This was a great beginner workout. I am 53 yrs old and have had several significant injuries the past. 2 yrs. I was able to do almost all of the sets, except I cannot have my head down for a long period of time. It gives me a migraine. I need to get stronger and I think this routine will help me. Actually had to try even the first one like,,, 5 times until I found the correct form as you noted *"quality before quantity"* and when I found it, I started to cry.
I'm glad I can do these home (and they are actually beginner friendly) bc I have so many traumas in my body that my whole nervous system makes me almost cry (dissociate) in the gym, that I stopped.

Oh my goodness, I LOVED this! I was in wildland firefighting and personal training was a HUGE part of my life. I've taken the last number of years off from regular workouts (HIIT was the 'go-to') but have been missing them and just starting to really bring them back. I am a sucker for using stumps, rocks and body weight in my routines but it's not the season for that right now. As an intro back to routines this hit the mark for me! It showed me where my strengths already are (THANK YOU muscle memory) and where I can take them! HANDSTANDS have eluded me and I am making it a mission to FINALLY do them! I totally dig your instruction, pace and variations and am a loyal participant - THANK YOU SO MUCH for this! You've helped me up the stoke to reclaim and enhance my strength and abilities! 🤟😎

I have chronic back/knee pain and hip misalignments from having flat feet, wearing bad shoes and then weight gain + inactivity. I’ve been slowly losing weight for about 2 years, exercising on and off because of routine disruptions (like vacations) or pain. I’ve been doing this workout for only a little over a week and…I’m shocked at how much strength I’ve gained so quickly and how it has relieved some pain!! Thank you for this accessible beginner video!!

Strengthen your forearms. Sit down with forearms on your legs palms up, but with wrists and hands past your knees. Hold a light weight object in hands. Raise and lower your hands whilst keeping arms immobile on thighs. Should feel a slight soreness in forearms. Do this every couple days.

    • @fericat

You can also strengthen your wrists by stand straight (holding your body solid) have a suitable dumbell weight for you, clench your hand up and release, repeat until you feel like you might not make the one after.

Thank you. I work out about 6 days a week but struggle with my flexibility. I try to stretch and stay mobile but your program made me realize how much more I need to do calisthenics. I don't care to ever do a handstand but I grew up doing calisthenics and lost touch with that as I aged. Thank you for bringing this short video back because we have so little time in our day with work, driving, cooking, children, etc. --- So, I'll continue to fit these short videos into my workouts. I did this after my workout today but may switch it around. A few years ago I fell backwards and now have 3 bulging discs in my neck, but truly believe I can make them shrink by having good strength in my upper body. Christy in Texas

Very inspiring channel! 💯 I started calisthenics in November last year after doing the 100 push-ups a day for 30 days challenge. I’ve been hooked ever since and it has changed my life and I can keep this going my whole life unlike heavy weight training. Highly recommend sticking at the basic movements and just do more reps. It’s also better for your joints too. Here’s my current workout plan that I’ve tried a few but I think this is my final. Well for now 😂
    Upper
    Pull-ups
    Push-ups
    Dips
    Shoulder press
    Hanging leg raises
    Lower
    Squats
    Romanian deadlift
    Split squat or pistol squats
    Calves raises
    Hanging leg raises
I do upper and lower body splits as full body was getting harder as my reps went up. I do this like 4 times a week along with running once or twice a week. But take longer rests if my body needs it. My reps go between 50, 100 or 200. Lower reps for pull-ups than push-ups. Higher reps for legs unless I decide to use heavier weights I do 50 reps. I usually do 5 reps x10 sets for pull-ups and 10 reps x10 or x20 sets for push-ups and shoulder press and legs. This is such a great way to build muscle and lose weight and feel super energetic. Definitely worth trying this for 1 or 2 months if you are looking to get in great shape with little equipment, you can do this at a park with a resistance band and a tree or at a gym with dumbbells and pull-up bar. Keep it simple to keep it consistent 🔥

I like your content a lot, I did your core exercises and I really liked it, do you have tips for the first pull up I have been working on this for 6 months and there is progress but I still can't do one

Hey! I actually have a video on how I got my pull up: ruclips.net/video/WXUXO_pZ124/видео.html
I would recommend doing some causal pull-ups every day (referred to as the grease the groove method). Then have two pull dedicated training days a week to strengthen your pulling muscles. If that is not possible then just add in 10 minutes of pull training into your current workout split.

This workout has my eyes rolling to the back of my head with struggle but it’s pretty fun. Also I can’t do 8:57 at all.. my arms are like simply not long enough? Without the blocks (which I don’t have) it’s just completely impossible for me, id have to use my finger tips 🤣

That was *HARD*! And I couldn't even do all the reps on a couple of them. (I do cardio, Pilates, and yoga. I also have bad hips and shoulders. This seems like a good addition.)

Wow. Thank you. I usually go to the gym but I didn’t make it. I had a hard time lifting my bottom and legs during the Superman. Any suggestions?

I'm going to implement this to my other half of the week rather than just doing only 3 days of HIIT routine, I find myself in need of strength
