extremely professional and great at their jobs. The other thing I’m learning is the laws that the officer are attempting to enforce appear to be undermined all the time by the actual punishments given out from the judicial side of the Justice System.

@Donnell Okafor - agree with that. It has become almost an accepted part of growing up that young black men (and poor whites)go to jail for something. As a probation officer, I was more or less just accepted by my offenders' families the same as just another part of the normal routine. Shouldn't be that way. Criminality is not just a part of growing up for anyone. It is mostly because of what you stated but also because the system is not equal for all. A poor kid can't hire a good lawyer to negotiate a deal with the courts and end up with the public defenders, most of whom I found to be apathetic and or incompetent. Lots of problems for sure but until the thug lifestyle is characterized for what it is, and not as a glamorous life style, the problems will continue. The place to focus is to stop glorifying criminality....and once that happens the system will work for everyone.

@@rynolascavio3381 they have to because liberals will throw a fit

So they took away his license but told him WE MEAN IT NOW don't drive plus he has to give his word that he won't drink. Yeah right. This is how low our court system has gone. Taking criminals at their word and releasing them back on our streets to have to deal w them. No jail time. *Pathetic!*
You beat me to it. Sh*t is ridiculous, they may as well had left him alone from the start.
This is beyond pathetic!! Back in my day his window would have been busted and his sorry ass dragged out of the car within 45 seconds. Had he somehow would have tried to rabbit, his black ass would have several rounds in him
This is so fucked!!
They need a deterrence. "If you break the law again or break the agreement then the punishment will be 5x heavier then the first offence"
Something like that
And all that on a $2000 bond? FFS, those officers risk their lives daily for it to be taken so lightly by the judicial system. No wonder officers are leaving, it seems to me the US empire is falling like the Roman one.
dudes are rotting in prison for 30+ years over a gram of weed while rapists and alcoholics run free
Just watching this reminds me of how cold it gets here.
Served no time? What in the actual fuck is going on with the justice system?
Cops should’ve blocked him in with their cars before they even woke him up
they never use their cars to block people in it seems idk why they dont expect everyone to do this
Seems like blocking him in with a vehicle would hVe been pretty effective. He got off super easy...
Without making contact it would have been an unlawful detainment and they would have been sued for millions.
@@officerfuzz5-050 lol ok

No time behind bars for this violent act? Disgusting! We see this kind of behavior every day. Need to lock 'em up for a good long time to get the message out that compliance with law enforcement is not optional.
I cannot believe he was released on $2000! That is absolutely ridiculous! This dude deserves to be locked up for a long ass time! Somebody gets stopped with a little bit of weed and gets more jail time than this dude trying to kill police officers. Ridiculous.

It was freaking Reagan, a Republican president, that signed laws into place in the 80s that basically made it to where life-long incarcerations were the only way to "solve" crime and that's why felons get away with this shit today, over crowded prisons and no reform or actual consequences
Thank you officers for your professionalism and patience.

If the police approached him as if they were going to help instead of trying to throw him in jail. He had no warrants and he asked to be helped WALKING HOME. He was not driving but yet you want to do a test to see if he is ok to drive? Smh law enforcement is terrible

Racist cops
Everything was fine up to the point where the cars engine revved, instead of stepping back to safety they took needless risks. Equally they should have had 2 cop cars in place to prevent this from happening (esp at signs of non-compliance) in the first place. Equally for a person who has access to sticks he seemed to be very sloppy in placement of them and not knowing where they are at all times, I understand they need tons of stuff but not having a rough idea where something as big and important as stop sticks?
That maneuver with the door was pretty slick ngl.
When you rolled up to him.
Knowing he was drunk.
Why didn't you place a cruiser in front and in the back of him.
To prevent this from happening.
He would have never noticed.
He needs to be locked up for awhile
Ah I remember those days when DA had balls and actually put criminals in prison.
He will go to prison. Those are his bond terms. Do you not know how the law works?
@@RJ-lg9hs I'm genuinely interested to know. Because i've seen low bonds like this on people just like this. is that just the "lets start here" kinda of bonds? Just like the original comment, just as i am im very upset that his bond is so low.
@@gotthiis The bond being low has no effect on his case. He didn't even go to trial yet, so holding him in jail only makes sense if you think he's a flight risk. You're innocent until proven guilty in the U.S. Bonds are a way to make sure that people don't flee the country because you'll get that money back when your case is over. You aren't getting that money back if you flee.
@@RJ-lg9hs First, it's important to note this is a signature bond, meaning he paid no money to bond out. All that was required is a signature. If he doesn't show then he can be sued for the $2000. Bonds are also determined based upon how much of a threat/danger you pose to the community. Given the fact he struck 3 people with his car, and drove 100 mph while intoxicated thereby putting anyone of the roads/nearby building in life threatening danger. Considering this, anybody would be able to determine he clearly poses a significant danger to the community upon being released. Likely, a conviction will not happen for at least 1 year, so he has an entire year to potentially repeat the same life threatening behavior until then.
@@pwalk9718 Why should bond be determined by how much of a threat you are? People with more money should be able to be let out with a higher danger to the community than with people who have less? No. It's flight risk. The higher the risk, the more someone should have to pay as collateral so they don't escape. And like I said, innocent until proven guilty. Holding people you haven't convicted of a crime is a bad system. People should be able to pay their way out until they go to court unless they are a mass murderer or completely mentally unstable. In those cases, they should be held without bond, not an increased bond. You shouldn't be able to pay for the opportunity to be a threat to the community. I don't honestly believe someone who tries to run from the cops is an immediate threat to the community. Yes, it's dangerous to do so and puts people's lives at risk. But it's not with malice against the public, but rather a selfish desire to escape. It's also pretty unlikely he'll reoffend in that amount of time depending on his record.
So you telling me him doing all that speeding 100mph running over police and he’s out on 2$ signature man people wonder why there families and friends get killed every day 😂 keep up the great work criminal Justice system
Judge and DA needs to be dragged out of office and tarred and feathered.

Everyone knows why.
You forgot that he hit the cops with his car which is a felony. But apparently this county/cities court doesn't really care about protecting their citizens.
A signature bond, wow
When he turned on the car "to keep warm" they should have jumped into action!
Great idea with the spike strips. Not so great idea leaving them on the curb and not under the car.
Yea, she seemed confused on where to put them when she was carrying them. I guess the curb kept her from sliding them in front of the back passenger tire but she could have walked around and put them in front of the driver's side rear tire.
Perhaps cops should stick a gps tracker on a car in these situations that way they dont even have to chase.
@@twoeightythreez The only problem is if it becomes standard procedure and people know about it, someone fleeing can just stop somewhere down the road and throw the gps tracker into a field somewhere and keep going.
@@rogersmith7808 plenty of room to slide that type of stop stick between the curb and car. Everyone forgets cost. Remember these people pay their salary (sarcasm). Some type of gps to throw on a car would cost money not only up front but some type of software cost as well. Im not monday morning quarterbacking these officers because i wasnt there just pointing out that if you are going to grab them use them.
