If your wondering about Adam Warlock (The Golden Guy), As the High Priestess said to High Evolutionary, he was taken out of his cocoon too early. Thus why he acts like a child and a bit confused. If Adam was fully matured from his cocoon, he would solo all without breaking a sweat. In the comics he even bodies Thanos alone, one of the strongest in the Marvel universe

What had me the most durring this movie was when Nebula said what they did to Rocket was worse than what Thanos did to her. Like damn if you think being tortured by the Mad Titan wasn’t as bad as Rocket’s backstory, then you really gotta feel for him. And it makes his drunk yelling in volume 1 so much more emotional knowing how Rocket was made
54:35 You're right about being able to stay in space for 30 seconds, but Peter isn't fully human. He may have lost his powers but his DNA would still be different. He also held the power stone and some other people who have encountered other stones have gotten powers from them. Either one of those things could have helped Peter last a bit longer than normal.
Should of watched the Christmas Special and you wouldn't be asking about the Dog You should react to all the show, please don't let the haters deture that. Your gonna be left with a lot of questions and be questioning some characters motives if you skip the shows.
I loved this movie man all the little things like for example rocket finding out he’s a raccoon and adopting his comic book name or drax finally dancing and rocket beating his creator by something that he created I nearly cryed in the theater or Peter nearly dying by the thing his mother left him before she died just showed so much emotion and the audience finally understanding groot talk basically saying that the audience has grown up to be a part of the guardians
I totally recommend you watch all the shows, some may seem childish but it's worth it. you will never understand anything in the mcu without any of the shows in the coming future.
A very good reason not to watch them. I shouldn't need to watch several hundred hours worth of TV shows just to understand a movie. Have you forgotten how good of a job the first Avengers movie did without a dozen supporting TV shows?
@@fluffernutter6633I gotta agree the Tv shows are a great way to expand the MCU and delve into exploring characters that just wouldn’t be able to get fleshed out enough in a movie however I go to a movie to watch a movie I don’t wanna watch every show marvel pumps out just to understand the plot of a two hour movie
You're in Phase 5 now. Started with Quantumania, then this and next Secret Invasion. Phase 4 ended with Wakanda Forever. The dog (Cosmo) has been in all the Guardians movies and the Holiday Special, which I'm assuming you skipped.
Cosmo first appeared as a cameo in Guardians 1, in the Collector’s collection. She then had more of a proper first appearance in the holiday special. Also, I highly recommend checking out the shows you skipped, even if just off-camera. Sure, some of them aren’t great, but they provide a ton of context for stuff going forward, and some of them are genuinely pretty good. Like, I personally loved Moon Knight, and Mrs. Marvel is vital to know about before watching the next movie that’s about to release, The Marvels. Even She-Hulk, for all the (deserved) hate it gets, was the first proper showing of Daredevil in the MCU outside of cameos. So as annoying as it is, if you’re planning to keep watching the MCU going forward with the necessary context, the shows are unskippable. Well, you could probably skip I Am Groot without issue. And maybe Werewolf By Night, hasn’t really been clear what’s gonna happen with that going forward, though it is genuinely decent. Maybe it’ll be important when Blade finally comes along, idk.
Secret Invasion flows into The Marvels movie coming in November. Ms. Marvel is also a big part of the story so, even if it’s not for your channel, you may be a bit lost without seeing them.. kinda like missing the Guardians’ Christmas special and not knowing who Cosmo the dog is or that Mantis is Peter’s sister. Cosmo was originally in Guardians volume one in The Collectors’ possession and remained on Knowhere and the special introduced her and her powers.
@@officialliamg2114you don’t see Lady G, or Mrs F as likely possible characters for The Marvels (and until the closing credits, I’ll be waiting for Quake)
Point taken. Nebula didn't even think to ask Drax what he knew she just assumed he didn't know anything. Drax saw Ronan from the first movie kill his daughter that was just as young and happy as the girl in the cage and laughed as she cried and begged for her life. That was the saddness he carried inside him that Mantis was yelling to Nebula about Mantis has actually felt that pain and the love he had and lost.
Nebula & Rocket were the only two Guardians left after Thanos's snap for 5 years... So she showed some emotion (something she hardly does) when she heard his voice
You really should not miss out the Marvel shows as they will have characters that crop up in future films. Same with Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon & The Winter Soldier and etc
44:05 Adam is still going after Rocket even after High Evolutionary killed Adam's mom because High Evolutionary also threatened to kill all his people. Protecting them is what his mom would have wanted... And no she was nowhere near as strong as him. Their people are each made to fit a role, she was for politics and he was made for power.
This is not phase 4. Phase 4 ended with Wakanda Forever. This is the second film of Phase 5. Also, the final screen declaring Star-lord will return is because he's the only one that they seem to know will have any interest in returning to play his character again from the characters who split off from the guardians. The actors that played Drax and Gamora have said definitively that they have no interest in returning any more (especially since James Gunn is now with DC). Though Gamoras actor, Zoe Saldana did say that she would be happy to see the character being recast and continuing her story. I would wager that if we see the Guardians in another solo film that it will be quite some time from now and it will only be the ones we saw with Rocket in the mid-credit scene. At least after Avengers: Kang Dynasty.
Between when thanos dusted everyone and the Avengers bringing them back, the only guardians that existed were Rocket and Nebula. So there was like 3-4 years where they were all they had and they became SUPER close. And groot speaking was meant to suggest that YOU now understand him.
43:03 my guy… you’re not seriously asking that are you? Up and down are relative terms when it comes to space travel. If the Earth was flipped over the poles were reversed, we would just call what used to be the south pole north, and what used to be the north pole South, so you’d be going up still in that situation, but going down when compared to our regular perspective. In other words there is no down. Or up. Only directions.
The thing about Nebula crying when she hears Rocket is okay is that her and Rocket were the only two Guardians left during the Blip so they're really close friends and in the Guardians Holiday Special she even gifted Winter Soldier/Bucky's Metal Arm to Rocket for Christmas since he wanted it so badly. Edit: The Guardians should also be returning, but "The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return" is more just joking about how Quill in Guardians 1 had to keep correcting people that either didn't know his name or said something like "Star-Prince", but now he's notorious throughout the galaxy. However, they should all be returning, including The Legendary Star-Lord. Maybe not Drax or Nebula though unless they really need them in the story or just want to have the actors come back for something.

My one issue with this one is that we didn't see how Rocket met Groot for some reason. I also don't understand why the memories of the original Gamorra didn't transfer to past Gamorra when the timeline got fixed. You'd think that would have happened.
8:00 That Golden Guy your talking about is called Adam Warlock, He once in the Comics beated Thanos on that, and yeah he is really strong he's basically like the Marvel version of Superman
Unfortunately, due to the Gunn firing and rehiring, Thor happened before this film instead of after, cause there is no doubt we would have got Thor vs Adam Warlock.
Yeah... you needed to watch the Christmas special to be introduced to the dog. Also, with the question about what's "down" relative to the earth makes no sense. Australians aren't upside down, up and down is relative. You know the earth isn't flat, right?
I haven’t been so emotional during a movie since like titanic or cast away. this sht had me emotional like the WHOLE TIME. absolutely ridiculous. This is what you fcking call cinema.
"The story has been yours all along. You just didn't know it." Hits me in the feels every time. Guardians 1 and 1 has been building up to this one. The story has always been about Rocket.
Peter survived being in space for a short period of time because he is half-celestial. Groot's form in the mid-credit scene was how Groot looked when he first appeared in the comics.
The reason why Peter didn’t die, my guess, is that because he is half celestial maybe that gives him more resitance to space conditions or just general resistance.
When the 1st Guardians Of The Galaxy film came out I had little expectations when I went to see it since they were the Marvel characters I knew the least about prior to seeing them on the big screen. I ended up loving the 1st film, the 2nd film, & the 3rd film so much that to me it's the overall best/most consistent movie trilogy Marvel has made. I'd say my only complaint with this film is (similar with Darren Cross becoming M.O.D.O.K. then trying to redeem himself) Adam Warlock's development/redemption felt rushed; he was set up as this big threat, then he was comic relief, then confused about what he wanted after his mom died, & then he saves Star Lord & joined the Guardians at the end.
Yeah, Ratcatcher and Ura is the red girl they take hostage and Peter flirts with for those who don't know. Kwol who Gamora shot in the leg is played by James Gunn's wife who is also in Suicide Squad and other DC projects as Emilia Harcourt
You can survive for about 5 minutes without breathing. The reason you die so quickly in the vacuum of space is the freezing and expansion of air. You can survive longer in a vacuum by exhaling because there is less air in your body to expand. So, holding your breath in space is actually a bad idea. Plus, you can survive for up to 90 seconds, and that was definitely not 90 seconds.
It's possible the Guardians will return in some form, they might show up here and there. But, for now, at least, this is the end of the team starring as the lead in projects. And when you consider that all of the main cast refused to work on GOTG3 unless James Gunn was re-hired to oversee, write and direct it, and with Gunn now occupied for the next 5-ish years because of his DC obligations, this makes sense.
Don you may not know but there’s a Gaurdians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, a short movie that takes place before this, which is also on disney plus. it’s still worth a watch and would probably clear up the confusion.
43:19 so like from my understanding of what space is i think the majority of matter is relatively plated out. Like our solar system for sure. But all of space is expanding from i guess some point of origin? But at differing rates across different degrees. Id imagine we mainly just go off of what we can see and point to
Groot didn't say more than "I am groot" you are finally a part of the family, thus are able to understand him. to everyone else who isn't a part of the family, they still hear "I am groot"
Just like with the dog Cosmo The Black Widow movie introduces a new Black Widow and ties into the Hawkeye series if you'd planned to watch that. These movies continue to tie in to each other just like phase one did.
Anyone else completely confused by “why do rockets always go up… like, what if they went out of earth and went down, like how far would it go?” If he means what i think he means then he has no concept of the fact that space goes in all directions and gravity isnt a thing there
I think the confusion is largely due to the fact that a lot of space shit is portrayed in a horizontal sense to help simplify it for readers to digest. It's still an interesting question though. It you took one point in the Earth's revolution of the sun, lined up with the South Pole, and then followed that line on and on(regardless of Earth moving elsewhere), what would be in that "direction"? I sure as hell don't know.
@@Sassaparilla Since the Universe expands (potentially) infinitely in every possible direction, you would eventually reach another galaxy. It doesn't matter which direction you go, you will find more of the same outside our galaxy everywhere. However, every galaxy is different from each other in terms of size, shape, amount of celestial objects, etc.
@@MichaelZimmerman-zl8zz that doesn't really answer the question I'm asking. What you've stated is the obvious, most simple answer. I want to know what galaxies, what stars are closest, how many moons are there for the planets, how far is it in that direction. But nobody really refers to the direction relative to earth on where the named places we know are. People just say "yeah sun 224 is a thing" or whatever and end it at that.
There is no "up" in space, up is relative to earth (for us) and no matter how you leave earth, it will always be up... I guess the closest you could get would be a new Zealander taking off on a space mission in America. But even then that astronaut would be traveling across the earth, then taking off upward
The reason it says Star Lord will return is because this was the last time we would see all of the ogs as most of the actors/actresses are no longer playing there characters
"where did they get all the rocks from" ummmmm theyre in the middle of the street, surely you can find all kinda rocks laying around in the grass lol. Also it said Star Lord will return because this wads the end of THIS iteration of Guardians of the Galaxy, the Guardians will be back but itll be a whole new team
My view on Secret Invasion and the other Marvel properties that people may say to avoid. I say watch it. I'll watch anything Marvel. That being said, the re-watchability may be really low. Watch it, form your own opinion, then go from there.
So basically you’re letting other’s opinion impact your watching experience? Like if you spent this long watching all the Marvel movies you should just watch everything at this point. Like you watched captain marvel but won’t watch blackwidow 😂 like that’s genuinely such a crazy thing
You really do need to watch Black Widow. It is important to the story going forward. Several characters are introduced that are going to be important later on. It’s not necessarily all about Natasha.
I liked this but you should have watched that Christmas special. You are gunna be left with a bunch of questions moving forward if you keep skipping stuff. Falcon and the Winter Solider isn't important now but it could be important to watch before the new Captain America movie. Since people are already telling you this (and your probably wont go back and watch it), the short summary is that Cosmo is a telekinesis doggo and everybody saying ew to Mantis touching Peter in a weird way is valid cause they are siblings. Also how does one mistake a baby raccoon for a baby lion. Like seriously lmao..... 6:39 The medbay was destroyed.
Excellent reaction, but with the lineup of future Marvel films, I’d strongly recommend watching the tv shows, there’s a shit-tonne of new characters that will be massive in the films, in each and every one of them. Especially if you’re wanting the holes filled in for where the dog came from and Mantis’s relationship to Peter, the Christmas special from last year fills in a lot of gaps. The one-off Werewolf By Night wasn’t the usual Marvel style they did it visually in the style of the old monster movies from the 50’s but the script is a little bit more modern I’ve enjoyed all the shows. There’s also the Defenders Saga (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders (DD s1, JJ s1, LC s1, IF, s1, DD s2, Punisher S1, Defenders, JJ s2, IF s2, LC s2, DD s3, Punisher s2, JJ s3 in case you wondered about the order)
All right, I got a lot of criticisms and I would really appreciate if you would read this. You need to watch every single marvel property that’s currently in the MCU. You can’t skip over a lot of stuff and then ask questions later of who is this and who is that… if you would watch the shows even off camera then maybe you would have a little bit of context as to who the dog was, or going forward, who Kate Bishop is, who she hulk is, to see daredevil for the first time in the MCU, get to learn who moon knight is, there’s a lot of characters that you’re missing out on that when you watch the movies going forward you’re gonna be questioning a lot of shit… and that all could’ve been avoided if you would just watch the shows. don’t let haters deter you from watching and getting context into things that you might be genuinely curious about. It’s cool to see you go through this journey and watching all the marvel movies and what not but you’ve skipped some major information going forward. And not to mention the Hawkeye show has kingpin in it and it’s a pretty important thing moving forward too 💁🏻♂️

You can survive longer in a vacuum by exhaling because there is less air in your body to expand. So, holding your breath in space is actually a bad idea. Plus, you can survive for up to 90 seconds, and that was definitely not 90 seconds.
he said lighting not lion just his strong accent 'lighin' sounds like lion
@@thomasaumend9439Okay, now I hear it.
Id imagine we mainly just go off of what we can see and point to
43:03 the earth is round and we do go down to answer ur question.
Groot didn't say more than "I am groot" you are finally a part of the family, thus are able to understand him. to everyone else who isn't a part of the family, they still hear "I am groot"
I was so happy seeing Nathan Fillion in this movie
I like "The Rookie" show & John Nolan in that series
ant man was the start of phase 5 btw, so guardians 3 is also phase 5
FINALLY LETS GO THE BEST OUT OF THE 3
rip those that didn't watch the holiday special
Just like with the dog Cosmo The Black Widow movie introduces a new Black Widow and ties into the Hawkeye series if you'd planned to watch that. These movies continue to tie in to each other just like phase one did.
His name is Adam Warlock
Anyone else completely confused by “why do rockets always go up… like, what if they went out of earth and went down, like how far would it go?”
If he means what i think he means then he has no concept of the fact that space goes in all directions and gravity isnt a thing there
I think the confusion is largely due to the fact that a lot of space shit is portrayed in a horizontal sense to help simplify it for readers to digest.
Holding your breath in a vacuum is quite possibly the worst thing you could do btw. It’d make your body just explode instead of frosting over.
Just what i needed. To cry on a monday 🤣😭🫡
U missed Holiday Special
There is no "up" in space, up is relative to earth (for us) and no matter how you leave earth, it will always be up... I guess the closest you could get would be a new Zealander taking off on a space mission in America. But even then that astronaut would be traveling across the earth, then taking off upward
Here I am tearing up 😢 the Don just grunts at me 😶
NEBULA IS MORE EMOTIONAL WHEN SHE FOUND OUT THAT ROCKET IS ALIVE BECAUSE THEY'VE BEEN TOGETHER FOR FIVE YEARS DURING THE BLIP.
Word of advice for what you said when Quill went into space, DO NOT hold your breath, exhale everything or your lungs will explode.
Question why didn't Gamora go back to her own time or why isnt she dead because Ironman snapped everyone who was with Thanos away? 🫤🤷🏽♂️
I'm guessing you skipped the holiday special as well.
The reason it says Star Lord will return is because this was the last time we would see all of the ogs as most of the actors/actresses are no longer playing there characters
57:42 awww 🥲damn
"where did they get all the rocks from" ummmmm theyre in the middle of the street, surely you can find all kinda rocks laying around in the grass lol. Also it said Star Lord will return because this wads the end of THIS iteration of Guardians of the Galaxy, the Guardians will be back but itll be a whole new team
I’ve never heard someone say “I’m not gonna lie” so many times as a part of their speech
Secret invasion was dope review that shit haha
Peter been part human and part eternal makes him a bit more superior that’s why he survived that time in open space
I really liked moon knight and ms marvel! ms marvel is also a main character in the next marvel movie so maybe check it out
Can you watch the maze runner please or moon night series??
Love your videos keep up the good work man
this movie was incredibly so sad !!
For the next movie, you should react to Ms Marvel. It introduces an important character
100% watch black widow Tom, also watch the shows but if you REALLY dont want to watch all of them, at least watch moon night if you havent already
My view on Secret Invasion and the other Marvel properties that people may say to avoid. I say watch it. I'll watch anything Marvel. That being said, the re-watchability may be really low. Watch it, form your own opinion, then go from there.
You actually need to watch gotg Christmas special before watching this
you should have watched the holiday special
So basically you’re letting other’s opinion impact your watching experience? Like if you spent this long watching all the Marvel movies you should just watch everything at this point. Like you watched captain marvel but won’t watch blackwidow 😂 like that’s genuinely such a crazy thing
You really do need to watch Black Widow. It is important to the story going forward. Several characters are introduced that are going to be important later on. It’s not necessarily all about Natasha.
, just watch everything & make your own opinion.
the dog came in GOTG Holiday special
I just realized Groot was super skinny after regrowing from just his head. Hilarious little detail🤣🤣🤣
You should watch the guardians of the galaxy Christmas special, it shows a little bit of a bridge between thor and guardians 3
They got the dog in the holiday special
You should watch falcon and the winter soldier too it doesn’t get the credit it deserves
Baby rocket was so cute.
Please do secret invasion and the other shows if you’re planning on watching the new movies coming out
Excellent reaction, but with the lineup of future Marvel films, I’d strongly recommend watching the tv shows, there’s a shit-tonne of new characters that will be massive in the films, in each and every one of them. Especially if you’re wanting the holes filled in for where the dog came from and Mantis’s relationship to Peter, the Christmas special from last year fills in a lot of gaps. The one-off Werewolf By Night wasn’t the usual Marvel style they did it visually in the style of the old monster movies from the 50’s but the script is a little bit more modern
I’ve enjoyed all the shows.
The open the f door part got me dying laughing
