Wow, you solved a bunch of my visual clutter issues in this video. Also, I found the no-talking just quiet background music quite refreshing. Thanks.
As an engineer, I would say be careful when you organise mains cables by twisting them into a coil (like the way you showed for the kitchen appliances). It's fine if the appliances are unpowered. But if they're powered up, the organised cables act as a coil, which might cause overheating - risk of fires 🔥.
P.S. love your videos ❤
🤯 good to know, thank you!!
Well it doesn't act as a coil because the isolation prevents it (there is too much separation between cables, and two wires will cancel the magnetic field around it), but it can cause fire simply by the fact that live wire with high amperage will produce a lot of heat. If that heat can't go anywhere it can cause insulation to melt, short wires, produce a spark and thus fire.
@@cloudyhills I'm an engineer too and can assure you that coiling these short cables won't pose any risk, it is perfectly safe. Great tips, thank you!
If I organized instead of watching these videos, I wouldn’t need the videos. The dog was a bonus!!
A place for everything and everything in its place. Keeping things you use most often easily accessible. How I like to run my home too. Lovely vid. No words needed. You have a beautiful home by the way.
As someone who lives in an apartment, this video gave me so many ideas on how to organize everything to fit small spaces. I love how you design your house to make it functional and beautiful at the same time.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing your lovely home and advice. ❤😊

As a German Uni student in a tiny apartment, I loved this video! Thank you for your content! :) Your home is beautiful and what I aspire to have one day ✨
I love your home! And your furry little helper is adorable 🐶 ❤
She's the best assistant 🐾
I love this video. The idea with the folding ironing board is genius. I’ve been looking for a way to fit on in a tiny apartment and that’s just the thing
It's life-changing for sure! I hated the big bulky one esp when I'm so short already 😅
I wish I could magic you to the UK and have you make my home look as beautiful and organised as yours 😊 ...I’ve been hooked on your videos since the first one I saw, the kitchen in your previous home. Your talent and vision, and practical skills, are awesome ❤
Suzy 🙂
That would be such a dream job, to travel to different parts of the world and design and organize people's houses 😆
I have another idea for hiding the electrical panel. Fold a table runner over a dowel and hang the dowel over the panel. It adds some nice texture to the wall.
You and Pat have created such a lovely home, with so many beautiful and clever ideas!
Thank you Beverly ☺️
Wow. I am a bit suprised that you have sooo much pysical paper for everything? Here in Norway i hardly have any paper at all now - as just about everything now is pure digital - really does a lot for all the paper clutter, binders etc.. Love a lot of your ideas though. I have been searching for a similar laundry rack - looks so practical.
In my home country everything is digital as well, coming to Germany was such a culture shock 🙈 But I understand!
I came across this video by mistake - it was recommended to me by the Algorithm Gods. I just want to say this is an excellent video with geniuinely nice hacks and tricks. Very creative and useful! Around middle of the video I thought to myself: we are in 2024, but this lady is living in 2224 already! I especially like the router in willow/open basket, the semi open TV cabinets and covering the cable/utility cabinets with big picture or mirror. These all seem so obvious now, but we rarely see those ideas recommended and they really make perfect sense!
All this to say: this is an excellent video, thank you for sharing!! I will definitely be using these tips at my place
❤❤❤me too
This is a wonderful channel for me. I enjoy the accessible tips and style of filming. Thank you for taking us on a tour of your lovely home.
Your videos are therapy! Please do another Munich thrift vlog. I love your ideas.
It's quite difficult to do them because the stores don't allow filming 🥹 But I'll post a thrift haul soon!
Absolutely LOVED this!! Great tips and you have such a beautiful, calming home ❤️ Thank you for sharing.
Yes I need those cord cables to hide my black cords. Good idea!
I love your kitchen DIY tiles the colour is so calming, great choice. 😊
aw thank you! The first couple of days I regretted it because I thought it gave me swimming pool vibes 😂 but then it grew on me and I really love it now!
@@cloudyhills haha! Swimming pool vibes!! 😂 I think you did a wonderful job. Have a great weekend! 😄
Love love this!!! You have a beautiful home. I had such a wonderful time watching this video. I also get easily overwhelmed with too many flashy things in my space so these are super helpful thank you.
My first time finding your channel and I absolutely love your ideas and content. I aspire to have my home so organised and beautiful one day. We are minimalists but in a tiny space and could do with some more order in certain spaces. These ideas are practical and helpful!!!
The cable/cord management tips were very helpful. Thank you!
Your home is beautiful and peaceful!
So may great ideas...I plan to implement several in my own home!! Thank you for posting!😊😊
Very relaxing to watch. Thank you. IRELAND
this video changed my life! such a beautiful home! thanks a lot!
this video is one of my favorites! so soothing, thank you!
Amazing! I rarely stumble upon really useful tips, but your ideas are great! I'm so inspired to organize my space after watching your video! Greetings from Finland!
Your videos are the best! So many useful ideas and I love your editing 🫶🫶🫶🫶
I love that your videos are so relaxing to watch 😊
Meu Deus, esse é um dos vídeos mais úteis e agradáveis ao mesmo tempo que já assisti. Obrigada por todas as dicas
C’est si joli et confortable 💕
Merci pour ces astuces !
🌸🌸🌸
I always love your video. Use felt sticker underneath of bakets otherwise they scratch the shelves.
You make it look so easy😅thank you so much for your videos!
I love everything about your home, thank you for all the work you put into your videos, such a great inspiration!! ❤
Thank you Lisa!
I love your little helper 🐶
Still watching, but the cable thing on appliances is genius! I don't have the space in my apartment to tuck away my rice cooker and kettle, so the cords are just kinda...shoved behind them. My kettle is glass, so don't think I can put a strip on it directly, but maybe I can put one on the wall behind it, wrap the cord, then push the kettle against it when not in use.
Edit: Not a storage item, per se, but I like the idea of storing items that won't be used for awhile with a scented thing so it still smells nice when you finally use it.
As always, neat ideas 🤍
Thanks for making this compilation! It's super useful to be able to refer to it when looking for ideas.
I struggled for a long time with the recycling even though I live in a city where there are containers for different materials less than two minutes away. It just feels like a waste to go there unless I have a lot of recycling :D So now I have two large laundry basktets - one for paper and one for plastic and metal - in a kitchen corner. They're plenty functional and okay visually too.
I know what you mean, in our previous apartment we had those bins at convenient distances but things would still pile up 🥹 The laundry basket idea is nice and easy!
so satisfying to watch!
Love you selects!
Bonjour j'adore être très organisé et grâce à vous je trouve une grande inspiration. Merci beaucoup 🎉
This is the video I have been looking for! So many ideas for our new space from this - thank you ❤
All the best in your new apt 💕
Wish we have this much space too!
Brilliant ideas thank-you. Really enjoyed that.👍🥰
Wow! Impressive
All, very good suggestions and inexpensive ideas. TY
Thank you so much for this video 🫶 Not only are all the ideas and tips so helpful, the calm and soft vibes make it inspiring! Even if you “hide the clutter away”, you manage to do it without turning the space into a plain boring cold and generic environment, it keeps personality and feels warm and like a real home!
tantissime idee e soluzioni semplici quanto interessanti ❤
Grazie per gli ottimi suggerimenti che copierò ❤
Great ideas! Thanks!❤
Wow, who knew trolls had such strong opinions about organising and small space living? AaaAnYWAY! I really enjoyed this and took quite a few ideas to implement at home. Thank you for sharing 😊
Very inspiring!
Ich liebe diese kreativen Lösungen. 😊🥰
Thank you for the tips very useful for me😊😊
I'm with you on the removal of packaging. I moved to a rental studio this year and struggle with making a restful place. The only difference I have is that if I conceal things my brain thinks I don't have to work on them. Out of sight out of mind can backfire.
I may have to try the basket for my routers. Thanks! Maybe Ikea has a light weight kitchen island. The Kalax cube made a great coffee station. Trimming down my kitchen items has been a difficulty.
Gorgeous
Love it! Great video, indeed!
fantastic! thank you very much!
I remember when computers were first used in offices, they were going to be the end of paper copies. 🤣
My husband is a Director of IT for a large company and when you walk into his office there is literally NO paper. He can do everything with a computer and a Microsoft Surface Go, including making hand written notes, which it converts to text. It frankly freaks me out a bit because I love paper and writing, rather than typing. He says it's actually liberating, and it's an example to all the people (like myself 😂) who say they NEED paper. I'm sure we'll get there eventually because I know my kids do all their office and uni work on a laptop.
Harika bayıldım😮
This is the content I crave! ❤️
☺️
Splendid!
Hearing you say that about becoming the girl you journaled about brought tears to my eyes, it’s so uplifting to hear others journeys and transformations!
Covering electrical panels like safety switches (especially rentals) and such with fixtures in some places is against fire and safety regulations. I stuck a laminated picture on the doors of these in my old place and am now lucky they're in cupboards in my current place. Check with your real estate/landlord and local laws 1st (and have a few alternative options for them to consider).
They own their home and it's in Germany :) Pretty sure there are no laws against this as long as it's accessible.
Besides this being great ideas …. It is so CALMING. I need calm. Ahhhhhhh……
Does the diatomaceous dish for the soaps serve a purpose? (Beyond anchoring the dishes; rather does the diatomaceous quality serve a purpose as a dish?)
I absolutely relate to the visual clutter overstimulation; your home is like a breath of fresh air, and precisely the kind of serene environment I’m working towards! Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas and solutions!
They keep the area dry since they absorb the water :)
Haha! When I saw you mount a paper holder to organise letters\docs I instantly knew you were living in Germany.
🤣
Wow! thanks a lot for sharing! Life-saving! And so calming everytime! ❤ can I book your sense of design/function and asthetic? 😅
Such élégant vidéo ❤❤❤❤
Really love it! So useful to “hidden” stuff behind the door, unless you have sliden doors (like me)😅😂. Although I love them
Ótimas dicas, obrigada por compartilhar 🌺🌹🌻
BRILLIANT 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😃
You can't wind, wrap, or bundle cords with 220 voltage.

Bon week-end 🐶🩵😘
Hello from Sydney, Australia!
Loved watching your video- beautiful ideas. Can you tell me where I can buy or brand of the clock in the kitchen?!?
So cool 😎
Thank you ❤
I got mine from Amazon, you can try searching "retro flip clock" ☺️
Brilliant👍
ARE YOU A GENIUS?! Thanks for the tips
definitely going to incorporate some of these tricks once my husband and I have finished renovating our tiny flat - with 39sqm it feels impossible to keep everything tidy as well as accessible. I was wondering how big is your flat/house?
Do you have high ceilings? If you do, maximize the vertical space for storage! We have pretty low ceilings but the apartment is about 95sqm, which is very comfortable for us since we both wfh :)
I find this tricks super helpful! Thank you! Although I like the clutter free look, I have to say that I'm way to lazy to hide cabels etc. 😂
You should!! They make so much difference
curious as to how you organize shoes?
We have a Hemnes shoe cabinet in the entryway for in-season shoes. Out of season shoes are stored in one of the blue cabinets in the "laundry room"
What color did you use for the molding behind the coffee station? It is such a beautiful look!
Sage green by Schöner Wohnen. I've since painted over it though, because it was a bit too cold in person 🙈
Hey, regarding the paperwork: you will find that receipts fade over time. What we do in the office is scan them, just in case :)
I scan them all too! But still required to keep the physical copy 😭
@@cloudyhills i get this! just for it to not fade with important ones we scan and print ^^" so wasteful
@@cloudyhills keeping paper receipts for 10 years is ridiculous. They will fade long before then. I am really surprised by this fact. Thanks for sharing.
Your editing skills are amazing!! 😍😍 May I ask what editing app u use for ur vids? xx
Premiere pro :)
beautiful home! for me (personally) this is not super practical. i never want to first open a lid and then pull everything out just to put it all into another bag. small ironing boards are useless for me but I iron a lot and larger scale items - my large ironing board is very easy to snap shut and put away vertically and i do it almost every other day. even the lidded basket to store drying bags and clips were too many steps for me. i have young children that i'm "training" (i mean teaching!) to clean up after themselves so picking up has to be majorly simplified and effortless. few baskets have lids but most do not. they are bigger so that the clutter does not peek through. thanks for the lovely glipse into your home and for putting together so many neat ideas.
Yes, what may work for me may not work for others, ultimately it's really important for your home to be practical and cater to your lifestyle's needs!☺️
❤
Beautiful space. Could you tell me the color of the blue on the cabinets?
Bergseeruhe by Schöner Wohnen :)
This brings me to shame 😢 great inspiration which I’ll try implement for myself
No shaming here! Just sharing ideas anyone could try ☺️
I ordered some side tables for my living room after watching this and am trying to think of a way to install power and USB outlets onto it, so that the cord from the power brick is the only one trailing from the table. I intend to get a small lamp for one of the tables to compliment a larger lamp and maybe cut down on using the overhead light as much.
The tables haven't arrived yet, but they're circular, so that might cause some issues 😅. Have you ever installed USB ports into a piece of furniture before?
Another thing I'm trying to brainstorm is maybe just putting the power brick into something. The bottom shelf of the table will have a weaved basket where I want to put a blanket, but that doesn't seem like a safe spot to put the brick...sounds like a fire hazard in the making.
Hm. What is a medium-sized table item hollow enough that could fit something like this...? Eyy...maybe one of those boxes that are meant to look like a coffee book, but are actually for storing remotes? The table will have a drawer already, so remotes will go in there. But perhaps I can make a couple of holes in such a box to route the plug of the lamp into and then pull the cord of the brick out of.
I'm spitballing ideas here but if any DIY folks have faced a similar conundrum, I'd love some ideas, lol.
maybe try this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/S1r2zwbjTrk/видео.htmlsi=9cREykg9_bZd79Qu
@@cloudyhills Oh wow, thank you! I actually had seen his video, but his are rectangular nightstands, so unfortunately, my circular tables won't allow for the face plate of the box to sit flush against the surface (curse me, I suppose, for listening to interior designers and their warnings about "Too many squares!" in living rooms, lol! It was suggested to get some furniture that is circular when you have a square couch, ottoman (or coffee table), TV stand, the TV itself, and any picture frames. So...I did 😅. But I do actually like the tables I got, lol).
I think I'll just try to find a way to insert the box into a decorative item on the table. Had I thought of this beforehand, there actually are tables sold that already include the plugs. I have a sort of filing cabinet in my home office that has one, which makes plugging in the printer much easier, or it can be used to charge a phone.
Thank you though for responding and for trying to help! I'll wait for the tables to arrive (think they began shipping out today) and see what I'm working with once I can get a full, 3D view of them :)
Hi, could you post a link to the diatomaceous earth dish you use in your kitchen? I have wanted sth like that for my bathroom for ever. Are you happy with its performance?
I got mine from amazon, but I'm not really happy with it 🥴 It does dry well, but it also stains easily from dish soap or has dark water rings.
In case you still want it: amzn.to/3vEgTJG
@@cloudyhills thanks! Good to know that they stain. I was wondering that, because we have hard water and I would expect water stains.
Helloo, again an amazing video 🥳 I admire your creativity.I saw some stuff like Cif or Ariel. I want to gently suggest considering the boycott issue, as I believe your thoughtful perspective could make a big impact. See youu 🎉

How come you have a poster of the exhibition of the "Künstler Kolonie"? We have two of them in our home (1901 & 1904). From which year is yours?
1901! We found it at the thrift store and got really excited because my husband used to live in Darmstadt 😊
I haven't been on RUclips for a long time and I think you must have moved. Your house seems very large and there are so many spaces to put things. Or is that an illusion. I'm kind of frustrated at the moment because we've downsized and although I like the coziness I find storage space and finding a place for everything difficult. Could you give me advice on making a room look bigger, or could you tell me how big your home is so I don't feel like comparing. I LOVE your home, by the way. It's so pretty and inviting.
We currently live in a 95sqm duplex apartment that has an open living, dining + kitchen floorplan that makes it look pretty big. Some ways that you could make a space feel bigger - hanging furniture on walls (having them float makes the floors feel emptier), maximizing vertical space, or even colour drenching the room!
I love your videos but find myself not watching as many only because i like to mainly "listen" while i do tasks and can't read your tips. Although you have great tips, i wish there was audio.
Why not place the bags inside the recycling containers? Saves you from lifting things twice.
Unfortunately the bags are so thin and tear super easily, so it's not suitable to use as a "liner" 😟
I need to show my wife this video
