I reckon the UEFA countries will by the next Olympics have the trio of the World Cup, Euros and Champions League so dominant in money generation that they will demand the women's Olympic football falls in line with the men as sixteen U23 teams. They can then say the younger players are more suited. Emma has just made the case for the change.
New found respect for Emma Hayes after watching this interview. She knows how to strike a balance between work and play, which seems to be so important with this young team. She's a better coach than I thought, and I thought she was one of the 2 top coaches in the women's came. We are fortunate to have her. Hats off to the management team who got her here. They may not get enough credit.

I think before people criticize what they only see/watch, they should also see the good, the beauty, the strength of these people. These players won't be up their and/or selected if they are not up to par. Just add some tiny speckle of joy or warm in your minds!! The world's too depressing right now. A simple smile and enjoyment won't hurt.

Facts!!!!! Brazil has been having over 10 minutes extra time each half the last two games. Sad part is they waist way more time than the extra time given and then they just kill the extra time off too. I have always been a fan of womens soccer because they play a much more pure form of soccer. Mens soccer is a joke and makes them look like weak little crybabies . Brazil women are attempting to emulate mens soccer and the rest of the teams will have to follow. Effectively ruining womens soccer forever.

Use a clock that everyone can see that stops and starts. College Soccer in the US uses this system. It would put an end to players staying down on the field with fake injuries. It would clean up the game so much.

They keep bringing up World Cup '23, but USA lost by a literal thin margin. I don't think that meant the program was falling apart.
@TheRumblewagon. I watched the games and compared to the previous World Cup, USA were not up to standard. Go find the analysis Midge Purce did on the Portugal game. She was loyal and talked the team up, but you could see she was disappointed at the performance. She became my favourite current US player as a result. She later showed her intelligence on the pitch in the NWSL final.
That whole 2 years were definitely a transition period. They did lose by thin margins. I think we are seeing the dominance of the young talent that were coming up in that Uswnt transition period and are now they are in the dirver seat.

I think the most important thing is to take and maintain a lead, otherwise Brazil will lean into time wasting. our defensive line has more mental endurance than brazil's, who start to get slightly scattered when theyre desperate to equalize, so as long as they prevent brazil from taking the lead then it will be a good match to watch and come down to which team has more attacking chemistry on the day. if not, itll be very frustrating bc of the way time wasting feels
