The Midwest is Americas agricultural and manufacturing backbone. People don't often consider us but we know we keep this nation running. We could lose all of New York, DC, LA in a war and not even flinch here in the Midwest.

Agriculturally the central valley in California has it locked down. Without us there would likely be a food crisis, but I’m not taking away from the Midwest we would be equally screwed without you guys
You guys got it all wrong. If something that catastrophic happened major agricultural areas like that would no longer be able to sustain themselves and most of that land would actually either just return to nature or become victim of desertification. Modern agricultural practices are only practical due to our modern circumstances they wouldnt be sustainable in a situation like u described. It’d be areas like down south and new england with lots of smaller family farms and lots of intact nature still preserved that would be best suited for survival. Also areas with a maritime industry too. Especially new england imo. If for nothing else simply because most every city in new england was already designed for a time before the comforts of the modern amenities that these other regions truly rely on. New england could lose all modern ammenities n most cities would still be plenty liveable without them. Same cant be said for most of the US

I was in Indy this past summer for Gen Con, the largest gaming convention in at least North America. With all those board gamers and war gamers, they had a lot of expertise on their side.

Ohioan here. Just want to say I'm proud of what the Midwest Alliance was able to achieve. I feel like the loss of Chicago was probably a bitter loss for the alliance and it all fell apart. Luckily one of our members turned the defeat into an opportunity.
As a Lubbock native I was so weirdly proud of this sim. Even though we lost to Denver we basically single handedly took out Texas rival states new Mexico and more importantly Oklahoma. Damn Montgomery really had to ruin the Texas Louisiana Alliance
