Emirates has relatively smaller number. But you need to consider they have ALL Wide body fleet. Widebody airliners are almost four times as expensive as a 737 or a320

The numbers are inflated for the big US carriers because they include all their subsidiary regional airlines as well. If you look at the break down of aircraft types a majority part of that huge number is small regional jets.

That livery commemorates the fact that this particular Boeing 787 is the 1000th Boeing 787 that *Boeing* made in all of time, not the 1000th one made for Singapore specifically The A350 livery I’m aware of is the Singapore Airlines 10,000th Airbus Aircraft livery. Similar story: this A350 is the 10,000th plane built by *Airbus* overall, not specifically for Singapore. Maybe I’m missing a livery though

When it comes to rating and service. It's always companies like Qatar, Emirates, Singapore Airlines and so on. The best. You can even have a 1000 flights. But, if you don't have a good service. Then, it's of no use. Quality over Quantity.
hypothesis: could this be due to the US’s lack of long distance trains/public transport, geographical size, and population density? In Europe, it’s cheap and easy to take the train to different countries. Countries are also smaller and have better public transport. In the US, we have a significant need planes just for domestic travel already
