To anyone who struggles with cleaning and often feels overwhelmed/can't keep up, even after receiving all the standard advice of "take it 1 step at a time, do it in parts" etc. Investing in a robot vacuum has literally been such a game changer. As someone who used to sweep & vacuum over 3x/week, my friends got me a robot vacuum for Christmas. It helps so much with pets, and acts as a motivator to tidy up my clutter so that the robot can navigate my space. You don't even have to get a name-brand one, there's some out there for $100 or so that work great :)
this little f*cker needs regular cleaning tho, especially if you have long hair, it's like one room, and then it doesn't move, cause hair is all around rotating parts 🥲 so you need to unscrew everything and remove hair\dust that's my experience at least
@@sakurazukamorisubaru Can I just say, I have three cats- one long haired, and two house rabbits who scatter hay everywhere, in a tiny home, and my robot vac only needs a little daily maintenance, none of which involves unscrewing anything, and the time that’s saved by keeping my floors 90% cleaner more than makes up for what is 5 minutes of unwinding some hairs from the sweeper bits daily, and once a week clearing the wheels of debris. I think you need a batter robot vac- look for one that can deal with pets- they manage hair so much better.
@@klausbowpie yours definitely sound better then mine Which one do you have? I have a hair to the end of shoulder blades though, so not sure if it will act better, but at least I'll look into it. PS nevermind, saw your other comment

I love that you didn't use a bunch of disposable cleaning products. So many cleaning videos are chock-full of disposable wipes, paper towels, swiffers, etc. It's so refreshing watching someone demonstrating that you don't need all that waste to clean and have a clean home.
Honestly water , alcohol 70 and vinegar goes a long way! But since I discovered multipurpose cleaner, it makes everything SO much easier, so I basically can clean my entire home with just 1 product And ah, reusable wipes all the ways! The only disposable wipe I use is an eletrostatic one that can make my mirrors perfect (without that fabric little treads) but I can reuse it a couple times too
This video is so cozy and helpful! My parents never really cleaned and never taught me how to, let alone how to deep clean. Ive always wanted a clean house but ive always felt so overwhelmed and lost. This video has been a live saver! I feel happy and proud over the state of my kitchen for the first time in my life
Yeah same here with having grown up with ppl who don’t clean too often so I often struggle with basic cleaning tasks and knowing what to clean with what so this vid is so helpful 🥺❤️
One thing I do for really old, sticky oil (like on range hood) is to rub it with some fresh cooking oil and then wash that off. The sticky, rancid oil breaks down and mixes with the new oil (like dissolves like) and then the fresh oil is easier to clean off with soapy water.
there was a video where someone used an alcohol based gel hand sanitizer to clean the oil off their range hood. i don’t know if it works better or worse than your method though.
That is so true. It helps keep a clutter free life and also easier to clean. I really do not understand the concept of people buying 100 cleaning products and sponges/brushes for cleaning 50 things :)
Literally. I'm actually not hugely into minimalism as a style, but I gravitate towards it because I've found it just makes cleaning SO much easier. It's such a huge mental hurdle having to move 120 items before you can even start cleaning and wiping off dust.
Just a warning for you guys about using lemons in your garbage disposal! Even sliced into thin slices, it will eventually clog the disposal and you will have to manually clean it out - icky job. Vinegar is good enough! This doesn’t detract from the rest of the video, I loved it, it’s so helpful and such a serene vibe. Thanks for sharing your cleaning tips with us🥰
This is great - some really good ideas here - I just wanted to note that where I live (Toronto) most apartment and condo buildings do NOT allow you to sweep any dirt over the side of your balcony, or especially dump water so it pours over the edge (!), because then it just all ends up on your downstairs neighbours’ balconies, or even all down the side of the building. So although doing that feels satisfying for your own cleaning, it’s better to sweep into a dustbin and throw it away, and mop with a bucket in such a way that the water isn’t pooling over the edge, but just using enough water to clean your own space.
I’m chronically ill and disabled so cleaning is so difficult for me, unfortunately I just found out I have carpet beetles so I’m trying my best to do the best clean I’ve ever done. Loading up stuff to watch on YT to keep me motivated and I got suggested this video, what lovely timing! Thank you so much, I wish schools taught kids this stuff
Omg I just found out I have carpet beetles too! Ugh, it sucks, but hopefully we can both do our best to clean well! Also, it SHOULD be taught in schools, like maintaining your home is soo important but they don't teach it at all, smh. Well, good luck with your cleaning!!
@@starry_skies agreed!! its so important for not only physical but mental health to have a clean environment it really should at least be an in depth unit in health class…which also needs to be mandated 💀
@@rinnittt yess when my space gets really bad, I feel horrible mentally as well. But then you get too overwhelmed to tidy it and that makes you feel bad as well! Learning how to just maintain little by little is so important and better in the long run.
I’m chronically ill and disabled too, I struggle because I can’t clean my home like I used to. I really hope you use your spoons wisely and are able to get rid of those awful bugs
If they’re in your carpet it’s likely they’re already in your clothes too. With proper regular cleaning you can keep the numbers at bay but they’re too small to ever get rid of completely unfortunately. Absolutely ruined my life that’s for sure 😢
I watched 1:17 min of this video, ran downstairs and made the baking soda vinegar mixture, ran upstairs, scrubbed the washer, started a clean cycle, and ran back downstairs to finish this video hahaha great inspiration to clean 🤩
Does soda and vinegar mixture works? People usually advice using vinegar or soda, because mixed together they cancell each other, as we all remember from chemistry class.
haha, I too just watched the first minutes and then did my laundry, only to come back to my room and start to rearrange the furniture and deep clean the whole thing
Just a tip for everyone, mixing baking soda and vinegar does nothing to help clean. Mixing them together neutralizes it, which is the foaming you’ll see happen. Both are great for cleaning but preferably used separately.
@@jesusisapisces for the garbage disposal- just ice, lemon slices, baking soda and hot water would be fine. When using vinegar you can dilute with water and essential oils for a better smell. Sometimes you don’t even need to dilute it like if you’re cleaning the washing machine.
i love that you actually show the dirt!!! and that you use minimal products without being preachy about it!! although this isn't exactly realistic for me right now (doing a masters degree when some days just getting out of bed is an achievement) i am definitely going to take tips!!
When I use to do deep cleaning, or seasonal cleaning, I would do one room a day. Sometime it could take two days to finish an entire room but that's cleaning from ceiling, walls, floor and everything else in the room. Now due to health issues, I hire someone to do these things. I love a clean, fresh, decorated, comfy home
Moving out on my own for the first time. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this video! Thank you so much for sharing your cleaning tips! Definitely will try them out when I clean my apartment. 🧡🤗
I would add that you take off the metal part of the gas kitchen, I don't know how they are called, and clean them as well. And also the metal thing of the bathroom sink, the one that covers the hole, you can unscrew it with your hand and clean the hole and the cover, then I run water with soap.
I’ll give you the same advice my Rheumatoid Arthritis Dr gave me. Don’t push yourself too hard. Pick one room a day, clean it, dust, organize, declutter, vacuum or mop and just give it a really thorough cleaning. Take breaks if you need to. There are things that need to be done every day, like dishes and taking out the trash, toilets you clean as often as needed, but bathrooms don’t need a deep clean every day. One room a day with just picking up other rooms, keeps the house clean and allows you to not have to be cleaning all the time. I literally used to vacuum, scrub floors, change the bedding on my bed, clean the toilet, tub and sinks, wipe down counters and cupboards…every day! He said I was killing mystic and he was right!
When we use to have cats before our twins lol I use to clean good once a week now it’s like once a month. Keeping up with cats is easier but I love the kids and the fact that it’s my kids now. When they get older and can help clean up then maybe we’ll add a cat or two again. My spouse and I had cats most of the time of our marriage but we were blessed with twins and gave our cats to a close family member because it was to much at the time. Now they have grown to love the cats so we can’t take them back.
It makes me so happy to see you using natural, safe and sustainable cleaning methods/ products, even the bamboo toothbrush, and it's also so pretty, all the similar colors, etc. So cool that the coffee is ethical too !!
Lovely! Also nice to see the actual dirt before you clean as it makes me feel better about how some places in my house get, haha. Some people's cleaning videos feature spaces that look pretty spotless already and you don't see much difference, so this video was really nice to watch. I couldn't dedicate a whole week to this level of cleaning, but I'm hoping to deep clean/declutter at least one room/space a month in addition to regular daily/weekly cleaning. :)
I just started living on my own and the part of cleaning everything by myself while working etc has been quite overwhelming, even though my apartment is small. this video inspired me a lot and it was really pleasing to watch. thank you for all the tips! (my vacuum has a smaller end and I use that to clean the tops os the baseboards, if I wipe the dust right away it gets on my walls, so I vaccum first. it's so satisfying)
I'm a pretty clean person and don't tend to fall behind on chores, but I've been feeling really overwhelmed in a new rental - there's just so much that needs deep cleaning!! This has been so calming and soothing to watch - im definitely going to be following this checklist and your hints and tips. Thank you!!
Wow, you're so diligent and fast. Just watching you clean the entire home, make me feel so motivated. Unfortunately, I can't clean entire home just one week, I need more time and so slow, but that's okay. Better slow than never.
I hear you.. when your body doesn't let you do it fast, you have to adjust. I am still learning how to do that to be honest. I mean i know how, but the time thing and always putting too much on my list(s) are 2 things i need to learn. i need a lesson (or 2 haha) on how to have less expectations i guess i what i am trying to say haha I like your quote!! Maybe i will put a sticker on my mobility scooter saying, 'Better slow than never' Greetings from Holland
This has to be one of the best videos I’ve seen. This is something I can follow that won’t lead to anxiety or me being overwhelmed with so much to do in one day. Honesty, who made this rule where we have to clean our entire home in one day? Thank you so much
This type of menial work can actually be relaxing when it gives you time to switch off the brain and just go with the flow of the cleaning. It is like meditating. Most people think cleaning is some kind of punishment but it doesn't have to feel like it is.
@@vaderladyl I want to clean my entire house, but it will then never be able to clean them 100% because my energy & stamina drain fast, so it needs at least 3 weeks and when nobody around home, the chances of having that moment or spare time is almost impossible college have tons of project so it's impossible haha ;"(
An actual real deep clean complete with genuine embarrassment with an attitude of "oh well" = most busy housekeepers. Thanks so much for this chill and great cleaning video. Was very calming for me after a long day at work. 😎 I love seeing how other ppl clean and the ideas we switch between us in the comment section. I do many of the same things you do and some a little differently. (Stop here if you don't want to read my 7 routines/tricks below, thanks 🙃) Per a tip for cleaning the toilet: I use toilet paper to wipe away the dust and loose bits 1st too but I also use it as my tool for the actual wiping part with cleaner. Toss in the bowl, grossness gets flushed away, which means I don't have to clean a dirty tool afterward or use a bunch of paper towels or continue to smell & see it in the trash even for just a few more minutes until I change the trashbag; I just get rid of it asap! I use juuuust enough toilet paper as a barrier between my hand and the yuck. Then I take my shower and clean my shower 1st, then me. So my toilet is always last. I enjoy cleaning my shower area so I don't think of it as a chore. I try to shower last so I can dry wipe major water-pooled spots like the shower caddy. So after I'm dry I just use that towel to pass over the still really drowned spots. I wash my shower curtain once a week in hot water and vinegar. I spray high traffic touch areas with a disinfectant every night (controls, light switches, knobs, etc). If I used a candle, I'll blow it out, outside so the smoke doesn't change the entire purpose of me burning that candle. I tried other snugging techniques but the other snuffings, to my great unfortunate discovery, still release smoke anyway. So it's just quicker and simpler for me to walk the candle outside and blow it out, out there, so the smoke can JUST LEAVE. (If it's super late I'll just put my lid back on and keep up with the soot so the buildup doesn't get too bad. I can't stand a dirty candle.) When the sun is shining bright, I like to lay out my toilet tools (scrub brush, plunger, holder, etc.) in the sun to dry after I clean them outside. (I also do this with my trashcans so they can air out before I replace the liner.) Think about it. You can remove stains (even poop stains from infant clothes) just by leaving them in the sun for awhile so I definitely use the sun's power every chance I get. After wet mopping and rinsing the mop and bucket out, I'll sit the mop in a solution mix of bleach for a few minutes then rinse both and hang to dry outside with the mop bucket turned over. After everyone has gone to sleep so they are no longer using the bathroom, I'll put some wonderful cleaner like fabulouso or pine allen in my toilet bowl and leave the lid up & the door open a crack just for the scent in the room. Since our bathroom is halfway down our hallway & we have to pass it between bedrooms and other living areas, trust me, this idea is purely: Lovely❣💯

i remember watching your videos on krist soup a lot 2-3 years ago! I’m so happy that this video got recommended to me - glad to see you doing well, and thank you for being motivating as always :)
as a European I am always mindblown at Garbage disposals haha!! we don't use that in Germany. I also live in a shared flat which isn't nearly as pretty as this one, so it feels like everything is gross and dirty no matter how often I clean! I really appreciate this vid!
My mom invested in one of these wireless dyson vaccum cleaner + a floor steam cleaner and at first I was baffled by how much it costed her but after trying myself they are such a game changer. Like NEVER IN MY LIFE I would have said hell yeah time to vaccum !!! but this is really how good and helpful these things are
I have a Shark from back when pivoting vacuums first started getting popular. I remember the first time I used it, exclaiming, "So THIS is why vacuum infomercial people are always smiling when they vacuum!"
Really calming video :) Btw, for any grease in the kitchen try this - make a paste of baking soda + vinegar + dishsoap. You can wipe away grease or use it to soak greasy things in. My 3-year old calls it Super Soap. Enjoy!
I love the use of natural, accessible, and cheap alternatives in the cleaning process. This is something I will definitely be trying in my new apartment. Thank you for this video! You are also very brave for not wearing reusable cleaning gloves during all of this! Proof that I'm a germaphobe... Excellent video!
Very calming to watch and it didnt look overwhelming. I never thought to break it up into sections and by rooms. ALot of times looking at the mountain of work leaves me overwhelmed and I don't want to do it. but taking that time to do a little bit here and there and do it thoroughly. Makes me want to clean and organize asap
That was really helpful! Thank you! Finally a person who seperate cleaning into sections, so it gets really easy to organise the things and not get overwhelmed. I also liked that you use natural products that we all have in our homes such as lemons, or vinegar. This is something that I absolutely will give it a try, starting from tomorrow!!🎉
It takes me on average 6 hours on a day off while motivated and highly caffeinated to clean an 800 square foot basement apartment with one bedroom and one bath (no stops)! lol! That's Just for a point of reference for anyone else who feels overwhelmed at times lol! That's the dishes all the laundry, sweep, vaccume and mop the floors and deep clean my fridge and reorganize my entire closet and dresser as well as just wash down everything and organize the kitchen and the bathroom entirely scrub the bath the toilet the sink etc, water the plants, wash the windows and mirrors lol....it's basically one working day. It's a lot, but it's worth it. The SNEAKY bit is KEEPING it that way! I've turned to putting little passive aggressive notes around the house for both myself and my partner to KEEP IT CLEAN LMFAO! Like....RINSE DISHES AFTER EACH USE AND BE THANKFUL YOU WERE ABLE TO MAKE A MEAL! Right above the sink and a little heart after LMFAO! It's tough love for the both of us because we cook SO much and both hate doing it lmfao....even though once it's done each time I ask myself why I procrastinated in the first place!!! Gahh! Sometimes you gotta just let it be messy and learn to get out and find some joy outside of the home too! It's good to have a balance ESPECIALLY if you both work a lot!
the kitchen is always the hardest.... but there is simply nothing better than a clean kitchen!! thank you very much for such an extremely helpful and entertaining video!!!!!!!!
thank you so much for this organized plan! i am trying this spring to focus less on my schoolwork (high school homeschooler), and spend more time helping my family when it comes to cleaning. I'm going to show my family this and hopefully, this plan works for us. i feel motivated and excited. thx again. 😊❤
I'm embarrassed to admit I had a knee-jerk reaction of frustration before I asked myself... why? Why is it a bad thing for you to prioritize family over schoolwork? I was a public high school student ten years ago and then went to college for four years, and while I wouldn't trade any of it, I'm still having to unlearn a lot of the stressed-out and messy lifestyle by watching videos like this. If you can learn how to love taking care of your home and your family now, it'll pay off 1000% in like ten years!! I know your family's proud of your attitude 💛
Hi Krist, I played this video in the background while clearing out my kitchen cabinets. it worked like a charm and kept me going! Now I have several bags full of duplicate, and outdated kitchen items that are still in good use. I'm making a Goodwill drop-off tomorrow. Thank you for your calming, yet motivational videos!
I so love the quality of your videos. I live in a household of 6 , so the house is often dirty ( load of dishes, both trash filled, stacks of clothes ...etc) . I'm the one that mostly clean while my mom is out for work. Plus I'm a clean freak so I enjoy it . 🤪
My living situation is similar! I learnt to enjoy stuff like dishes and laundry because I ended up doing them so often. >.< Not quite a clear freak but cleaning is definitely satisfying!
Cleaning is overwhelming but I love when these videos include having to clean hard water build up so I get to remember how awesome it is I just don’t have to deal with that extra issue where I live!!
I didn't realize how simple and easy I have it when it comes to cleaning. There is no microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher or even a stove hood in my small apartment! I have very little grease because I don't eat or cook meat nor do I fry food of any kind. I only have hardwood floors, so no carpet to worry about. I share the washer/dryer with two other neighbors, but I'm happy to clean it using your method. I do wish I had a balcony though! And your precious kitty!
Fact: Mattresses that do no have mattress protectors or get vacuumed regularly; double in weight every 5 years due to dust mites!!! More things to clean/organise: -Vent in bathroom -Blinds/Curtins -With a screw driver, align all screw in electrical outlet covers to face the dame direction -Wipe dust off of door hinges
@@JJ-of7hz You can deep clean as often as you want but usually it is done depending on how dirty things get. Many people do it every six months to 9-12 months at the least. Things like blinds, curtains, rugs for example can be done every 6 -12 months more or less. Oven, fridge, shampooing upholstery, from 3 to 6 month or more often and so on.
doubles in weight? pretty sure that's wrong, I don't have a mattress protector and I have never vacuumed my mattress (I never heard of vacuuming a mattress before in my life, and I don't think mine is even vacuumable?) and I've had it for 10+ years and I can still easily pick it up, it is definitely NOT 4x it's weight, or even 3x.
Lovely video. A great way to remove lime scale from taps and shower screens is simply wiping on Water Soluable (very important- not the same as essential oils) Eucalyptus oil. It completely removes it with no scrubbing and doesn't need to be left for hours.
Thank you so much for this video!!! My mom and qi have been struggling for years about how to keep the house clean and when I watched this video I realized that the small things that we don’t notice are things that keep the house dirty. Starting tomorrow, I’m going to use all the techniques in this video and clean my house. And I love how you used natural products which anybody have in their houses!!!
It's literally 5x dustier where I live because there's a dirt road out front and a field behind our house plus so much clutter to sort out so.. I already feel tired just thinking about it. But this is a good start! This video is so satisfying to watch that I'd like to do something like this too. Thanks for the cool tips and inspo! 👍🏼 EDIT: Just a question - what solution or cleaning products do you use to clean the TV?
if you have a central heating/cooling system using an allergen filter can help cut down on dust a great deal. Air purifiers also help keep dust levels down. I use on in my childs bedroon=m
Isopropyl alcohol, or a lightly damp cloth, wipe TV surfaces. Use dry Towel following quickly, if your cloth is too wet. There is also electronics wipes, in the cleaning aisle. Used on cell phones for years, with no issues. Yes, disposable, but phones get gross, fast.
We just had a friend crash with us for a little over a month and while I love her and am glad we were able to help her out, the m e s s is just extremely overwhelming. I was doing my usual cleaning routine until about four days before she left and then I realised i was so exhausted from constantly turning around and there being another huge mess to clean. The kitchen was an absolute state by the time she left, and i dont mean just dirty dishes, i mean the walls, the oven, everything has baked on and greasy crap all over it, even the bottles of condiments in the cupboards. Im glad she found a safe space to recover from her traumatic experiences but i work four days a week and its just a lot. This video has absolutely inspired me to get onto it and get things back to how they were before, just a little bit every night after work, thank you 🥰
I used to watch your videos all the time when I was younger and I don’t even know why I stopped but I’m so happy I found you again. I love your content❣️❣️
I just spent 5 hours cleaning my 1 bedroom apartment which was already visibly clean. Now I feel content and satisfied. I don't like cleaning per se, but I LOVE the sense of accomplishment that follows.
Love your cat, she is beautiful. I had a short hair one for 20 yrs looked just like her. I now have two rescue dogs. Small ones. Patches I could not replace so got a small dog instead. Enjoyed the cleaning video. I need to do my house. So tomorrow. Peace!
This gave me such motivation to DEEP clean. I procrastinate over cleaing SO much! It gets to the point where I only clean the floor if I feel crumbs on my feet when I walk. I have tried several chore lists and apps but this seems more doable to me. Thank you for your content
There's something truly inspirational and cool about making a deep cleaning video satisfying, real, charming and just overall good vibes. You're a true artist
I have to finish packing and cleaning my shared apartment by myself by Sunday. With everything being everywhere it has made me extremely overwhelmed and anxious. This video was amazing and I will definitely be using it to help guide me as I get this apartment move out ready
Krist!!! This video is so good. Thank you. We recently had to let our cleaning lady go 😢 as much as I tried to work with her, homegirl was not clicking with my definition of “clean”. Cleaning is such a huge part of my zen and if it’s not done with love and attention to detail, it only creates more anxiety for me. Now that I’m looking for someone, I have to clean while balancing work, building my RUclips channel, cooking and family time. This video is gold!! Yesterday I started with laundry day (went a bit into the kitchen) and I feel so accomplished. Great tips. Of course I am now subscribed to your channel. 🎉
i do this every week (on fridays) with my husband but i like ur cleaning tips especially for the water boiler and the microwave, i just clean my microwave with intensive cleaning wipes or hard stains spray than Dettol and some wet kitchen tissue but gonna try ur way, and indeed cleaning helps mental health and reduces depression a little bit
I do a similar thing with the microwave, but squeeze some concentrated lemon juice into a bowl of water and microwave for 5 minutes. Everything wipes off like a breeze and deodorizes. Love it.
Thank you for showing how you deep clean your house. Useful to spread the task for several days, by area. Yes, this is a good video to go back to, to push me to deep clean.
Watching this video was so relaxing and inspiring. I do some cleaning every day to keep on top of my home so it doesn't get overwhelming, especially since we're a family of 4 with a cat that sheds a lot. It still gets overwhelming haha but watching you helps. Thank you
I don;t know why watching a deep cleaning video is so healing for a new mom like me. It's hard to clean the house with a baby and I need that deep clean so bad
@@ramonaneyrinck2292Gosh, how on earth did our grandmothers and great-grandmothers do it? And without all these modern conveniences! We are so unbelievably spoiled...
Haha I think the system you have already for the hair in the shower is a great one! I lose a lot of hair in the shower bc I have curly hair and don’t brush it. So I ball it all up in my hands and stick it on the wall with some water and throw it away after I’m out in my towel.
i just can't believe i wrote it all down for future references. this really helps a lot! this way i can make my mum happy and less tired for a while! hahahaha
Thank you for this video. Im living in a depression home… if you know what that means… its not my place im taking it over and built up gunk from 13 years on the walls and in the kitchen. Its clean on the surface from daily cleaning but it needs a good deep clean. This week plan will help me to be motivated and not feel alone. 💕 Thanks again!!
One tip is that your stove top grate can usually just be put into the dishwasher, place them on the top rack over your dishes and all of your dishes will still be able to be cleaned. No need to soak, clean and wait to dry, the dishwasher will do that for you.
Finally a satisfying cleaning video that is using natural products to clean and not a bunch of toxic chemicals and cleaners. I loved everything about this video
First, *swept* is the past tense of sweep :). Lol second, LOVE the video. I've been reminding myself to slow things down and take them a day at a time a lot lately and seeing this cleaning was 😌😌😌 so love that for all of us. Also, love that this focused on and not decluttering. I will, however, be scouring your channel to see if there is a video about decluttering, as well as checking out kynd kare. Another thing I meant to make note of: your cat's litter! It looks like you use a rather generic brand-- no shade or anything, BUT, have you tried pretty litter? It's odor free, ships right to your door each month, and all you have to do is scoop the poop out each day and stir the litter. It was created by this person who lost their cat to a UTI so it also comes w/ a color scale that tracks the pH of your cat's urine and signifies if there are any problems you should potentially be aware of!! Isn't that literally so cool? Anyway-- just thought I would share that since it's changed life and I never have to worry about buying litter since it just ships to my door every month. :))))
You can deep clean monthly if you prefer or every 2 to 6 months depending on how much stuff gets dirty and some things can be done daily, some weekly, some monthly and some yearly, so plan accordingly.
I'd love to see a daily cleaning checklist video from you! Just daily upkeep that you do for the other rooms of your house when you're working on a specific room if that makes sense! I love your cleaning content btw its so helpful and therapeutic!
Thank you for this! I'm going to use some of your methods to clean around my house. Using a cloth soaked in vinegar for around sink taps... genius. My family's way of doing it involves plastic bags, so your way seems a lot easier and less clunky to do!
Krist: Deep cleans house in one week Me: Staring at the 4 loads of laundry I brought to the living room a week ago as motivation to clean as I mindlessly watch tv and instead, just watch tv with a mound of clothes beside me as I sit on the only free space on the couch *sigh*
Ma6be you don't need that many clothes, if they can sit there fir 4 days, and you don't need them. Empty out drawers and closet, of old stuff. So you can actually put away the items you like.
By adding baking soda and vinegar you are basically neutralizing them, And removing any effects. Baking soda is a base, and vinegar an acid, you end up with salt.
Hi! What brand did you get?
this little f*cker needs regular cleaning tho, especially if you have long hair, it's like one room, and then it doesn't move, cause hair is all around rotating parts 🥲
so you need to unscrew everything and remove hair\dust
that's my experience at least
@@sakurazukamorisubaru Can I just say, I have three cats- one long haired, and two house rabbits who scatter hay everywhere, in a tiny home, and my robot vac only needs a little daily maintenance, none of which involves unscrewing anything, and the time that’s saved by keeping my floors 90% cleaner more than makes up for what is 5 minutes of unwinding some hairs from the sweeper bits daily, and once a week clearing the wheels of debris. I think you need a batter robot vac- look for one that can deal with pets- they manage hair so much better.
@@awholeworldoflove I have a Eufy robot vacuum that I love. I’ve had it for two years and it’s been brilliant.
@@klausbowpie yours definitely sound better then mine
Which one do you have?
I have a hair to the end of shoulder blades though, so not sure if it will act better, but at least I'll look into it.

LOVE YOU!!!!
I love that you didn't use a bunch of disposable cleaning products. So many cleaning videos are chock-full of disposable wipes, paper towels, swiffers, etc. It's so refreshing watching someone demonstrating that you don't need all that waste to clean and have a clean home.
Or lots of different cleaners. I use only a couple and then use reusable clothes that’s eventually can get put in the washer.
Yeah, and a lot of the cleaning products were quite natural and accessible too, like the lemon juice, white vinegar, baking soda…
i feel like only in america\US those tipe of products are used, in europe it's absurd to use paper towel to clean the house
@@maddog74 yall will find any way to act better than Americans 🤣🤣
Honestly water , alcohol 70 and vinegar goes a long way! But since I discovered multipurpose cleaner, it makes everything SO much easier, so I basically can clean my entire home with just 1 product
And ah, reusable wipes all the ways!
I feel happy and proud over the state of my kitchen for the first time in my life
I love this for you. Have a nice day!
Same my parents never taught me an they still don't know 😂
I’m a 23 yr old getting used to cleaning my own space after growing up with parents who don’t clean very much, this is very useful :))
❤
Same here, we got this 😎
Same here❤
Yeah same here with having grown up with ppl who don’t clean too often so I often struggle with basic cleaning tasks and knowing what to clean with what so this vid is so helpful 🥺❤️
One thing I do for really old, sticky oil (like on range hood) is to rub it with some fresh cooking oil and then wash that off. The sticky, rancid oil breaks down and mixes with the new oil (like dissolves like) and then the fresh oil is easier to clean off with soapy water.
That's an excellent tip! Thanks!
there was a video where someone used an alcohol based gel hand sanitizer to clean the oil off their range hood. i don’t know if it works better or worse than your method though.
Awesome tip! Thank you
I'll have to try that!
@@fjp9 let me know. I just do this because I always have oil and soap around, but I don’t really keep hand sanitizer in the house.
The reason I’m leaning towards minimalism is specifically to make cleaning easier
Amen!
Me too! Less stuff to clean!
it's my secret. I look like I have my life together but really I'm just super lazy and having less stuff means I have less stuff to clean. 😏
Thanks for sharing your cleaning tips with us🥰
My son runs several plumbing companies and won’t even instal one in his house. But he said put nothing in it. Especially ice and fruit peels. So 😮
This is great - some really good ideas here - I just wanted to note that where I live (Toronto) most apartment and condo buildings do NOT allow you to sweep any dirt over the side of your balcony, or especially dump water so it pours over the edge (!), because then it just all ends up on your downstairs neighbours’ balconies, or even all down the side of the building. So although doing that feels satisfying for your own cleaning, it’s better to sweep into a dustbin and throw it away, and mop with a bucket in such a way that the water isn’t pooling over the edge, but just using enough water to clean your own space.
I'm surprised to see only 1 comment about this, because I cannot imagine such balcony cleaning in my country either.
@@autumnramble thats what i heard too...😅
@@alicebug715 yes they do. Vinegar and soda produces water and CO2 lol.
@@autumnramble yes- it will also most likely be an uneven reaction, with either leftover baking soda or vinegar in a mixture of water and salt.
Just a tip for everyone, mixing baking soda and vinegar does nothing to help clean. Mixing them together neutralizes it, which is the foaming you’ll see happen. Both are great for cleaning but preferably used separately.
thats right!
Yes the only thing it does is neutralizing smells and kills bacteria but won't really clean.
So how would you clean with them? Do you just use water for each?
@@jesusisapisces for the garbage disposal- just ice, lemon slices, baking soda and hot water would be fine. When using vinegar you can dilute with water and essential oils for a better smell. Sometimes you don’t even need to dilute it like if you’re cleaning the washing machine.
@@cinna._.bunny00 thank you so much!!
there’s nothing more satisfying that watch someone clean and organise their living space💕
Listening to a good audiobook with headphones has completely changed my cleaning game. It gets me in the zone to clean and take my time.
Krist, we really appreciate your hardwork! You actually deep clean your house while filming for us
😘
i love that you actually show the dirt!!! and that you use minimal products without being preachy about it!! although this isn't exactly realistic for me right now (doing a masters degree when some days just getting out of bed is an achievement) i am definitely going to take tips!!
Omg this is so timely, I spent hours cleaning/vacuuming/mopping yesterday (we have 2 cats) and it still doesn’t feel like enough 😭
ahh it's never ending with cat litter/cat fur 😭for the love of my cat tho 😭
😘
Same! I have a husky, I clean constantly n is never enough
Yes! Her messy/dirty balcony made me feel better about mine lol
Thank you so much
Dang...you even get it right to make cleaning aesthetically pleasing.👏🏻 #shegotaesthetic✨

This type of menial work can actually be relaxing when it gives you time to switch off the brain and just go with the flow of the cleaning. It is like meditating.
Most people think cleaning is some kind of punishment but it doesn't have to feel like it is.
@@vaderladyl people who think like that have poor hygiene.

(Stop here if you don't want to read my 7 routines/tricks below, thanks 🙃)
Per a tip for cleaning the toilet: I use toilet paper to wipe away the dust and loose bits 1st too but I also use it as my tool for the actual wiping part with cleaner.
I can't stand a dirty candle.)
When the sun is shining bright, I like to lay out my toilet tools (scrub brush, plunger, holder, etc.) in the sun to dry after I clean them outside.

That is a normal amount of time for that square footage. I know, I do clean houses for a iiving.

PROTIP!! Put on hangers/ fold everything straight out of the dryer. It’s done after that so no more stress comes from it
I’m glad I found someone who cleans like me! Thank you for your tips as well!
aaa love this!! my housemate and i literally just revamped our weekly cleaning schedule so this is super motivating
😘
Motivational and soothing. Inspired to deep clean myself (;
😘
🥰thanks christine!
And your precious kitty!
wow this was so relaxing and motivating, I also love the minimalist look to your house, it looks very crisp 🤌🏻
I love these deep cleaning videos that start out with an already clean house...
Cleaning my toilets is truly the bane of my existence. I have a husband and 2 sons that truly have no aim or shame.
Make it their job since they’re the messy ones :p
"no aim or shame" 🤣🤣
Work woman this is your mission.
"...I feel cleansed once more." Love that! You have a new subscriber 🙂
Fact: Mattresses that do no have mattress protectors or get vacuumed regularly; double in weight every 5 years due to dust mites!!!
More things to clean/organise:
-Vent in bathroom
-Blinds/Curtins
-With a screw driver, align all screw in electrical outlet covers to face the dame direction
-Wipe dust off of door hinges
Not only dust mites but the fecal matter from them, dirt, dust and actual dead skin cells that comes from us!
WOW I will make sure I use my mattress protector!!
How long we should deep clean? Once every month?
@@JJ-of7hz You can deep clean as often as you want but usually it is done depending on how dirty things get.
Many people do it every six months to 9-12 months at the least.
Things like blinds, curtains, rugs for example can be done every 6 -12 months more or less. Oven, fridge, shampooing upholstery, from 3 to 6 month or more often and so on.
doubles in weight? pretty sure that's wrong, I don't have a mattress protector and I have never vacuumed my mattress (I never heard of vacuuming a mattress before in my life, and I don't think mine is even vacuumable?) and I've had it for 10+ years and I can still easily pick it up, it is definitely NOT 4x it's weight, or even 3x.
love how you use wood, salt, lemon, vinegar--and not harsh chemicals that are terrible for our health and the world
Lovely video. A great way to remove lime scale from taps and shower screens is simply wiping on Water Soluable (very important- not the same as essential oils) Eucalyptus oil. It completely removes it with no scrubbing and doesn't need to be left for hours.
:o will give this a try one day!
EDIT: Just a question - what solution or cleaning products do you use to clean the TV?
if you have a central heating/cooling system using an allergen filter can help cut down on dust a great deal. Air purifiers also help keep dust levels down. I use on in my childs bedroon=m
Get a dumpster.
Ok look up Dana k white

This video has absolutely inspired me to get onto it and get things back to how they were before, just a little bit every night after work, thank you 🥰
It's tiresome to deep clean but the rewarding feeling afterwards it's worth it. Plus the house feels lighter.
Love the video, very relaxing ✨🌼
I used to watch your videos all the time when I was younger and I don’t even know why I stopped but I’m so happy I found you again. I love your content❣️❣️
I just spent 5 hours cleaning my 1 bedroom apartment which was already visibly clean. Now I feel content and satisfied. I don't like cleaning per se, but I LOVE the sense of accomplishment that follows.
15:32 I love how your kitty moves their head when you wiped the windows
Love your cat, she is beautiful. I had a short hair one for 20 yrs looked just like her. I now have two rescue dogs. Small ones. Patches I could not replace so got a small dog instead. Enjoyed the cleaning video. I need to do my house. So tomorrow. Peace!
I agree, a clean home is refreshing, and yes, flowers are a nice treat!
It amazes me that you can make cleaning your home look fun. Great video!
This gave me such motivation to DEEP clean. I procrastinate over cleaing SO much! It gets to the point where I only clean the floor if I feel crumbs on my feet when I walk. I have tried several chore lists and apps but this seems more doable to me. Thank you for your content
I was amazed how you can do all this and have a cat. Once I start sweeping, my cat never fails to play with the broom 🧹😭
Came across this channel since I truly needs to do a big Spring deep cleaning, however I need to declutter first. So much to do….thanks for sharing.
these videos makes me feel so calm
This was so satisfying to watch!
Hire a mothers helper
@@ramonaneyrinck2292Gosh, how on earth did our grandmothers and great-grandmothers do it? And without all these modern conveniences! We are so unbelievably spoiled...
It is so satisfying to watch and now cleaning doesn't seem to be the unsolvable problem
Haha I think the system you have already for the hair in the shower is a great one! I lose a lot of hair in the shower bc I have curly hair and don’t brush it. So I ball it all up in my hands and stick it on the wall with some water and throw it away after I’m out in my towel.
Watching this video is so satisfying and at the same time motivating in that I started cleaning my home right away. Great job!
i just can't believe i wrote it all down for future references. this really helps a lot! this way i can make my mum happy and less tired for a while! hahahaha
This is so relaxing to watch. Great cleaning motivation. Something about seeing white bedding just does something to me. So relaxing❤
The way you wash your home is so ecological 💞 thank you for our planet 💞
for people like me who feel like I have to do everything all at once, I'm so excited to do this and adjust it so cleaning becomes habit
@17:53 "Swoap the water" I love it. Language is amazing.
I love Swheatscoop kitty litter personally. It’s wheat based and flushable. So so good.
I am planning on doing a massive clean and reorganised next week, videos like this really help me, thank you so much.
question would you recommend deep cleaning once a month? also is there a set of daily chores you do on a regular basis?
You can deep clean monthly if you prefer or every 2 to 6 months depending on how much stuff gets dirty and some things can be done daily, some weekly, some monthly and some yearly, so plan accordingly.
I'd love to see a daily cleaning checklist video from you! Just daily upkeep that you do for the other rooms of your house when you're working on a specific room if that makes sense! I love your cleaning content btw its so helpful and therapeutic!
Thank you for this! I'm going to use some of your methods to clean around my house. Using a cloth soaked in vinegar for around sink taps... genius. My family's way of doing it involves plastic bags, so your way seems a lot easier and less clunky to do!
why are cleaning videos so satisfying!?such calm vibes 😌
Krist: Deep cleans house in one week
Me: Staring at the 4 loads of laundry I brought to the living room a week ago as motivation to clean as I mindlessly watch tv and instead, just watch tv with a mound of clothes beside me as I sit on the only free space on the couch *sigh*
Here here 🥂
I feel you 😢
Ma6be you don't need that many clothes, if they can sit there fir 4 days, and you don't need them. Empty out drawers and closet, of old stuff. So you can actually put away the items you like.
Omg thank you for this!!! I usually do allll in one day of weekend it so tiring but with doing part of it everyday make it much better
By adding baking soda and vinegar you are basically neutralizing them, And removing any effects. Baking soda is a base, and vinegar an acid, you end up with salt.
I haven’t even finished watching the video yet and it’s already one of the most helpful deep clean guides, ever!
