love your channel mate, came a long way. However I think when it comes to the skydweller. I think that you missed out something crucial, and that is that skydweller wearers also want this model because it has the most complicated movement that Rolex make... something I feel that also applies to what you mentioned before about the white gold sub ,that only people who know about the industry and the horology of watches will recognize and appreciate :) loved the video though :)
Many years ago I was wearing my stainless Datejust and I was with a customer. I noticed he was wearing a watch like mine silver in colour. Then I noticed it had the day aperture on it which I didn’t realise you could get. Later I discovered that the day aperture was only available on the white gold version, the Day date.
One of your best videos Charlie. Liked how you described watch with individual 👍I’m a S&G buyer generally. Not too flashy but love the combination especially on Jubilee bracelet. In last month+ bought M126231-0023 and M126713grnr-0001. Big fan of Oyster-flex Daytonas also and Skydwellers
Wife bought her 1st Rolex from AD. 31mm two tone yellow gold on jubilee with diamond bezel. Watch looks discrete indoors under low light, but in the sun or bright lights it’s very noticeable. Great channel BTW!!!
This is the best video I have seen on the range of Rolex watches, this is a classic video . Thanks for such great narration. I found it to be very informative and interesting
My only luxury watch is a Datejust with full jubilee bracelet and a fluted bezel. I've worn it daily for over 15 years and love it! It obviously looks great for weekend/evening wear, but I love it so much that I wear it any other chance I get too.
That’s so amazing to hear mate! You clearly have a real connection to that watch! Wear it and enjoy it, that’s what owning a luxury timepiece is all about! 🙌🏻💯
Really interesting take on the types of Rolex buyers. I noticed that you didn't mention the Yacht-Master Blue & Rhodium (40 & 37mm) dial versions. I personally consider them amongst the most stunning and under-rated models in the Rolex catalogue.

Proud to have a Blusey as my first watch from my AD as a 30th present to myself; stunning. I really want a Wimbledon and an OP 41 celebration to complete my perfect trio. Then if I’m greedy I’d like a motif datejust, a Sub no date, and one day a Daytona Panda or white gold.
Bought my first Rolex this past June… 2005 Bluesy and a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Lady Date with Diamond bezel for my wife …then went on to buy the 2023 Datejust with Mint green dial fluted bezel and oyster bracelet in July. August was a 2017 Datejust in white gold with a Rhodium dial and Jubilee bracelet. September was a 2023 Yachtmaster, October was a 2010 Polar White Explorer II (which was the one I went to buy to begin with back in June), and November was a 2008 Milgauss with a white dial …. The one that started it all for me, as far as buying a Rolex was concerned, but I never pulled the trigger on buying …. Went a little bit ham this year 😳
Maybe an idea for a future video, but it would be cool to do a video where you try on different models and dials to see how they look on camera. The Pikachu always looks great, but other model and dial variations would be cool to see as well
So pretty much everyone that buys any of them is doing pretty well in life. Lol. I have the datejust w smooth bezel (but I also have a wg fluted bezel if I wanna switch out for more classy look.) and a day date. The datejust is def the more everyday pending if I'm wearing wg chain. And the day date is when I'm wearing my yg chain more on dressy occasions. I wear the datejust also if I'm driving the cayanne turbo. Then the daydate when driving the 911 turbo.
What about the 116520? It breaks my heart how the ceramic Daytona has completely taken over and now the steel bezel is looked down upon, despite the fact that for decades it was the absolute darling of the collection, with buyers willing to wait years and years for an opportunity to buy one. I dived offshore for 22 years and the watch was my treat to my self, and now I'm looking at a GMT Pepsi jubilee for its collectability. lol... that's too funny. Good Job.
Haha so glad you liked it mate! Really appreciate you watching. Congratulations on getting the Sea-Dweller and using it for diving! Best of luck with the Pepsi, really stunning watch 👌
Nice video Charlie. What would you recommend for a young professional? I like full yellow gold watches that I can wear both formally and casually. Thanks!
I’ve got a no date sub and am looking for a second watch. Does the 39MM white dial OP fit for a dressy/weekend watch? The white Daytona is a grail but I can’t pull the trigger on that one just yet.
Personally I’d consider the white dial sportier, but presumably dressier than a Sub. It really depends on how dressy you want it to be. In the end it’s still a steel oyster bracelet watch and will be less dressy than a million other options on a leather strap. Still a nice watch though!
Great video updates, quick one for you when you mentioned about people who store watches. Would you recommend using watch winders if a watch is kept for long term consideration?
Thank you mate, I really appreciate it! Yes so definitely use them, but don't keep the watch on them constantly as it will count as wear on the movement. 👍
Hey Charlie, I'm just wondering what would be a good watch going into college. Could you help me with narrowing down the options? I am thinking of either the explorer 2, black sub, or a dayjust smooth bezel with an oyster bracelet.
Any tips for going to an AD and #1 choice is a blue skydweller? Determined that’s my #1 that I really want but know it’s very sought after as well and don’t want to get laughed out of the AD. thanks
Yes so with this being such a highly sought after model, it would be unlikely you will be able to get this model as your first watch. You may have to build a relationship and buy a few other less desirable pieces to get offered this one down the line. I hope this helps! 🙌
@@thehonestwatchdealeryea i mean i get it. It’s just a huge turn off honestly when I know people are just looking to get it to flip it and make money.I got 16k saved, have 0 interest in flipping it and want to keep it for life so it just sucks to “lose” out to people who potentially are just buying it to flip it. Im a Penn State alumni and yankee fan so a blue sky is my perfect watch. What’s your best estimated wait time on a blue dj 41, fluted jubilee? That imo is the closest to a blue sky dweller so i would potentially go for that too.
@@richardgalyajr.7838 yes it is unfortunate however I’m afraid that’s the way the ADs do things. The DJ would be easier to get than the Sky, however still quite difficult. Wait times would all depend on your AD so you would have to have a chat with them!
Sub Bluesy as daily? Interesting. I really like them, but a little ostentatious for a daily IMO. I can definitely see it as a more dressy occasional option.
I would like to wear a Rolex at my wedding, and at first was thinking about a full yellow or white gold. Do you have any tips for this sort of occasion? It can be any model or material too.
Hi Charlie, you're absolutely the go to pro dealer for the no nonsense bull for genuine aficionados of the rolex brand and current market availability..... WYSIWYG and keep this going Charlie as TRUE watch people appreciate your style and not the AD line which we all know is total Fugazi Well Done👍 Chris
Thank you Charlie for this! Would love you opinion on the “palm motif” for the Datejust. For myself, 33 year old guy, self employed farmer. First Rolex. Thank you!
Love the content thanks for putting a nice video out on rolex, allot of videos in the last year just bash rolex and its very tedious and over-done. They make stunning great watches!
@thehonestwatchdealer Your welcome! I appreciate allot of brands it's just nice to see content not talking completely negative about rolex. People forget rewind 4 years ago you could walk into a AD and buy a rolex with the snap of my fingers, infact I have luckly twice. The demand has simply run so high it can't be met to keep all parties happy! FYI my favourite watch missed out here was stainless steel and platinum rhodium dial yatchmaster.. Beautiful and deffiently stealthy
Submariner and Jubilee. When I looked at it, I remembered the hard work to achieve that level. My favorite Submariner is Hulk. My favorite Jubilee is white gold and cyan dial with them arabs number ١٢٣.. How bout you Charlie, what's your favorite watch 🤙
Excellent video. There's just one thing I'd like to metion. Rolex being elusive to a big chunk of watch lovers has kinda changed what people would likely pick. Its like if rhe AD calls and says I have a sub (date) and I wanted a no date version, chances are ill just take it because I'm not sure if ill get the one I want anytime in the near future. So my first Rolex was the SD 43, followed by the explorer 2 polar and I'm getting a GMT master II sprite tomorrow. I wanted a Batman but I picked the Sprite on the jubilee instead. But the video is spot on otherwise if people had to pick without being made to wait an eternity. Hoping I don't regret my decision of buying the sprite instead of the Batman. Thanks for the video!
Thank you mate I really appreciate that! Glad you liked the video 🙏 Sounds like you have a great collection already - the Sprite is definitely a good one to go for! 👌🏻

Correct about the fluted jubilee. I got a submariner and am on the list for one of these as a secondary watch. :)
Excellent choice, hope you get the call soon mate! 🙏
All three of them excellent choices great for all occasions, Submariner probably the best of the 3 👌🏻
Any tips for going to an AD and #1 choice is a blue skydweller?
I love my blue dial Yachtmaster. Not seen nearly as often in the ‘wild’ and such a beautiful piece!
Very true! Don’t see many at all, very nice watch 👌🏻
Well! You're right! First watch black Sub, second watch steel/gold Sea Dweller - because I wanted a bigger, bolder Sub 😅
Ah that’s incredible! Great ones to get as your first 2 👌🏻
@@thehonestwatchdealer thank you!!!
I was waiting on you to say - the type of client who buys this model tends to be a total 🔔 end.
Haha never! 🤣
Sub Bluesy as daily? Interesting. I really like them, but a little ostentatious for a daily IMO. I can definitely see it as a more dressy occasional option.
Yes a lot of people love to daily these! Though makes a great special occasion watch too 👌🏻
This is an awesome video. I’m a business person and getting your take on this is highly valuable!
Thank you Michael really appreciate it, glad you like the video!
@@thehonestwatchdealer thanks I would love to get into watch buying and selling but it isn’t something I know very well.
I would like to wear a Rolex at my wedding, and at first was thinking about a full yellow or white gold. Do you have any tips for this sort of occasion? It can be any model or material too.
It’s all down to your own taste and preferences mate! Having said that I wore an unbelievable 18ct Yellow Gold Day-Date at my own wedding 🙌🏻
I have a 36 Datejust olive dial perpetual steel and gold love it. ❤❤❤❤❤ true I’m a professional
Congratulations, really stunning combination - enjoy it!! 🙌
What would you say about the air King? It’s my favourite and is never on thoses lists.
I will try and cover the Air-King in the next video 👌🏻 stunning model though, very different! 👌🏻
Another great vid Carlsberg, pure class.
Haha thanks mate! Glad you liked this one 👌
My daily wear is a Sea Dweller Steel 43. Occasion wear Steel gold fluted datejust in jubilee
Excellent choices, great collection you have!
Thanks a lot Chris,
So glad you like the content, really appreciate what you said! Great to see my style of content is really paying off 🙏
Great interesting video. Was waiting for the Yachtmaster 2 review
Thank you mate I appreciate that, I’ll see what I can do for next time 🙌
Lemans daytonas rule!!! Real cool especially on the race track! Love the exhibition back!
Such an incredible piece isn’t it 👌🏻
@@thehonestwatchdealer you betcha!!
i have a breitling avenger limited and a tudor black bay, but i feel like that is not well enough for myself. i will try a rolex soon.
You’ve got two great watches in your collection mate! A Rolex would make a fantastic addition, good luck with your purchase 🙌🏻
@@thehonestwatchdealer thanks mate
Thank you Charlie for this! Would love you opinion on the “palm motif” for the Datejust. For myself, 33 year old guy, self employed farmer. First Rolex. Thank you!
Yes it is a stunning model, quite a small market as it is such a rare dial - should be a good one for the future 👍
Love the content thanks for putting a nice video out on rolex, allot of videos in the last year just bash rolex and its very tedious and over-done.
They make stunning great watches!
Thanks a lot Lee,
Really appreciate it - thank you for watching! 🙏
I like your RUclips sugestióna and content but when Ineied to contact appears invalid

Some excellent choices! Can't beat a Hulk 👊
The Pikachu has to be up there for me! 👍
Great video! Could you touch on the Milgauss? Would love to have that as a first watch
Thankyou mate! Appreciate it - I’ll try and include that on the next one 🙌
Damn best video for me so far. Congrats man!
Thank you mate really appreciate it, so glad you like this one 👌🏻
Glad you liked the video 🙏
Sounds like you have a great collection already - the Sprite is definitely a good one to go for! 👌🏻
Thank god for close caption, LOl!
😆👍
