He's the reason the nfl won't draft running backs that can't catch. He started it. I mean, teams were running screen plays to back but that's it. They either ran the ball or stayed in and blocked, but never ran routes. And still to this day there isn't a running back that could run the full route tree the way did

New England made it ab ugly game and if the Rams would have embraced that and ran the ball more would have been a different outcome. A Fullback that was lined up as Halfback, Tight End and very often as Wide Receiver.
Plus, and it's a big PLUS; could block lawrence taylor, Dexter Manley, Jeffcoat and Haley with relative ease.
He actually used to f up taylor regularly.

Instead of paying $7mill to Faulk, they could pay $2mill to James instead and free up salary. James lit it up when he entered the league(Faulk like numbers) and Faulk got a SB. Awesome story. Awesome player and it sounds like an even better person. I grew up a Niners fan (until Owens then Mariucci left) and I remember Dickerson being a problem. I remember Bettis being a problem. I remember the '89 Rams when Flipper Anderson caught the TD pass against the Giants in OT (and ran straight to the locker room) thinking they'd be a problem. That Rams team with Warner, Faulk, Bruce, Holt though? There was just nothing anyone could do with that. I remember seeing highlights of Warner throwing 20 TDs to 12th string TEs on Fox score updates. Shout outs the the New England film & production team for being the unsung heroes of Super Bowl 36.
Yes that was a Brady fumble against the Raiders though.
