THINGS I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO: - Instead of cutting pour spouts and vents into the silicone, you can form them during the clay bed part. In the past I have used golf tees, dowels, Sharpie marker caps, toothpicks (for air vents), Lego pieces, and more. You simply embed these halfway into the clay the same as you would the figure, and leave them in while pouring the silicone. Once removed, you will have CLEAN-looking pour spouts and vents. - When pouring up thick viscosity materials like silicone, I prefer to pour into two open mold halves, then quickly slap them together, because forcing the silicone down through a narrow pour spout takes longer and is subject to more bubbles. Pouring the halves open like this allows you to run a toothpick or similar around the molds, eliminating surface bubbles. If you want to make a mold without any bubbles on the subject, I find that if you take a paintbrush and brush mold material all over the surface first, there's never any bubbles. It also guarantees the material gets into all of the crevices. Then pour normally after that.
Very good idea! I probably need to do that instead of rubbing my finger down in the mold. LOL! But for open molds like this, it's a surefire way to eliminate surface bubbles.

(You can do this with resin, but try to time it where the first part isn't 100% cured, so you get that thermal fusion going.) :)
@@tonilarimore6079 It actually sticks to the mold fairly well. If there are any caked up parts, that may sorta fall down if the mold is bumped a lot during the pour. But in my experience, an even layer clings to the silicone well.
Crafsman: The mica powder brushed onto the mold may rub off and get everywhere after handling the finished piece. To prevent this, you can coat the metallic mica visor with something called Psycho Paint after demolding. It's glossy, clear, won't affect the color, and is super easy to apply!
