Obviously, the only one that can even claim to be truly monkey free is the spike factory. Since it could be fully automated, heck. The banana farms aren't even really all that believable since (from experience) banana trees are quite needy when bunched up to the point of being a farm, mine weren't even old enough to produce bananas yet and they were already having difficulty with pests and I had to constantly water them. Small suggestion: the Bomb Tower has a path that allows it to stun balloons. Spiff, Pro-Tip from someone who has too many hours in this game. Upgrading towers is almost always better then buying another. And on any map with one lane, if you get a Super Mines (Top Path T5 Spike) you win, Super Mines is the single most powerful tower in the game, minus the T5 Super Monkeys, and even then, Super Mines holds up to these. Wow this is the first time I have ever seen Spiff actually lose in a game that I can remember just goes to show that this game is pretty balanced ironically
Bloons TD6 has a big risk vs reward system in the banana farms and other units that produce money. If you sink your money into it too early you won't have enough defense to make it past the waves. If you don't put money into it early enough you won't have enough cash late game to survive. It takes experience to find a good balance.
A tip Spiff. While Plantations are great Marketplaces are better cause they just add money automatically without a need to collect. Also in the current state of the game. 1 0/0/5 Monkey Village is too good. Put a 0/0/0 farm near it and bam. Great amount of money a round. Also Sometimes focusing on getting a single tower to max is better. Like the 5/0/0 spike factory is worth that cost. Its a monster. Glad you played this its fun seeing you play a more chill kind of challenge.
@@Vincent_Beers Cool thanks. Yes I am lazy. Hence why I included the fact you don't need to collect. He obviously doesn't know the starts of perfecting banana farm gains. I was just giving basic tips. Jeez.
Played a lot of bloons TD 5 in high school. I picked up 6 two weeks ago and I have been hooked. It feels good to play this series again after nearly a decade. EDIT: I really like how much player expression this game has. The fact your strategy is viable is hilarious and shows how diverse and unique your play style can be. I love the Elite Defender Sniper monkey. Easily my favorite tier 5 just for how effective and silly it is in concept.
I managed to get to round 140, same map. If I farmed harder I could of got super mines but I was happy with this result, can't wait for any of these non monkey towers to get their own paragons!
I think you undervalued the village, as that those buffs can be pretty great, I'll try this out myself and see how it goes. Edit: alright after a bit of trail and error I got to round 99 mainly using the middle path tack shooter, top path village, a couple cannons, then abusing middle path spike factory ability, the tack shooter and spike factory abilities had an almost 100% uptime but I couldn't manage the armoured DDTs, could probably optimise it further tho. Edit 2: tried again with a 502 tack shooter, 520 spike factory, and 520 village and that got me past 139
I would use bottom path tack instead, maybe top path even, but i dont think middle path tack would be the best option. I would also sacrifice one of the areas on the side/middle where spiff put his spike factories and place a village for lead popping on the tack in the middle or the primary buffs from top path.
top path tack shooter is Infinitely better than middle path , pair a 5-2-0 tack with a 5-2-0 village and it essentially solos this map in chimps mode :)
@@dilemma624 i woukd use a 502 tack instead of a 520 bacause the 520 Village already gives a lot of pierce. So instead of the +1 meteor pierce i get 300+ damage and faster attack speed.
I got to round 175. Absolutely filled the screen with spike storms and that was my main strat. Used 5-0-2 tack in center as it was buffed by 2-5-0 village. Got one of every tier 5 tower after building the eco so much that i ended with 2 million.
As an American, I am so glad you informed me that that was sarcasm because us Americans don't use it often and have a hard time picking it up when used. Great video again.
I've unintentionally done this on several maps. When you go through a hundred odd builds playing this game, sometimes you just do a map without monkeys.
Got to 103, could’ve went further but they were too fast for me. If you focus on bottom path marketplaces and eventually get a monkey Wall Street, it gives you an extra 4k at the end of every round. Allowed me to save up for a top and middle path tack and a middle path spike tower. All tier 5s. I also used a top path spike tower to get me through the middle game. Only got to tier 4 for that. Ended up losing cause I was saving too hard for the tier 5 super mines.
I really love the mechanical towers so this is pretty close to how I normally play xD They are really strong too so this challenge isn't too hard on many maps below advanced.
That’s pretty much how I power leveled spike factories, I power level by doing restricted matches. Anyway, the engineer monkey is just a strictly better dart monkey.
If u wanna buff your tack shooter without monkey towers, use the monkey village and upgrade the top option. it buffs primary monkeys (which tack shooters are) and ups their fire rate, range, and bullet size (this one im not 100% about). Glad you’re enjoying the game!
Perms spike is really lackluster on maps like the one in this vid just due to how the exits are entrances too, not letting the permaspike build up really high.
Seems spiff just found out the wonderous fact me and a friend discovered back in BTD4, Spikes are OP We were having fun seeing just how powerful each tower was, via specific towers only runs, and came to the conclusion that super monkey and spike factories are the two strongest towers in BTD4. I've played each iteration of the games from then on to see how true such words stand still, and well, witness here folks, That's all you need
Spike Factories aren't very good as waves get more clustered since they take so long to build up a stack of spikes. After setup, their burst PPS against a group of bloons is unrivalled, but their sustained PPS is among the worst of any similarly priced tower. The only one that's equal to other towers at its price level is 2/5/0.
Recently i've been playing a roguelike game called Noita and i'm completely hooked, i reckon it'd make for a great video or stream. love the content spiff
Tack shooter absolutely does. Im not sure how there would be one for farms or bomb shooters, and I don’t believe village or spike factory has anyone inside
9:44 The biggest suspense of the video was wondering if spiff would get the bank, and it was followed by the biggest dissapointment of him buying the plantation. I myself fell into this trap as a beginner, so it is easy to forgive spiff here as he does not have all upgrades
You need a map where you can place down some of those towers in better locations. You really want those spike traps blanketing as much path as possible... the maps with really curvy paths are pretty good for this. Putting a spike tower on the side of a straight path really limits the area that it can cover...
@ashtonhoward5582 ⭐️ idk, if they deployed the same amount of spikes on a smaller area than, yeah. But I guess I'm assuming that a bigger area = more spikes deployed...
As an American, I’m glad he mentioned that he was being sarcastic, otherwise I wouldn’t have known. Maybe next video, us Americans will find out what that means
If you want a hard game to try at some point with some nice blocks of cheese to be found you should try from the depths. The best way I heard somone describe it was as "boat Dark Souls".
Someone has been beating all the levels just using spike factories, or so the wiki claims. Also, ring of fire beats overdrive for crowds, less useful for MOABs but that's what MOAB maulers are for. Only other issue is camo ceramics but you can always go super maelstorm instead.
Small suggestion for this one: This map makes the inferno ring (top path of the tack shooter) insanely OP. Placed in the middle, the bloons run around it for a long time and it just burns them all up.

Playing on the map where its actually an accomplishment if you can lose while placeing towers
Im glad you mentioned the quantum entanglement bug, it's already been patched for a while, sadly. But it was a good bug
My day always gets better and WAY more chaotic as soon as I see a new Spiffing Brit video. Keep up the hilariously game-breaking work!
it's funny to see you struggling to round 90 meanwhile just a perma spike could last way longer alone X)
Sounds like Sipho could be your cup of tea
If you get the Budling, there may be a way to break it
Wow this is the first time I have ever seen Spiff actually lose in a game that I can remember just goes to show that this game is pretty balanced ironically
Yes but he did do some mistakes like not using marketplaces perma spikes and more
Bloons TD6 has a big risk vs reward system in the banana farms and other units that produce money. If you sink your money into it too early you won't have enough defense to make it past the waves. If you don't put money into it early enough you won't have enough cash late game to survive. It takes experience to find a good balance.
@@gurd739Or ring of fire, which would have helped immensely. Though this is one map where permaspikes are actually bad.
Age of Mythology when he went against 4 Titan AIs, the exploit to have unlimited resources did nothing to save him
Yeah, I’m by no means a pro at the game, but it was fun seeing Spiff be … not that great at a game for once.
I got round 167 two short of perfect 23:12
He be doing something devious getting middle crosspath on recusive cluster
A tip Spiff. While Plantations are great Marketplaces are better cause they just add money automatically without a need to collect. Also in the current state of the game. 1 0/0/5 Monkey Village is too good. Put a 0/0/0 farm near it and bam. Great amount of money a round. Also Sometimes focusing on getting a single tower to max is better. Like the 5/0/0 spike factory is worth that cost. Its a monster.
Glad you played this its fun seeing you play a more chill kind of challenge.
Marketplace isn't better, you're just lazy.
@@Vincent_Beers Cool thanks. Yes I am lazy. Hence why I included the fact you don't need to collect. He obviously doesn't know the starts of perfecting banana farm gains. I was just giving basic tips. Jeez.
I love how he is so unconfident in his defense even tho the overdrive alone could handle any non-lead or non-camo bloon
Addictive is indeed correct.
I've been playing for 57 days straight. And that's not stopping anytime soon.
waiting for BTD6 without balloons
This challenge has already been done! Even still, great video and great job!
Yeah pontoon in that middle pond with a village would have been a big play.
I would use bottom path tack instead, maybe top path even, but i dont think middle path tack would be the best option. I would also sacrifice one of the areas on the side/middle where spiff put his spike factories and place a village for lead popping on the tack in the middle or the primary buffs from top path.
@do811 I used the middle one because its excellent for cleaning up the small bloons
top path tack shooter is Infinitely better than middle path , pair a 5-2-0 tack with a 5-2-0 village and it essentially solos this map in chimps mode :)
@@dilemma624 i woukd use a 502 tack instead of a 520 bacause the 520 Village already gives a lot of pierce. So instead of the +1 meteor pierce i get 300+ damage and faster attack speed.
Id love to see you find and exploit bugs in Space Engineers. Its a perfectly balanced game with zero exploits.
I got to round 175. Absolutely filled the screen with spike storms and that was my main strat. Used 5-0-2 tack in center as it was buffed by 2-5-0 village. Got one of every tier 5 tower after building the eco so much that i ended with 2 million.
Thank you so much, I am so happy that a balloons video got over 1 million views.
i love the game diversity and excitement on this channel! its inspiring. keep up the great commentaries
As an American, I am so glad you informed me that that was sarcasm because us Americans don't use it often and have a hard time picking it up when used.
Great video again.
That's actually pretty clever
Just watching Spiff play a silly game he seems to like is a joy.
I've unintentionally done this on several maps. When you go through a hundred odd builds playing this game, sometimes you just do a map without monkeys.
I LITERALLY JUST HAD THIS IDEA, THIS VIDEO WAS GREAT OMG
Is this the equivalent of drone warfare in Bloons?
Got to 103, could’ve went further but they were too fast for me. If you focus on bottom path marketplaces and eventually get a monkey Wall Street, it gives you an extra 4k at the end of every round. Allowed me to save up for a top and middle path tack and a middle path spike tower. All tier 5s. I also used a top path spike tower to get me through the middle game. Only got to tier 4 for that. Ended up losing cause I was saving too hard for the tier 5 super mines.
I really love the mechanical towers so this is pretty close to how I normally play xD
They are really strong too so this challenge isn't too hard on many maps below advanced.
Thanks for explaining sarcasm in the intro! Us Americans know absolutely nothing about such a complex area of human speech!
The lack of PermaSpikes hurts my soul. Absolutely great upgrade.
And Tack Zone is easily my favorite Tack Shooter upgrade
Perms spike is really lackluster on maps like the one in this vid just due to how the exits are entrances too, not letting the permaspike build up really high.
I was really disappointed in map choice when I saw the challenge. I will always love you Permaspikes
Seems spiff just found out the wonderous fact me and a friend discovered back in BTD4,
Spikes are OP
We were having fun seeing just how powerful each tower was, via specific towers only runs, and came to the conclusion that super monkey and spike factories are the two strongest towers in BTD4.
Hilariously enough, these were always my goto towers back in the day. Tack shooters, spike factories, cannons, banana farms. All you ever need
0:44 why you gotta do me like that 😂
He specified monkeys not towers so that's an easy yes
Recently i've been playing a roguelike game called Noita and i'm completely hooked, i reckon it'd make for a great video or stream.
love the content spiff
Spiff isn't monkeying around this challenge run.
No, I will not apologize for that Spiff tier pun.
Frieza would love this video
Another Spiff video, another cup of tea.
Perfectly balanced
as al things should be- a purple guy
indeed
Have you ever played satisfactory?
I’m probably wrong, but don’t all towers have monkeys inside of them? I think I’m wrong but, I’m not sure.
This video made me a BloonsTD6 addict
spiff it's better to start with placing all the banana farms first, they are more cost efficient than their upgrades
1-0-0 is actually more efficient and not even going to talk about pre round 30 miniopolis
You need a map where you can place down some of those towers in better locations. You really want those spike traps blanketing as much path as possible... the maps with really curvy paths are pretty good for this. Putting a spike tower on the side of a straight path really limits the area that it can cover...
Actually, there's a good case for having the spike factories covering as little of the track as possible. This makes the spike placement consistent.
@ashtonhoward5582 ⭐️ idk, if they deployed the same amount of spikes on a smaller area than, yeah. But I guess I'm assuming that a bigger area = more spikes deployed...
@@franzjones179 they have a set per second rate
Literally just Spiff playing BTD6. I'm here for it.
Yaaaaaaaaa❤❤❤
Tip: a 520 Village, a 520 tackshotter and 025 spikefactory you can push throught 110+ wave.
love seeing a turn base game strategist play btd6
Small suggestion for this one: This map makes the inferno ring (top path of the tack shooter) insanely OP. Placed in the middle, the bloons run around it for a long time and it just burns them all up.
