Hi Coach, I'm a huge fan of your side swing technique and have incorporated it into my routine. I was thrilled to see myself looking as smooth as you, but recently, I've been experiencing frustrating knots in my rope during side swings. Specifically, the knots occur just as the rope is about to come down. I've had my jump rope for months and my side swing was flawless until a few days ago. Could you please help me identify the reason behind this sudden issue? The issue occurs in both the single and double side swing .
I'm not sure what you mean by knots in your rope. If you have IG, DM me a video showing it happen. It will be much easier to diagnose that way. @jump15_official
I just subscribed! I will give this a go later when I hit the gym. I can already do the side swings but my hands travel way too far from my torso. As if I had a bigger torso that I needed to dodge. Did you by chance experience that when learning?
@@Jump15official Thanks so much for the quick reply. I really enjoyed your tutorial. I knew nothing regarding PVC ropes. I'm going to take advantage of your offer and get all three. Thanks again for the helpful link and quick response.
@@briankillian5248 it's a preference thing really. They can work better for learning different skills due to the flexibility of the rope and beads can be more durable on concrete. I personally don't care for beaded ropes because I like speed and PVC just moves and reacts a lot faster.
Subscribed! Amazing

@@Jump15officialby knots I mean tangle. English isn't my first language. I'm sorry for wasting your time.
@goofyboy8419 no worries. Try leaving a little gap between your hands as they cross.

Appreciate you! 🤜
Ya, when starting things tend to be exaggerated. The more you practice and focus on it the tighter you'll become. 👍
What's the difference between side swings and southpaw ?
Southpaw is just another style of side swing.
I have it broken down here: ruclips.net/video/LF0w9cKEGHw/видео.htmlsi=UWqt6IXE7EyaxZQA

I have a wire speed rope. Does the type of rope matter for learning these maneuvers?
Yes, huge difference. Here are my favorites ruclips.net/video/vUhXIWt3S0E/видео.html

@@Jump15official 1 more question...I see people using beaded ropes. Should I own one and why?
