Thank you so much for this video.. We went on the auto train and were delayed for 13 hours, I was prepared and had shakes and go macro bars with me and got through just fine!! Appreciate all you help and information.
I just found your channel and its so helpful. My son who is 24 and has been diabetic since he was a baby has just been diagnosed as of a couple months ago. I am hoping your videos will encourage him and help him understand what is happening to his body. I want to thank you for taking the time to create this channel.
I've been a type 1 diabetic for 12 years now and just recently was diagnosed with gastroparesis last year. After being her Living well with Gastroparesis, it taught me so much compared to an other resource and made me feel less overwhelmed. I just recently discovered her channel on youtube! Very helpful and supportive information
How do you handle eating with people and feeling like all you do is eat? With general life? I'm sure I'll get the hang of it but it seems like everything is based around food
Wow, how do you do it. I was DX just under a year, I also got DX have diabetes around the same time. I don't know what I'm doing. The foods they recommend for diabetes make me sick. I have no idea about gastroparisis. I'm gonna try the foods and snacks you recommended in you're video. I get very sick every couple of weeks, the first week I can get by. But I can't really tolerate food. Then the next two are horrible, vomiting whatever is left in my stomach and medications. Regurgitation goes in my mouth and nose. All the bad stuff. Then some how I find something to eat that I couldn't tolerate the day before and it's gone, everything is better. It's a vicious cycle that's been going on for a long time. Is there a book like GP for Dummies that I can get? Something that could get me started I'm so lost, I don't know what I'm doing. Thanks to anyone that can help.
I couldn't eat none of the food your eating when I travel because they could make me sick. When I travel I drink soup, over the soup a spread some raw olive oil. I drink also apple cider vinegar. And I chewing gum all the time trying to keep now the nausea, especially when I am moving. Thanks for the tips
I personally love hot cereals but cant eat them without being miserable. oatmeal or cream of wheat. no matter what type. Grains in general are not happy in my body.
I was told the same, but I’ve really been finding that what may be a trigger for some of us might not be the same for another? Those bars would feel like bricks in my stomach if they ever even made it that far. At this point I’m ALWAYS open to suggestions, but when I find something that works for me personally I hold on to it for dear life 😂
low fiber is not no fiber. I can handle cookies, crackers, breads, and bars with 2 or sometimes 3g of fiber per serving, but 4 is usually too much. This is true with fruit pouches too. Some times if I don't eat much and I'm not around a lot of people I will eat smoothies or fruit pouches with more fiber, just to get the extra fruit and it only bothers me for about 20 minutes. It's a choice because I LOVE fruit and a little mild discomfort if ok. But I only do that when I'm feeling well.
Do you need a Dr.'s note to "carry-on" liquid drinks or snacks through security? How about "customs"?! Also, are GP necessary foods covered by insurance, due to their expensive costs?

I was diabetic gastroparesis on the 8th. of March . I have been trying to find stuff about men having this D G.
There are a couple guys on Instagram. My chiro has some stomach issues, not GP, but he has been super helpful too. What is different for guys?
I was told to eat LOW FIBER and you seem to have a lot of chewy bars, etc which have fiber in, how does that work with GP?
Vicki Heydt Did she ever answer your question? I was thinking the same thing when I saw this video.
