Oh man, I wish more Weirdest Games Ever were like this. This game is perfect because it's not just weird in a "why does this even exist?" kind of way, but because the content is also weird and chaotic and is catching everyone off guard repeatedly. Good stuff.

I watched the video from the start and have no idea what’s going on.
My main takeaway from the Weirdest/Worst Games Ever trivias is that there exists a few people who had the stomach to play these games over and over enough to get a speedrun record.
The fact that Peter even knows what vore is makes me suspect that his joke was not a joke.
This game seems like a fever dream.
WOW this was a weird but very fun game. In fact every game from Ice Pick Lodge was pretty strange. The Void is especially weird.
The Void is fascinating. Too bad it's insanely difficult beyond reason :\
@@yourgameisstupid Yeah, I never made it very far, but the idea of a disembodied soul that uses color as a tool to interact with the world. It's a fascinating mechanic.

@@Slyse I ended up cheating heavily in order to experience the whole thing. It was worth it, but I imagine a more forgiving game (that also did away with the glyph drawing mechanic) would have been a dramatic improvement.
The main difference being that The Void and Pathologic are both dark and depressing, but this goes in the complete opposite direction.
"Can we go up inside a penguin?" Is not a sentence I ever thought I would hear.

I need to note that I have beaten this game and really enjoyed it. Once you understand the core concepts it is actually quite fun and tactical. It just does an awful job explaining itself to the point I had to start over several times.
It’s really easy to screw yourself over if you aren’t careful with what vehicle parts to sell and if you don’t do a lot of side quests. You want to spend a lot of effort getting FUN chains so that you can bring down more buildings before moving on to the next season. So, yes, this weird game does actually have strategies and to answer Ashton’s claim that no one has ever played it, I have and I 100% completed it.
I also feel like they are being incredibly unfair by skipping past all the instructions and then complaining they don’t know what to do. Stop skipping the part where they tell you what to do and you will know what to do.
You need an award for 100ing this game.. You must have a good tolerance for games that are poo
@@ryanellis4533 No actually. I just really enjoyed this one. It's also not very long. Doing everything took me like maybe 5 hours. I should also note that it has a Very Positive rating on Steam with nearly 90% positive reviews.

Hearty recommendation for Weirdest Games: Anything from American McGee, specially the first Alice game.
I love that Ashton is clearly dressed for the intense heat we're getting in the UK, whilst Peter is still wearing a hoodie. Two different types of person.
I sometimes sit outside in 85-90+ weather in my black hoodie, blanketed in sunlight, feeling the sweat drip down my stomach because I sure as hell dont wear a shirt underneath simply because I decide that I want to be sitting outside and I won't be stopped

She did complain on twitter pretty recently about the Aircon in the office being too cold, whether their recording room is cold who knows

So the penguins made something click for me - there's a 16-bit (I think Genesis/MD, but maybe not) game where you run around a platform and fight evil penguins in an isometric view. It's like a collect X amount of Y to get keys or something, there's a hammer iirc, very overly complicated - anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? Idk if it's related to this kaleidoscope of nonsense but it'd make a great weirdest games ever lol..

I actually played this game when it came out. Didn't play it long, but I remember building a motor boat with like 24 jet engines - so fucking stupid looking. But each engine layered the sound, so I was pissing myself laughing, my roommates too, as I destroyed my speakers in front of us with the loudest, most painful boat sound effect you've ever heard. I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time.
This game looks like what Jak & Daxter would be in a strange dream sequence.

i only recently discovered stroop waffles here in America about 2 years ago although i'm sure they've been around for a while longer than that.
Stroop Waffles are Really Really Good when i'm in the mood for them, which is basically always. They're great with coffee, good with hot tea and just as enjoyable when eaten by itself.

Great episode. This looks absolutely awful and disjointed. Weird for the sake of being weird but with no enjoyable gameplay or meaningful story and any context. Would be worst games ever for me but a lot of other people seem to enjoy it? Whatever works for people. Either way, incredible episode; thanks triple jump!
