For the legos we have a big mat with a drawstring so the kids spread it out to play then just pull the drawstring to tidy up. It has been a game changer!

Thank you for showing the mess! It's so normal! I've loved following Mystie Winckler for attitude adjustment in this area. Adjusting our hearts so we can do the things we need to do, with joy! Did my dishes while I watched and just thankful for you + your willingness to let us come alongside you and do this mothering, homemaking, simple living thing "together." Remembering that literally every other mom/wife is doing these same things feels so nice. I've been eyeing a steam mop recently 👀 just might have to hop on that bandwagon. I totally agree, waking up to a Saturday home with everything clean and in its place with a fresh day ahead. Nothing better! Love to you, mama!

Wonderful video. I am 64 and back in the day worked full time outside the home while raising 2 sons. I sure wish I was more of a minimalist back in the day as it sure would have made my life simpler. Now that we are empty nesters I am purging, downsizing, donating etc. I also wish I would have had all the resources and videos that I have now to inspire. Thank you for inspiring!! Lego mamma here 👋🏼 The best trick(s) I can give you are: get a tool box to store it all in and sort by colour in the compartments! We’ve recently changed to this as our Lego collection has grown and I cannot begin to explain to you how much better it is! Had wanted to do it for a while but hadn’t found a toolbox that was kid friendly (no pinched fingers & easy to use) and reasonably priced (I think £20!). Sorting by colour makes it easy for little brains, hands and eyes to tidy up and to know where to look for a particular piece when building! Bigger pieces and works in progress can live safely in the bottoms section too 👌🏼 Would also highly recommend the drawstring playmats that others have mentioned too! We had one for the duplo phase and it was brilliant. Last but not least (as you well know) periodically declutter the Lego that’s getting less use 💖
Can’t wait to watch! We have four kids and an older home and it’s just defeating sometimes. I can’t seem to get my house to the state I want it in. Hopefully I can find some motivation in this video 💕

I really appreciate your outlook ❤️ Do you ever experience mom guilt about purging your kiddos toys? Our little one just turned 1 and she never plays with the toys at home. I’ve been seriously considering donating them. We’ve (kinda) tried toy rotation and things but she seems to get bored really quick. Any advice would be much appreciated!
I am an old Lego mum, (62) even played with Lego when I was a child 😃 Now playing with grandchildren. Set a rule that they have to pick up Lego during play and never leave without it beeing picked up. Rule We had was you are allowed to keep three things you build. After you finished building one pick up and fix everything before building next thing. We had a lot of it in different smaller boxes and all the boxes in a couple of drawers. Our children chose themselfs how to organize them. Like all same size or same colour in one box. All pirates and their gold chest in one… Good Luck and always, always put away before you or the children go to bed! There is nothing worst than silently sneaking in to their room just to step on one of these hard horrible things and then wake up the entire house as you groan and try to find your way out of the room without stepping on more, which you can’t avoid 😂 Well Good Luck! ❤
You made me laugh so hard when you talked about being a new Lego mom and needed tips on organizing the chaos of constant Lego cleanup 😆 That’s 100% me right now with my son. He’s obsessed with Lego’s and I think we have the exact same lego table as you do! I’ve gotten to the point where he has the table and a plastic bin he keeps his Lego pieces in, and I’ll tell him if they don’t get picked up I’m throwing the ones I step on in the trash. Lol that usually gets his attention and he cleans them up 😉

The simplicity and effectiveness of their Epic Water Filters is what drew me in. Honestly, Berkey is great, just kind of complicated to manage, fill and replacements were always a hassle. I'll never bash them though as we did use it happily. EWF is just an easier and just as good filtering option!

It is so amazing to me how little toys a kid needs/wants, anytime I rage clean and take all the toys away except for three, my girls do not notice and play with those toys for HOURS… so why do I always let it build back up? Hahaha

Just curious why u don’t put your water in the fridge?
Room temp water is all we drink. Cold can slow down the digestion(traditional Chinese medicine wisdom) and hurt the spleen!

How did you decide on what type of epic filter to get? I like the Nano one but I know the other filter takes out more fluoride and chlorine.
