Never had that problem, but always test for oxidation first by using the same technique as for the camera. It could be your charger, batteries or cable of the charger.
Instead of clicking "Yes" in the first dialog, I can click "No" and in the next dialog accept the use of a non-Canon battery (or in my case a no-name power adapter, Canon ACK-E18) without warranty. The camera then just starts. The only downside I have found is that the battery level is shown as empty, but this has no effect on functionality.
Well a power adapter is something different and you can choose 'no' as a option. This particular video is about the og Canon batteries not working. Canon told me that Japan doesn't want to change things. So I guess we have to press 'no' and bring an earasor to our jobs 😂
@@royvanderwens one original and 2 aftermarket batteries. I have the error message since I put the aftermarket batteries in. I can use the cam but the message is annoying 😅 even when I put the original battery in, the message appears
Thank you,you just same me some money and time.
Nice tutorial. I have a comm error between the battery and the charger (not the camera). Cleaning doesn't fix the problem? Any suggestions?

Eos r7. Problem solved. Thank you!
Thanks you for the feedback!
Worked like a charm on a 60D original battery. Thank you.
Great to hear! Enjoy your fresh battery 💪🏽
Yea... it worked for me 🤣
Thanks man
I would of never thought of this as a solution.
Its oxidatie, so you can literally erase it 😃
Does not work this trick :(
It is not a trick, it does work if you have oxidation.
Yeah nice try, doesn't work 😅
Can I ask what camera and battery you've got?

You are using the wrong batteries, you need original batteries. That is what I said in the video 😂
@@royvanderwens as i told you, i have one original, but i still have the message on my display even with the OEM one
