Bought one - trigger was horrible. Took it to a gun store- they wouldn't work on it. Wound up taking it apart- an exercise in frustration, and using Pflitz on the internals. Much better. Jammed a lot- so I polished the feed ramp. Sights are small- painted the front sight with orange dayglo paint- much better. Now it's a pistol I can live with.

Thanks for the great comment. Mine will jam a little bit. I have only about 100 rounds through it maybe a cleaning and work on the ramp would help. Thanks for watching

Federal American Eagle 71gr FMJ - only because that is what I found locally. And NJ has "funky" laws about hollow points anyway. Did buy components to reload- haven't really been shooting that much to give it a try.

13:25 ❤ One of the best “shooting 32” videos I’ve seen in quite a while. I love this little, overlooked, caliber and am a big admirer of The Tomcat. For my immediate mission it’s the perfect combination- smaller suburban apartment. I also appreciate the research that you put into this. Giving you a follow and thanks for the great work 🎉

*_Subbed_* - your reviews are good, no wasted time and are down to Earth and ya have a good attitude. I grew up city and rural, though I lived city all my life (not by choice). Stayed summers with various family on farms. Grandfolk (both -rural and city edge) had woods and spent most of my time there off on my own. I prefer us rural folk. Cities are getting bad (I carry everywhere but Post Office it's that bad), even in medium sized Midwest towns. We rural folk need to stick together, keep wearing our hats (I love my Stetson), have a good cold dark beer and enjoy life. Sunsets and night stars I seriously miss. And the gentle prarie breeze (except when long distance shooting with small caliber). City life is overrated. Long live the good life!
(I hope you got a laugh out of this, my whole point, but was serious too!) 😊

Thanks for the positive feed back Ron. I haven't shot mine much either. I am thinking of get into reloading for the 32 acp. The ammo isn't cheap but reloading for it would be. I cast and powder coat my own bullets and I think the 32 would be a great cartage for the powder coated bullets. Thanks for watching

I don't know if anyone else commented about reloading 32 ACP, but I do. I have a few "32's" including the Tomcat, but I started reloading 32 ACP even when I just had one gun chambered in it.
I use a Hornady LNL AP. For this press, the only things I have to buy is a new shell plate, as I already had extra bushings for the dies (the press does not require a different tool head). Before loading 32 on the Hornady I had set it up on my Lee Turret Press. The Lee Turret Press is awesome for many calibers but 32 ACP is a pain in the neck on that press. On the other hand, loading 32 on the Hornady is not bad at all, even though I do have arthritis. Rounds come out perfect.
Before the 2020+ ammo panic, I was loading 32 ACP for just over $5 per 50 rounds, using Berry's 71 grain plated RN. In today's still inflated market, it is costing me just under 8 bucks per 50, still using Berry's Bullets.
For brass, much of my brass came from factory ammo that I had purchased and saved the spent cases (back when 32acp was only $12 a box in the early 2010's). Mostly I bought Fiocchi and Aguila, for the purpose of saving the brass. There is something very different between the two brass cases of each manufacturer though. If I use only Fiocchi, I can get a consistent OAL. If I use only Aguila, I get a consistent OAL. If I use a mix of the two, I'll get two OAL's, one for each manufacturer, within 0.010" of each other. I have not made the time to figure out why though. Maybe it is because of what you mentioned in the video, with different rim dimensions?
One other brass case worth mentioning is Sellier and Bellot for this caliber. Long story short, I sort those out of my collection and throw them in the garbage. Decapping them is a PITA, and priming them is equally annoying.
Other than those nuances, I love loading this caliber because it is a fun caliber to shoot, and with current ammo prices, I am saving big money. So it feels like I am getting away with something - you know what I mean, as a fellow reloader!

@@chrisevansgunshorsesranchi699 Happy to talk to other reloaders, you are welcome. It is such an awesome caliber to reload, as it pays off in fun and in the wallet, big time. I use just 2.5 grains of Universal.
Regarding casting, I bought everything I need for casting two years ago except for bullet sizing dies. I bought the lead and even the molds for a bunch of different calibers. My challenge has been being able to make the quiet time to do the casting. Since it is new to me, and because the lead will be 700 degrees, and you have to be careful with ventilation, I have not been to make the time to take that next most important step. Why? Because I have 2 eleven year olds that take up a lot of my attention whether I like it or not, haha! However, coincidentally, I did slug the barrel to my Tokarev today, as I want to get some good accuracy out of it, and factory ammo for 7.62x25 is a ripoff (do you happen to reload that caliber and answer some questions for me about it?). I was really surprised when my slug came out at 0.297" - factory Tokarev ammo uses 0.312" ammo - I am lucky I did not end up with a barrel obstruction.
      Thanks for the reply!

Everything I’ve read leads me to believe it’s a great choice for personal defense for those who have trouble racking a semi auto pistol. Nice thing about TIP-UP barrel .. it allows you to make the gun safe and check the chamber... I just picked up some Underwood 50 grain xtreme cavitators .. like a propeller they cut a wound channel but do not need to expand.. they give a good wound channel and good penetration... I carry them in my keltec P-.32 gen 1 .. this is the gun in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster in my right front when I'm wearing lightweight shorts

I'd go for the 1903 considering it's long history with US Generals, the OSS and organized crime. PPK German made for overall, and 1914 for the old cool factor. I almost bought a 1914 but upon closer inspection someone had monkied with something finish wise so I passed. I do love those 1910/1914's. Odd ball and big but neat gun for it's day. If I had to pick one, 1903. Super thin, can get threaded barrels for em, super collectible. Not too terribly expensive unless you get some certified General's issued one. Thin gun too. Thickness to me for carry is key, not length and height. If ya want small a Seecamp or P32.

Thanks for the video. I have a Tomcat and carry it often. I painted the front sight post orange, which helps, but the accuracy could be better. I have a shooting buddy who has a brand-new Tomcat, and I tried his. Again, I had accuracy problems, even at 7 yards. We used three different types of ammo and no change in accuracy. I understand it is not meant to be a target pistol, and it will serve its purpose up close and personal, but I see folks here on RUclips claiming to hit Goofballs at 20 yards! Your review, however, seems to be more realistic. Thanks.

At this time the 3032 Tomcats has been discontinued, and we do not have a eta on when the model that will replace the 3032 Tomcats will be released. I would like to offer you two options, the first would be we can replace your 3032 Tomcat with an APX-A1 Compact in 9MM, or if you would like you can wait till the model that is replacing the Tomcats is released. I do have to advise that I do not have a time frame on when that model will be released and the only information I have on it is that it will be the same caliber as your 3032 Tomcat and that it will have a tip up barrel.
