I agree! Superb editing. Made me replay it like 10 times. Really emphasizes the bizarre chances of Revan and HK reuniting, like finding a pet you lost as a kid lol. One of those rare occurrences of the force working through a droid.
Music a tad too overpowering/loud but ye, I agree.
It was such a Jolee thing to do to never bother mentioning that they were travelling with Revan to any of the others.

In fairness, the Council were just secrative dicks, but Jolee was... wait, wasn't he a hermit on Kashyyyk while Revan was blowing stuff up?? So he didn't really know and was just being sarcastic! Or maybe he read Bastilla's mind and found out. What a troll! XD
I named my most recent character "Actually Revan," which makes all of the dialogue in the game much more entertaining.

I just love the answer you give him when he tells you that he was supposed to recover his memory when you reunited with his old master and you're like "You mean...Revan ?" like the character is finally letting it sink it for the first time and they refused to really believe it up until now.

One is a twist about a character we've seen on screen for a few hours. This is a revelation about US. The person WE have been playing as for at least ten times as long.
I agree. I grew up watching the OT and would still get chills upon watching that part just from the memory of watching it for the first time. But this was a more impactful twist. In hindsight, Luke being Vader's son doesn't really change anything big. Sure it's a mindfuck but that's about it. And in some ways cheapen's their final interaction. As in Vader turning away from the darkside because he didn't want to murder his child, not because he still has good in his heart.
But this, us being Revan changes everything. The relationships, the dynamics, the interactions, the story, everything. It just twists the story upside down in such a clever way. I don't have the time to write it out on a yt comment but it's at least 3 pages long.

@@Yustax No he won't. He runs off if you go Dark Side. IF you have the restored content mod, he shows up at the end, tells you to kill Bastilla, and to just let the republic kill the both of you. He never gets corrupted.
I love how self aware the game is, admitting what’re the chances of Revan being the master of HK the whole time, the dialogue throughout this whole game is just ace

All right time out I just got this game maybe 24 hours ago and I just got to this part I don't know how nobody is talking about what Canderous just said but I literally shed the hottest tear when he said that he would follow us to the end no matter what it would be
I dont know why this was on my recommended.. But watching it made the nostalgia hit me hard in the face tearing up. The old republic characters each with their amazing personalities and the old republic music scores in the background that play and gradually rise momentum as those amazing storytelling dialogues unfold in front of them is a unique combination which brings a set of feelings that no matter how hard disney tries they will not accomplish it in a billion years with their trashy movies

I love this scene so much. It shows that despite what Revan had done, Revan’s friends were willing to let the past be the past as long as Revan continued down the path of the light. Now that’s a true friend. 1:18 And HK-47 3:51

The Ebon hawk has an awesome group of people. As a Sith, I viewed all my companions as servants first with their purpose being galactic domination.
HK-47 was the most loyal and Carth the least to that purpose. Problem with Carth was his absolute devotion to the Republic contrasted with HK's absolute devotion to his creator.
After HK, I'd place Canderous and Bastila as equal servants. Both of them capable of controlling vast amounts of people. The Mandalorians also rooted honour in combat which I can appreciate. Bastila had a force bond with Revan.
Juhani and Jolee, especially the latter, were replaceable. I personally prefer Traya's counsel over Jolee's nonsense. I prefer Visas over Juhani.
Zalbaar had a life debt but I'd free Khem Val to replace him as a shield and body guard. Mission was not completely useless but far less effective than Bao Dur whom I can turn to the darkside.
T3 is a droid and if HK can do everything T3 can, then the little can of nonsense should be ejected. I prefer Goto over T3. He can control other droids.

Pretty certain something happened on his last mission that disabled him, then the shop owner you purchase him from said he tinkered with him. So maybe the missing parts and functions along with faulty maintenance work contributed to the slow boot of whatever program was intended to recognise Revan.
I truly hope they make a movie about Revan
The games only flaw was they never did an expansion DLC (or a mod) adding more worlds to visit, could have been as simple as altering each star map quest so it took time to calculate, or just going somewhere to grab more/better supplies.....
Well, they added Yavin as a "DLC". Not the moon, just a orbital station around it, where you can buy some gears.
I named my character Darien Vathmar because it works as an anagram for "I Am Darth Revan", just like Tom Marvolo Riddle works as an anagram for "I Am Lord Voldemort".

Given the situation in gaming the past decade and few more years, this game sometimes seems a dream that didn't occur. Like imagining what the ideal Star Wars RPG could be, around 2000.
Despite games losing hardcore originality and creative direction, this game does exist and it was more than a game at the time. Don't play those horrible switch ports with half the sfx missing just OG xbox or pc.
Better than anything Disney (and Kathleen "The Force is Female" Kennedy) came up with so far and better than anything their talentless hacks they call writers/story group will come up with in the future! Blergh! I want the EU back, not this Disney Wars trash (it isn't Star Wars without the EU for me!)

Not being misogynistic or something like that but i prefer Revan being a Man (mostly because i am guy and it's hard for me to make or conceived a woman "avatar"...because i don"t want to make a woman avatar that is "me" and "loving" what i see...)
But cynical Carth and Revan(woman) romance is good... still prefer Bastila bitchiness and growing relation and maturity with Revan(man) and saving her from the darkside at the end ....
Kotor 1 companions are my favorites ... even if Zalbaar or T3-M4 don't talk much and Mission should have been a bit older...
And having Gizka pets everywhere in your ship is a dream come true for everybody...i never got them out of my ship even i could :)
