Poor Isaac went to his grave feeling that people were going to get his mathematical theories confused with cookies. And that's exactly what happened. I, like you, prefer the term "Crazy Math." Look at those sliders shots and amazing lighting! I love the X-acto knife control - no cut fingers, why? Because you're a pro! I have never seen a 3.5 inch GI Joe look so GINORMOUS! I built a model tank with my nephews over Thanksgiving that was interesting, but just another tank. However the kit had a few soldier with similar tiny components and separate limbs to glue together and they loved it. Spent hours gluing all the tiny accessories on and getting things positioned just right. I just ordered some of these so we can build them at Christmas. Thanks for the the inspiration!
I also love the Frostgrave mini line up! They're just as cheap and just as customizable! Plus the ruleset for both these games is incredibly easy to learn and can be played with any existing minis you might already have.
I've never had so much joy in hearing your voice. Your puppet cracks me uo, and your voice both soothes me and brings me joy. I learn, yet relax... confusing.....and yet relative as a hobbyist....craftman you keep crafting beautiful content...
Your macro shots really blew me away! I'm in the process of building a lot of Warhammer 40,000 minis, and what I've found easiest to put them together is super glue with a brush.
I really like the idea behind the plastic solvents that create more of a fused connection. That's probably the best way to go as far as integrity. But I also know, knowing me (LOL), I would have had it all over the place even more than the glue, with half the mini mildly melting from the excess. :) OH, and "sprue glue"... that's a neat thing to make from the leftover plastic. (Break up the leftover sprues and place in a glass jar of acetone.) Something I learned only recently.
Here's an idea, each family member has a sprue from different sets, you each pull off a piece, then pass the sprues. Seems like a fun way to make some interesting choices.
Yoooo, that music you used near the beginning, around :40, was so good! I'd love to hear an extended version of it. Or, even better - a Crafsman album!
What a beautiful, calming great little video. I could watch hours of this. I've never done this kind of thing but I'd love to sit around the kitchen table with you and your family and try it.
