I saw them in '18 on the 'Joy' tour & I'd agree one of the best shows. So much energy & interaction w/the crowd. So fun to watch since they're all over the stage.
Also saw them at the Boston show. I barely knew who they were but my buddy was going so I said what the hell and came along. The moment they opened with Colossus, I was HOOKED
I worked as the house A2 at their recent show in Dallas. I had never heard of them before. They KICKED ASS. Truly a band to see live, the energy is off the effin charts man.

I have heard this collection now 10 times …on here…back to back. At first I hated it. At first. But then I listened again and again and Al the disturbing nuances and atmosphere of these songs, how darkly sweet they are to the ear, completely captivated me and grew my interest from a small stream of water into a raging ocean. This. Music. is something special….. and it grows on you like a tumor.

they ARE the sweetest, I saw them almost 3 weeks ago in mexico and they were giving water to the people on the front row, joe praised a flyer some guy on the crowd designed for them, and I don't know 😭😭 they have such a warm and nice presence!

Their endless energy makes them seem like a group of crazy fucking hooligans and yet they play so incredibly tight it's unbelievable! The singer doesn't even know the order of the set list let alone the release date of their Album but he nails every single second of the performance!
Incredible band. Saw them live in Kentish Town in around 2018/19 and there were people diving off the balcony on the first floor into the crowd below. Not forgetting the stage invasions and love from the band. EPIC.
Wow they're experimenting with the live versions. Missed the sax part on Meds but still good. Car Crash is my fave off the album and the way they changed it up but landed familiar was fun. Can't wait to see them in Naarm in just short of a year!

There's an urgency and vitality to IDLES that you can't find very many places in music right now.

Helps I can identify with Joe since he's a long way from his 20s too.
God this recording made me so happy, from start to finish. The Wheel is epic, and KEXP is the best station on the planet.
