I own a Canon 5DIV, got it last year with a 35mm EF II L lens, very expensive but on my wish list for years. I did considered newer cameras that take care of everything for you, except for pushing the button such as the latest crop of mirrorless from Sony. What make me go for the Canon was I needed a challenge to improve my photography and learn, if your camera takes care of almost every aspect of the process you as a person learns nothing and will never improve! Yes many of earliest photograph on the Canon are seriously bad but over time I am seeing improvements and I am learning all the time, you will never get that from a camera that just require you to point and push a button and forget!
I agree! I feel that both the Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon R6 Mark ii require you to learn how to properly expose an image, white balance, and learn the auto focus settings! It's definitely not just pushing a button.
Although I have the R5 and the R6 Mk II (and I love them both), I can't bring myself to get rid of my DSLRs (an old 300D, a 20D, and the 1DX Mk III). I'm giving serious thought to adding the 5D Mk IV to my gear bag. (Christmas is coming, after all...)

It doesn't make sense to give a camera review or comparison without having both cameras. Using what others say online isn't really a review; it's just click bait.
Thank you for your comment! I think you may have misunderstood me in the video. I actually do own and use both the Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon R6 Mark ii; hence, why I made a video comparing how I use both cameras bodies and what I like about them! :)
I really enjoyed your video. The only thing I would ask is how much money is one physically making off your Photography/videography? I say that because if one is just learning /toying/ hobbies with Photography/videography they can go to Places like KEH or B&H and pick up a used 5Dmk4 and some EF L lenses significantly cheaper than the cost of entering an R series in an RF system. The last thing I would ask if one travelled a lot? They might want to consider a used D series in an EF system because it helps lower one’s overall cost, as well as reduce paranoia around the "what ifs" e.g., it was stolen, lost, broken, dinged up and so forth. I been with individuals traveling with newer lighter gear and never enjoying their adventure because they spent the whole time worrying about their gear. (that's probably outdated by the time I was able to respond to this. LOL). Again, great video!! keep-on encouraging others. =)
First, the first 2 to 3 years of photography/videography income will most likely be put back into the business (that's how it's been for me); however, by year 3 and 4, you will start to profit more and be able to pay yourself more (just depends on how much you make and what expenses you have to pay for before you can pay yourself for the work you're doing). Plan on being able to pay yourself about 30% - 40% per year of what the business is making. Most business owners will tell you that this is the reality of running a business legally. Second, I honestly totally agree with you about KEH camera and used camera bodies and lenses! I actually normally buy renewed or refurbished camera bodies off of Amazon or used lenses off of KEH camera. I am still using EF lenses because I like them, and they work great for what I do! You can also use the Canon R6 Mark ii (this camera body has an RF camera mount) with EF lenses, you just have to buy an RF to EF mount adaptor so you can use EF lenses on your RF camera body (I love doing this)! EF to RF Mount Adaptor here - amzn.to/4hzltf5. Honestly, I am very protective about my camera equipment when traveling, but we do travel for weddings quite often (normally just driving from Tennessee to Virginia also sometimes al the way to Vermont or North Carolina). I just "my Jennifer rules in place" to make sure my camera equipment is protected whenever traveling for work. I'm pretty used to it at this point, so it's just normal. However, if you were flying, I'd definitely get a hard protective, pelican case and always keep your camera equipment with you, no exceptions. I do what I can to protect my gear and keep it with me; however, I also just trust the Lord with my gear, my career, and try not to worry too much. Thank you so much for your helpful comment! :)
@@FATH_PHOTOGRAPHY Oh no!! I’m so sorry to hear that! I wonder if it was more of a firmware glitch then, but I’m not entirely sure. If you replaced the battery with another new, charged battery, maybe that would help it to turn on!
Here's a quick statement about the battery klitsch you mention here, this is actually the first time I've heard this problem. I've had my R6mk2 for almost 2 years now and have never had this problem. I strongly suspect that it may be due to the use of replica batteries, which usually have less capacity and, above all, are much slower and therefore cannot always supply the chamber with the necessary power, i've also often read that the replica batteries limit the functions of the camera, especially when it comes to auto focus speed, eye detection, etc. The same problem can also occur with the old original canon batteries of the LP-E6 series. The significantly more expensive Canon LP-E6NH batteries were developed especially for this purpose for a reason. If the problems also occur with the Canon LP-E6NH battery, I would send the camera in under warranty and have it repaired. Because this should definitely not happen with the klitsch.
Thank you so much for providing more insight as to why this might be happening! I will definitely look into what you said above and see if that fixes the issue I'm having! :)
