Maybe one of Europe. There are tons of European countries and if you include all of the semi-countries (Like Scotland and Catalonia, the ones striving for independence) then you got a long video, and everyone likes your full content so length doesn’t really matter. Side note: Also would love if you redrew European borders and added countries they’re a little complicated, they should manifest their destiny. Can’t imagine living in a country which didn’t kick natives out Side side note: Depending on the states size compared to the state it’s facing should affect the chances of victory.
18:17 “Imagine being neutral” I did my own US State battle royale (states cannot come back after they are out) and it was down to the final two, Kentucky and some other state that I don’t remember (I did this a long time ago). Kentucky was completely neutral for the entire game up to this point while the other state owned the rest of the US. I spun the wheel and Kentucky won. *Imagine being neutral for the whole game and then taking the entire US* .
I don't like how that works. There should be a wheel determining how much a state is taking from another, and bigger states should be more likely to win.
Maybe remove the annex option for the stalemate option. That way, there is a chance for ties but no state would be added back (that could keep the length of the video).

That aside, this was really entertaining to watch and the border gore was hilarious. I love seeing these type of videos from you! Edit: If you don't want to be spoiled maybe watch the video before going to the comments next time
Ive done a european version where each country starts with 100,000 strength and each round two random countries are chosen, then two random numbers are chosen from 0 to their strength. The winner is the country with the highest number chosen and both countrys strengths are subtracted by the smallest number. Every round all countries strengths are multiplied by 1% until it reaches 100,000. It's very involved without some coding but it's pretty interesting
I just finished a sim where I had 4 random # generators and used them to simulate the US states BR with counties. I did it manually so it took literally 8 hours, but Wisconsin won. A state's strength is based on the number of counties it has, so I roll once for which state is chosen, once to choose an opponent from bordering states, once to see who wins based on strength, and once to determine how much they won by (how many counties they will take over).
The only complaint I have is each fight having a 50/50 chance, when it can be, like, a combined 10 states vs 1. The more states you have, the better odds you should have. Makes upsets more exciting, I’d feel.
@RandallJamesPeterson I was actually kinda thinking about that. If you want to go crazy with it do it based on representatives (more accurate than electoral college), factor in crime statistics (more crime means lower state cohesion, aka more likely to have defectors), terrain (disadvantage to attacking state vs wildly different terrain), maybe even gun ownership and military presence. It would be an interesting concept but a lot of work.
This was fascinating! However, if such a thing were to happen again, shouldn't the win/lose ratio be adjusted according to the number of states under control to simulate greater/lesser resources?
YES! FINALLY! WE ACTUALLY WON SOMETHING! Seriously this made me so happy, seeing Ohio get eliminated and then just deciding "Fuck you, i ain't done yet" and kicking ass in the end was the best thing ever
Great video! I think it would be interesting to have the win/lose wheel divided based on the number of states each of the two contenders contains. So, the more that a state grows, the more likely it is to win, which makes upsets have that much more weight when they happen.
This was fun. Can you do it again but include all of North America? This means all the Canadian provinces, states of Mexico, Caribbean islands, Greenland(Denmark), and Guatemala to Panama. NORTH AMERICAN BATTLE ROYAL!
Hoosier is a term from the 18th century (frontier era) where Indiana's Great valleys and hills when you spoke into them and said, "who's here?" some guy heard "Hoosier" so that is now the term. You should definitely do some research on Indiana's history I live in Vincennes Indiana the oldest city and in the 18th and early 19th century Indiana owned Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, And a part of Minnesota. It was called the Northwest Territory/Ordinance. It's pretty cool. Also Indiana is i think the 2nd largest Potatoe producer in the US
Good concept. I want to see a more detailed one though! Like take into account the population, education, strength, resources, etc. that would be one interesting video!
23:50 what happened: Alaska: Vermont is too big. Ohio: looking at how this went. it's never too big. Alaska: Unification Treaty to stand up to Vermont? Ohio: **Y E S**
also in that one boarder between NM,UT,AZ,and CO there is one specific spot where jurisdiction is so mixed up that if someone does a crime they could potentially get away just because there would be so much confusion on who has to deal with the crime.
So, I've been hooting and hollering this whole video. I about cried when we were conquered, and then were were back! And then we just took over. My mom downstairs probably thinks I'm nuts XD Needless to say; Welcome to Ohio, everyone. I hope you enjoy your permanent stay.
This was great. However I believe the way the Win/Lose split on the wheel should've been based on population instead of pure 50/50 chance. And rebellions should've been selected at a true random chance of 1/50 by the main wheel landing back on that state and then a 50/50 chance at succeeding at the rebellion
I think this would be even more cool/interesting if you played a bit more with the chances rather than making everything even. Like, if you stick with the wheels, maybe attacking states have more like a 60:40 chance of winning, so the odds are in the attacking state's favor (surprise attacks!) but still gives the attacked one a chance. You could also have it so that no matter what the state of the borders are, you are always rolling 52 slots by replacing a defeated state with the state that was victorious. It may let them attack but also force them to be attacked more. If you want to get really interesting and in-depth with it, you could do something involving state size or population or some other metric in order to do a D20 roll. Like for any given matchup based on those metrics, "you must roll a 13 or higher to claim victory, 10-12 is a draw, 9 and under is being conquered." That could make it really exciting for some more underdog storylines 👀
This is quite fun, but I think it would be more interesting if the Win/Lose was weighted by at least number of states consumed. Really lets that underdog story have weight rather than random chance alone. Imagine TX gets like 5 states, then one rebels and BARELY makes the win 😅
Well now Alexa and Geo Facts agree that Ohio will take over the world. As an Ohioan, this warms my heart. (I literally asked Alexa "Alexa, is Ohio going to take over the world?" The response? "According to an Alexa Answers contributor, yes")
How do you make your stuff? Like do you draw the maps and then edit them in the video, or do you find premade maps because they look super clean. I’ve been wanting to try this myself, but never could find a good free template that you can edit, and don’t trust myself to be able to draw a good map.
🤔 . . . Do it again, but assign statistical values to each state as a means of determining who’ll win & who’ll lose. Furthermore, as an ‘episode 3’ (the first suggestion’s results would be similar to this video’s results; it primarily adjusts the sizes/probability of where that wheel lands), you could divide the states & territories even further, based on key geographical features that’ll determine the battle lines. For example, I can imagine that Minnesota is likely going to give up ground & hold up in the northeastern part because of the abundant timber, iron ore, & water; steel production ramps up to the point where we could quickly push back & take back what was lost & then some. However, if any state were to beat us to the punch, i.e. they bombard us from Lake Superior, we’re screwed… Anywho, I seriously do hope that you develop a believable program & such…
"Hoosier" typically refers to a resident of the U.S. state of Indiana. It can also be used more broadly to describe anything related to Indiana or its culture. The origin of the term is uncertain, but it has been associated with Indiana since the 1830s.
I hope ya'll are enjoying the new longer content! Let me know what battle royale I should do next down below.

I was going to say something like this, but % chance for total land mass. That way there are favorites and potential for upsets from the start.
Not to mention some states should have a decreased odds of winning based on the terrain, or atleast add to percentage of likelihood of a comeback.
yeah it was just completely random. a series of coin flips. attacking state should get a bonus, higher population should get a bonus as well.

How do you make your stuff? Like do you draw the maps and then edit them in the video, or do you find premade maps because they look super clean. I’ve been wanting to try this myself, but never could find a good free template that you can edit, and don’t trust myself to be able to draw a good map.
You can just look up how to make mapping videos on RUclips
As a Michigander, I do NOT approve of the actions that Ohio™️ has taken in this battle.

However, if any state were to beat us to the punch, i.e. they bombard us from Lake Superior, we’re screwed…
Anywho, I seriously do hope that you develop a believable program & such…
"Hoosier" typically refers to a resident of the U.S. state of Indiana. It can also be used more broadly to describe anything related to Indiana or its culture. The origin of the term is uncertain, but it has been associated with Indiana since the 1830s.
