My opinion: The whole - problems with the manufacture of the bezel is utter horseshit - 1) they already produicing it for a decade and figured it already out, 2) thousands of chinese clone makers are continuing to pump out these ceramic bezels without issues. It's made up. Maybe they reduce production - fine, but not for the bezel reason.
You’re missing the whole point of a Rolex watch, the junk copy watches bezels are just that junk. Rolex uses one piece of ceramic and dyes it seamlessly without colour bleed or imperfections. Junk use either two separate pieces glued together or cheap dye methods that have no durability or longevity thus defeating the whole professional manufacturing process Rolex use.
@@f1shf1ngers24 i think you misunderstood my comment. I hate fakes, I was referring to manufacturing problems being a fake rumor, as I believe Rolex doesn’t suddenly have problems after years of producing that very same bezel.
Thank you for the video, the GMT Master II is a distant dream for me. It's been almost 2 years and I am still waiting for a Date Just 41 in Steel from the Rolex AD. It's frustrating that a simple Date Just 41 is taking soo long to be fullfilled.
I’ve been waiting for a Fluted Bi-Metal 36mm DateJust for 10 months now and they said 6 months to 2 years so hopefully I’m nearly there on the wait as I have multiple watches from them and I get them to confirm all my watch orders.
Hi Jessica. I enjoyed the video, I guess we never know what Rolex will do. No one really does, however the ADs I talked to all told me they didn’t get a single BLRO in stock all 2023. There is a shortage of them, at least getting them in stock. I could see Rolex dropping the SS version and keeping the WG BLRO in production…. I was lucky to get mine a few years ago. Cheers
The Rolex boutique at Martin Place, Sydney totally ignored me last time I went. Seriously, I can’t even imagine how a regular person could ever buy a new steel sports Rolex. It’s like they don’t want your business (which they probably don’t as they have plenty of customers with multiple purchase history who are way in front of the line). I’d just rather not play that game tbh. If I have the cash, I’d like to be given the right to buy.
I've also had a bad experience at that store. I agree, they probably have more than enough clients, but they are still in the customer service industry so they shouldn't be so upity.
Thank you for the video. Have you noticed that Rolex already removed Pepsi from their GMT intro video. I can only recommend what I did. If you love the watch, go grey market. There you will find more options. You can choose between jubilee and oyster bracelet, stickered or non-stickered, and most importantly with white hang tag. Something AD’s will never offer you. Even if the price will drop any further, I don’t think it would be 20% or more. I hope you get my point.
Oh I totally get your point. My wife is telling me to do that too. Sadly I might end up there. I'm holding out a little hope for retail, I mean, one can dream right!
@@AussieWristWatch you can always sell one in case you end up with two watches. Also AD can’t beat the grey market when it comes to full set. I am talking about stickers and white hang tag.
I had heard this rumor as well and asked my AD. He said their Rolex Rep said it was not going to be discontinued but production would be reduced quite a bit. I was able to pick up a Pepsi when it was first re-introduced. I absolutely love it. I had a 16710 and sold it once I picked up the new iteration. My suggestion is to get one from the grey market, maybe trade in a watch or 2 to offset the cost. Keep you name on the list with AD's for one as well. If you ever get the call, you can always sell one and make some of your money back if not all depending on prices at that point.
You have a batman and you would really pay so much money just for a different color? Like would you pay this price for the redundency if the pepsi didn't carry an aftermarket premium and actually depreciated?
My AD told me in 2022 they got 32 Pepsi GMT’s,this year it’s 6 so far. Now,I’m not on a list for a GMT, I was told this while picking up another piece altogether and wasn’t even discussing the Pepsi, just availability in general.
Wow, such patience. I think waiting is fine, but it would be nice if they just had a system where it was clearly 5 years waitlist and then you knew you would get it. I could live with that.
IMHO, something is up with the Pepsi.. They just changed the bezel on the Kermit and maybe a different bezel color could be up for the Pepsi.. The AD’s that I know haven’t received a Pepsi since spring..Maybe discontinued or maybe MK III
I’d say the Pepsi will likely be discontinued…but when? None of us know, haha! What Rolex has planned can typically surprise us watch enthusiasts. It’s just funny how these rumors start. Have you strongly considered buying a Pepsi on the secondary market, especially if you desire it so much? Would you consider a 16710? Those are beautiful in my opinion. Like you said, I can totally see ADs being more selective on who they allocate these models to, given the decrease in production. ☹️ Good luck to us all 🍀
I dont buy the Pepsi bezel story. I also dont believe it will be discontinued. Rolex is playing a dangerous game with customers as people are spending their Rolex money over at Omega or anywhere else they fancy.
Not a versatile watch so they can discontinue it no problem nothing will change. People dont pay 20k now , will they pay 30k when discontinued ? I dont think so. Rolex rumors rolex bad strategies again
Rolex is the perfect watch to separate fools from their money, but i must say, I'm impressed by the brilliant marketing techniques Rolex uses to manipulate and spoon feed attention seeking ego's, an intelligent person would seriously be looking at a Zenith El Primero ….. just saying.

It costs £75 for a pepsi bezel from an AD, but they wont sell you one unless you own a pepsi, something hard to produce doesnt cost £75 pounds

Great intel! They definitely seem scarce.
Jenni Elle has a video on this and there’s some interesting information based on some insider info. More speculation but interesting.

Let's be real, if it's "discontinued", it's just so that they can release an updated version soon enough of it at a presumed premium.
