I think it’s totally worth it. Once I threw in a full furitek for the first time it was a game changer, and I also run the gt5 for everything. Great stuff
I got the trailer. Its fun.... BUT the hitch hangs way to low. Remove the fake spare tire. and drill a hole in the bumper. Then just use the ball on the bumper
Cool build! Yeah AliExpres has sweet brushed 180 and 370 motors again. I'm still on my SCX24 and gonna try a 52,000rpm 3s 370 motor on her. I did 180s and 370s on a WPL C24-1 and it was amazing for the price
@@sammyboswelldirtybrc7580 it’s the same bolt pattern as the stock motor. Same as the fcx. Should bolt straight up. I’d be interested to see how it runs. Very cool indeed! I want to build a more "comp-ish" TRX4M truck and this definitely points me in the right direction. Did you do an internal shock spring or simply run with no springs? Thanks.
Do you like these axles better than the FCX portals in any other way than the turning radius? Are the too small for this? It looks like a lot of clearance for straight axlex though. Did they put the bulk of the pumpkin in the back instead of bottom? I'm waiting on a Cayman almost RTR to arrive.
I’m not really a fan of these axles besides the turning radius honestly. They seem to have good clearance for a straight axle but I still snag the pumpkin a lot. I HATE how the steering links stick out like 20mm from the axle. I hit them on everything. I’m gonna fix that. The other negative atm is there are no parts to add any weight to them or overdrive. Not a huge deal but still sucks.
@@2fmrc Well I feel better now waiting ( back ordered and not shipped ) for my Cayman. The FCX24 portals are holding up well on my Power Wagon. Have you asked about overdrive portal gears for the fcx24?
Hey Mat! Another great Video my friend. wondering if you can help me out hear? I just recently got into the hobby, and purchased 3 scx24's, so i can crawl with my kids. Im getting so frustrated here lol
Have you checked the dual rate for the steering and throttle trim on the controller to make sure it didn’t get bumped or anything. Make sure the dual rate is turned up to get the most out of the steering and dial the throttle trim back a bit to keep it from pulling on its own.
