The part that hit me the most on first watch was Drax talking to the kids. You think he's gonna say something silly again or upset the kids more but instead reminds you that he was a father once. That underneath all the silliness and stupidity he's still a man who misses his family; but has found that happiness once again.
The only Marvel movie to ever make me cry. Rocket had the most traumatic backstory ever. The fact that "hurts" was his first word is just heartbreaking.
The first GOTG was my mom’s favorite comic book movie ever, sadly she passed away from cancer complications in 2015 at just 65 years old. What hooked her to the movie at first was the soundtrack of many of the songs she grew up on, but then she loved it so much that she became a fan of the MCU. It’s why this franchise has a very special place in my heart. So when Dog Days Are Over (ANOTHER favorite of mine and my mom’s) was playing and the Guardians were celebrating/moving on with their lives, I was a wreck. Not out of pain of loss, but of remembering the good times I had with my mom. As for the movie itself, it’s one of my top 10 favorite comic book movies ever, as well as an all time favorite. With a supervillain I have never wanted to kill more than The High Evolutionary. And I love that the song that was played to send off the Guardians Of The Galaxy was the first song we as the audience heard when we saw Peter in the opening titles of Vol 1. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go listen to Come And Get Your Love by Redbone!
dude i'm so sorry for your loss. i still have my mom but we live dangerously mentally. anxiety and depression and PTSD really hold us down and my mom talks about suicide all the time. Our lives have really sucked and its really getting to her. i hope it doesn't get too much to her to where she takes her life and i find her body ad i no longer have a mom. so i'm trying my best to enjoy the times we have together because i'm worried for me too but i'm trying to change. but yeah to sum this up i'm sorry for your loss i'm glad you connected with this movie on an emotional level. i did too. i have so many memories attached to all these marvel movies. i have very strong emotional connections to the first guardians movie. we've come a long way and done a lot and lost a lot and cried a lot. but we also laughed a lot danced a lot. smiled a lot. been happy a lot and before. we are here for them. let their memory live in you
This trilogy feels complete to me because of how a typical family would function. The first was about the formation of the family, 2nd is how a typical family would function especially siblings squabbles while the 3rd is when the siblings grow up and move on to their seperate ways and find their own paths. Of course, each movie has their own confined stories and character arcs but each one still portrays how a family function.
I love the small bit at the very end when Groot says "I love you guys". It's kind of subtle because presumably to most people who heard that it would still sound like "I am Groot", but since we as the audience have been through this long journey with Groot we finally reached a point where we can kind of understand what he actually said, much like the rest of the Guardians learned over time to understand him as well. So Groot didn't learn to speak English, we as the audience finally learned to understand Groot. 🙂
Really wish you kept in the part where High Evolutionary screams “There is no god! That’s why I stepped in!” It’s honestly one of the greatest villain lines in the MCU
Quill's arc was not getting the girl, it was growing up and accepting reality. James Gunn is so good because in pretty silly movies he keeps this emotional core with all his characters. Having them get back together would have been cheap movie logic, not what the character arcs were actually about. She is not the same Gamora and her own person. It would be kinda creepy power fantasy that she always has to fall for Quill and he is "supposed" to have her as his girl. Instead it is that he needs to accept his love died and that she is her own person with her own motivations and not there to serve as a replacement for his loss.
What "growing up"? And you're just showing a lot of ignorance because you want to do this whole "she's her own woman" garbage, ignoring that she herself chose Quill whp saved her from all of the pain she has inside of her, that was robbed of her via Thanos. Since you clearly care more about her in this situation, you should care about getting what she deserves from her arc, which would be Quill. She is the same Gamora, it's not like she grew up with different circumstances
This movie convinced me james gunn will do a phenomenal job writing and directing the new Superman legacy. Hes great at creating and balancing multiple characters, with strong emotional beats coupled with beautiful and striking visuals in terms of realistic looking cgi/vfx and cinematography. I think he might even give us the best Superman movie yet.
This was such a perfect ending to the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy that gives every character a satisfying arc and yet still leaves room for new members and new stories to be told. James Gunn is going to do phenomenal things with Superman
28:01 The name's Rocket..... Rocket Raccoon. Perhaps the most satisfying line in the trilogy. Also because of the painful journey that Rocket had to go through before that line.
Great reaction! But you guys cut some of the best scenes of the movie which go unnoticed quite often like Nebula reacting to Rocket's voice such a heartwarming and sweet scene. And even Mantis defending Drax against Nebula was touching as well, bringing them up to one of the best duos in MCU now
There’s couple of reasons for this…firstly on youtube you can only so much, so they have to carefully decide what all to show within the time limit. Secondly, they have their uncut reaction watchalong on patreon and yt memberships, so if they show all the good parts here, no one would go for their paid memberships, so this is a way of marketing their paid memberships.
I just love the little fact that everyone got their own hit when it came to the High Evolutionary. It's a very small thing, but I like to think that actually got their own second to deal him a small amount of pain that he dealt Rocket.
@@andrewgordon7662No it's not. The guy reacting (Jaby) did a reaction to Guardians of the Galaxy 3 HISHE video, and he said he watched the film. And that video was made 2 weeks ago.
This was actually great in IMAX 3D cause there where moments where James gun had the frame feel so up close and personal, it made the moments significantly more intimate.
I dont understand the issue jaby has with yondu murdering all those ravagers. Did he forget that they killed yondus men in cold blood? They were literally laughing and mocking them as they sent his men to die in cold space. You even see some of them begging to yondu to save them and hes helplessly sitting there tied up as he cant do anything. To make things worse he has to even witness them all die as all they bloat up and die in space. So yeah him killing them off is well earned and satisfying. Also dont forget they even tortured baby groot so screw those guys.
Might be that he didnt know that. Since EVERYONE except Yondu, Groot, and Rocket died, maybe the only thing they know upon finding the wreck is that the crew is dead with Yondu's arrow wounds.
I really enjoyed Will Poulter's performance as Adam Warlock. Obviously, it differs greatly from the comic book and the video game, but this version was birthed not that long ago, and was removed from his birthing chamber too early as well, so this version accurately portrays what that version of Adam Warlock would be like. No doubt, he will grow and mature with his new friends.
I love Star-Lord in this one. It became his mission to save Rocket the second he got hurt. He definitely felt like the Leader of the group here. I'm also extremely happy that Gamora and Star-Lord didn't go back together. It wasn't needed and would've felt forced, especially the fact that it didn't take Star-Lord a day to make Gamora like him. I know a lot of people hated that but as you said, people move on. She's not the same and that's ok.
I like this version of Adam Warlock better than the comics. I don't know his character super deeply from the comics but he is just always morally righteous, and unbeatable. He has that superman problem. This version, he keeps his Shakespearean-like prose, but he's super naïve. He starts as a bad guy, but doesn't feel right about what he's doing, so he gets to keep his morality. Conflicted by his internal goodness and the badness of the people who raised him. This version is much better than the space Jesus he is in the comics.

Jaby, I’m with you, I didn’t love the Beastie Boys during that fight scene either, but that was still the coolest part of the movie.
YAY! What a great movie! What a way to end this run of the Guardians team. I remember when the trailer came out and everyone thought Rocket or Drax would die but it was a great send off.
For someone who never quite liked the love story between Peter and Gamora, I was pleasantly surprised that the film didn't force the romance again. It fit the characters very nicely. Not perfect, but a great goodbye to this fantastic trilogy that James Gunn gave us! Feels good to watch a good MCU film again.

One of the things that’s so amazing about this movie is how emotional it makes you feel without actually killing any of the main characters, even though you keep thinking it’s gonna happen. And other than maybe the Star Lord one, none of the fake out deaths feel cheap, they really just add on. It’s all great

The fact that we can all understand Groot was the beautiful cherry on top... Hands down three of the best movies out of the entire MCU I don't care what anyone says James Gunn yet again saves another franchise lol and the way they progressively get better each time the 1st the 2nd and the 3rd is exactly what you want to see in a multi movie series. The soundtrack is next level the acting the writing is amazing the premise of the movie is great the comedy is on point the action is there the drama and the sadness everything you need in a movie series. Now out of all the MCU movies I would say these fit in the top 10 MCU movies that leaves only 7 others lol
@CinePals, 15:59 "He is one smart squirrel." Thanks for making me laugh, @Achara. Rocket gets called just about every animal he isn't by everyone who isn't Peter in the MCU, but you know, this is the first time I heard an audience member call him something that he isn't. This was an intense scene, so don't feel too bad about calling him a squirrel. A laugh was needed to help bring me out of this rather intense origin story.
Woah what! If I knew you guys haven’t watched this yet I would’ve waited for this to be my first guardians reaction. I love you guys so much. Can’t wait to see you guys watch this!
I can understand the end with gamora it would be just a fairytale ending if she hugged him or kissed him goodbye ir say she will see him again or went off him with she was different It was a past gamora or alternate version she only smiled When looking st quill once or twice
I heard somewhere that Gunn didn't know that in Avengers: Endgame they were going to switch Gamorra's character to one that doesn't know Quill, so in Vol. 3 Gunn had to deal with that.
So Tony’s death didn’t make you cry Or aunt may Or Peggy carter Or lokis Or black widows And captain America retiring didn’t make you cry none did to me but it was sad
Second comment. Ironically, the most dangerous thing about space is also why you wouldn't freeze without a helmet, at least not quickly. Since there is no air there is no medium for the heat to escape. The only way to cool off is by radiating heat, which is very inefficient (think hand next to candle vs hand over candle). The real danger would be posed by the lack of air/oxygen. A human could hold their breath for two or three minutes, but holding your breath would be deadly while the lack of pressure made the oxygen in your lungs expand. Your best bet would be to breath out, and then hope someone got to you before brain damage started to set in. Also, the radiation is space would deliver a lethal dose in minutes, though the person would live for a while they would not be able to replace old cells... the techical term for that is "bad". Wow, this got a lot more grim than I anticipated.
It was his grandfather and probably just gut feeling since he showed up at his house and Quill probably resembles the mother to some degree or he remembers what his grandson looked like as a kid and could recognize him even in adulthood. I wouldn't overthink it though 😅
Epic movie. My favorite Guardians movie. Though I loved the first one too, this topped it for me. It's definitely in my favorite top 5 Marvel movies, period.

The rocky scene at the end with the otter was so emotional even when it is predictaible
Ageeed! James Gunn’s BEST Film!!!
@CinePals,
15:59 "He is one smart squirrel."
Thanks for making me laugh, @Achara.
HES NOT A SQUIRREL HES A RAT
Lol😅
Gamora been party with the ravagers, adding a few hundred to her bodycount since Peter lol
The High Evolutionary isn't dead. Drax carried him out. He's their captive.
1:10 Yikes!!!! You're not wrong man! 😂💪
3:29 Yeah. Poor Rocket! 😔
I loved having angry Gamora back for this one. Definite highlight.
Woah what! If I knew you guys haven’t watched this yet I would’ve waited for this to be my first guardians reaction. I love you guys so much. Can’t wait to see you guys watch this!
god, rewatch this with all you know now and it will hit even harder😢
I love pimple popping vds! They're so satisfying when they do it correctly.
I'm not crying; You're Crying!" Such a heartfelt Marvel film!:)~
YAY!!!! Great idea, CinePals!!!! Let me go to get some pie so I can sit down and watch this!!!!
I could have sworn you guys saw this at the cinema ......
13:55 It’s even funnier when you know it was an ad lib by Chris Pratt.
12:37 She from 2014 remember, she never met the sovereign.
A song from the 70's made Jaby feel like it was the 80's
when groot said "i love you guys" only we heard it the guardians did not react since it was for us
I can understand the end with gamora it would be just a fairytale ending if she hugged him or kissed him goodbye ir say she will see him again or went off him with she was different It was a past gamora or alternate version she only smiled When looking st quill once or twice
The fact that "Huuurts" was Rocket's first word just destroys me every single time
I gotta say, it felt pretty damn good to hear Star Lord drop an F bomb😂😂. Legend lol
I loved the beastie boys song playing during the fight and beginning of the fight
I've been waiting for you to watch this movie. Because the pitch meaning is so damn good too.
I heard somewhere that Gunn didn't know that in Avengers: Endgame they were going to switch Gamorra's character to one that doesn't know Quill, so in Vol. 3 Gunn had to deal with that.
4:16 Understandable! 💪
One of my favorite Marvel movies. It had everything that i could ask for in a Guardians film. Definitely the best Marvel movie since Endgame.
Love this movie! It’s probably the only superhero movie that made me cry.
So Tony’s death didn’t make you cry
Or aunt may
Or Peggy carter
Or lokis
Or black widows
And captain America retiring didn’t make you cry none did to me but it was sad
Was waiting for this reactions, instant click.
I cry in certain movies but only few make me ugly cry which in this case this movie definitely did
16:25 does anyone know what jaby was referring to when he said it’s biblical?
Glad Achara and I had the same thought. How did Pete’s dad know it was him. 😂 Still a touching moment though.
It was his grandfather and probably just gut feeling since he showed up at his house and Quill probably resembles the mother to some degree or he remembers what his grandson looked like as a kid and could recognize him even in adulthood. I wouldn't overthink it though 😅
The 3 MOST emotional films in the history of Marvel are- Infinity War, Endgame, and Black Panther 2. Add this one to the list too.
I lost my mom when I was a kid I hope to see her one day and talk to her like rocket and lyla
You 2 are couples goals ❤ great reaction. I hope you 2 are actually a couple and not related 😂
I liked the look of the fight scene at the beginning
Epic movie. My favorite Guardians movie. Though I loved the first one too, this topped it for me. It's definitely in my favorite top 5 Marvel movies, period.
This might be Marvel's BEST movie.
My roommate and I saw this in theaters and busted out laughing when the animals jumped from ship to ship because a monkey straight up started ripping a woman's face off once it hopped over 😂
definition of dog days: the hottest period of the year (reckoned in antiquity from the heliacal rising of Sirius, the Dog Star).
a period of inactivity or sluggishness. so with that being the meaning, then the song is positive and upbeat lyrically. i dont know the song so im just going by the definitoin. if she's using it ironically or erroneously is on her
I pissed myself laughing at the guy dancing and all hell breaking lose behind him😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is the first fire MCU movie we’ve gotten in a while! 🔥👏🏼
Why does the ending always make me cry?!😭😭😭😭😭
No Kristen? She would have sobbed nonstop. :D
Ooh this is a very good one. Thanks for the vid
Rocket had Peter Parker trauma plus 10. This was one of the most beautiful marvel movies I’ve seen in a while
Please stop switching sides. Achara must be screen right. That's my good eye.
Why is it so hard to believe that this is their 1st time watching this movie lmao
Like come on now
"I hope it's not undercut by a joke"
*things said moments before disaster*
the thing i like the second line up of of the Guardians were all in the team at one stage event he little girl she is Phyla-Vel in the comics she is Mar-Vell's child
31:05 he went on Earth after the 1st GOTG I think
This is a bit off topic but have y'all considered watching and reacting to the Injustice 1 and 2 story campaigns?
The movie is Ok, could of been so good. Rockets story is the best part of the movie. Cool reaction though.
17:43 IT HAS BEGAN
I'm watching this reaction solely to see who will cry first.
I loved the movie but I think the first film is still stronger overall!
It's nice to have friends.
#ThankYouGuardians
So Knowhere has a big population of kids, a full animal ecosystem probably, and the guardians? They have their own little world inside that giant skull.
why does achara kirk seem so sad? Her eyes look sad idk what it is 0:01
