Jaby & Steph are back with another reaction to squeal of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance a film that still provides the perfect star for this role, Nicolas Cage (also known for other films such as Face/Off, Con Air, Kick-Ass and another Marvel film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse).
This film also stars Idris Elba (Thor (2011) & The Suicide Squad (2021), Violante Placido (The American (2010)), Johnny Whitworth (Limitless & The Rainmaker), Christopher Lambert (Highlander (1986) & Mortal Kombat (1995), Ciarán Hinds (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 & Belfast) & Fergus Riordan.

the cgi of the ghost rider is literally top tier
exactly! , the way his bike and overall appearance is burnt to a crisp and his outfit is melting and bubbling in heat is just peak ghost rider design, don't get me wrong the classic comic book design of the first one is nostalgic and so good, but if i'm gonna choose, this design does it for me, it looks much more demonic without being too out there.
This version of the ghost rider was more of an animalistic creature than a bounty hunter like in the first movie. I generally liked the design and the mannerisms. You get the feeling that the ghost rider is a force of nature rather than a sentient being
And the budget was ONLY $57 mill...can you believe it? Went on to make almost $ 150 mill.
This sequel was so much more fun than the original. It was a shame it didn't do better at the box office.

Despite the film not doing that well at the box office, i absolutely adored it. Nicolas Cage's acting is damn phenomenal as it often is and the effects are really cool, miles better than the first film. Ghost Rider's visual appearance was so well done.

Just watching how giddy Jaby got with this movie was amazing.
In the comics Danny Ketch, which is the character played by the kid in the film, is actually the Ghost Rider after Johnny Blaze in the comics only he has a much different backstory and is actually Johnny Blaze's long-lost younger brother.
Is he ketch though? I don't remember they said his surname in the film, nor does imdb. Maybe they paid homage to ketch by giving his 1st name to a new character.

This directing duo is cheesy and frenetic as hell. But you can't deny they have a unique voice in their filmmaking styles. Which is sorely missed in a time of similar, cookie-cutter, bland cgi glopfests we have for about 85% of blockbusters today.
One reason why this film was not that highly accepted by the audience was ,it is simply trippy asf.
It's crazy the effects in this movie are lottt better than what we got in crappy CGI finale for The Flash movie.
This movie has some good scenes, and Nicholas cage, and Idris Elba were great.
Watching you guys react to this movie and then Jaby saying "I'm Castor Troy" that's precisely what I was thinking at that exact moment when he said it. hilarious🤣This movie by the way is absolutely classic Nicholas Cage. I don't know if another person could have actually played this role like him underrated movie really. I actually enjoyed this one more than I enjoyed the first one!

8:10 Not really jaby, an average movie from a decade back looks like a masterpiece now. This shows much how much creative and competitive people were from 1990s-2010. We belong to a gen which lacks both hardwork and creativity and only reboots older ideas/creations in the worst possible form just to show their mediocrity and lack of vision

This is the first movie I saw in 3D in theatres.
That was Nic Cage doing the principal shots as The Rider. He even went so far as to wear white makeup and a light apparatus around his head. He freaked the crew out with his behavior in makeup.

The second you started talking about the Sin City trailer music I IMMEDIATELY knew you were tlaminf about Cells by The Servants. I loved that song and listened to it all the time back in the day. I was hoping it was even in the Sin City soundtrack too but it wasn't lol

The javelin arms itself mid flight after stage 2 launch, its for safety reasons incase the launcher has a failure and it just falls out of the end keeping it from detonation after a failed launch.

I would love a sequel with Ghost Rider and Blade with Cage and Snipes reprising their roles. But I understand they are old and it would be taxing for them to do the stunts with the same tempo. Just wishful thinking I guess.

Steph was born in 1993, which makes her a 2000's kid. At Age 0-7 eras do not imprint on you. It's ages 7-12 (still kid age) when you are even old enough to remember the things around you. Which is why as someone born in 1983 i am a 90's kid and love all things 90's that i was old enough to watch the movies coming out in the 90's and hear the songs coming out then. I dressed as those styles clothes. I do not remember the 80's vibes one ioda. Even though now at 39 i know what they are by being old and wise. But the 90's i remember like the back of my hand.
Anyways glad i could wake you to the realities of life and how things go.
Lastly i will add if born in 1993, most of those last 7 years before 2000 you were a baby, infant, toddler before you turned into a kid. Which would have started at the turn of the century. So either way i am correct.

*okay im a huge movie buff [figuratively and literally, heh!😅] but Sin City is still my favorite movie of all time!!!! ive loved films and cinema since i was a youngen and im now 35, so ive seen hundreds-- if not thousands-- of movies thus far... but it just holds a special place in my heart/mind! i think that Frank Miller really did an outstanding job with the graphic novels and coming together with R.R was just beyond magical!! but, as sad as it is, and as much as i wish this were not the truth: there truly just are no other movies like Sin City!! it would be great if there were more movies that took inspo from it, though.. or it would be even better if Rodriguez made more movies like those again!! i guess Planet Terror is somewhat similar, maybe? but nothing comes close to the glory that is Sin City!!!! although, the visuals in this were fkn badass and super unique! i really enjoyed this sequel and i agree with Jaby; watching this one was more enjoyable and entertaining for sure!!! thank you all for everything you guys do!!* 🙌🙌 🙏🙏🙏 🤗
