So true. I am 38 year old guy. I aged really well. I am fit, and looking 10 years younger than my age. Yet I am not deluding myself into believing that I will meet that 20-something unicorn. Those are taken by handsome 20-something guys. What is left for us are narcissistic "boss babes", single mothers, women addicted to sex/alcohol/drugs, gold diggers, hypergamous sluts, toxic females addicted to emotional rollercoaster, divorcees , and women who aged crazy bad looking 10 years older than they really are. And Krakens - giant obese ones biting you with photo angles on dating apps. Aaaaah - almost forgot. Dating apps: most women below 28 will filter out guys over 36. That's usually bracket for Most 20-something women.
Spot on. The median age for marriage 1890-1970 was 24-26 for men and 20-23 for women. I don't know where the manosphere came up with the whole "the tradition has always been a man establishes himself first, and then marries a 22 year old when he's 35." They have it all wrong and jaded and very few are willing to tell it as it is. Props to LFA for doing just that in this video.
Simply back in the day you could be built up as man by 24. Now it's 35 for financial independence. Same logic. Different times.
Up to the early 1960s, a man could get a factory job or he worked on the family farm. A family could be supported on one income. It was easy to do the whole family-thing at a young age. Once we got to the 1970s, things changed and continue to this day.
41, really good shape, very successful and yea its brutal out there lol. I def get a lot of young 20s hitting on me and I have hooked up with a bunch, but every time it's the same thing. I either feel judged by society, awkward out and about with them, or literally exhausted by their immaturity. But yea, when you try and date close or near my age it's almost impossible to find someone who I am attracted to or isn't nuts. Its a tough world out there for sure even for dudes who "have all the qualities" that guys who are not successful with woman think they need in order to be successful with woman.
my advice is to just find some hobbies, and be ok with just being by yourself. Hook up with a chick here and there, but dont ever expect or put pressure on yourself to find a chick and settle down asap bc it prob wont happen TBH, otherwise it would have happened by now. when you put pressure on finding a chick you are just setting yourself up for failure.

I'm 41 too! Decent shape. I'm pretty immature myself (by that I mean I have a lot of energy and can still go out late, be silly, etc) so I vibe with girls in their mid-late 20s. Early 20's is too damn much lol But I have met some DAMN cool nerdy girls in their late-20s that I wish I had settled down with. Even those types have since been swept up in online dating and social media garbage since then, I'm sure, so I'm not expecting to meet anyone like that again.
I don't think it's crazy for a successful attractive 35--40 year old dating a 20 something but the problem is too many average earning 50 plus men who haven't been inside a gym in decades think they're supposed to also get prine women in their 20s.

There is a cheat code. There are alot of educated and successful women in their 30+ in the big cities. Especially because the educated men get married quickly there. So there are a lot of women that miss out. Also the ratio of women in the big cities is greater. They are quality women you just need to meet their education standard and career standard normally.

I got divorced in 2007, just as the social media became mainstream. Watching women self destruct helped me avoid a full relationship again. Now I see a woman but she has her own home and we get together when we can arrange it. Marriage means nothing today so this is a good compromise since I still enjoy the company of a woman. I see no upside to living full time with a woman when she has all the leverage.
I dated a 19-year-old girl several years ago and I can tell you it wasn’t worth it.

The concept of "younger woman less experience" makes sense on paper and was more true 40-50 years ago.
But girls today are sexualized at a young age, and the culture itself is hyper-sexualized. So by the time they get into college, casual sex has been built as "independence."
That's why it's naive to think that a younger woman who's 22-25 in this day and age will have a low body count and less baggage. They've interviewed 19-20 year old college girls who have slept with 50-100+ men before they even reach senior year. It's disgusting to think about.

When I was in high school I knew girls that had two kids by the time they graduated. Hookup culture in college dorms in highly normalized, they might as well call colleges “Sodom and Gomorrah Youth Centers.” My brother dated a woman in her early 20s that already had a body count and she called him “controlling” for not wanting her to post thirst traps on Instagram. A former friend of mine from high school was already a single mom by the age of 20.
The idea that very young women are chaste is an idea that is long gone. Chastity is simply not valued anymore by women. They think sleeping around is cool and liberating and if they regret it they only regret once they’ve had their fill of debauchery. When I was a teenager, most of my peers were already sleeping around. Now imagine how it is when they get out of their parent’s home… This is biblical. People will be lustful, prideful, and lovers of themselves in the last days. We need to return to God.
Us men need to start being leaders and say no to this and stop sleeping around and it will prevent this cycle from continuing, set an example and pray that they follow

This is why I like LFA. I’m 42 now and yeah finding a woman in her 30s that’s single and not messed up is unicorn country. Of course the dating gurus will never mention this they just want you to stay on the dating carousel till you find the right one. Pretty much keep to myself and am stacking cash.
This is more than true here. The few women I've talked to in their early to mid 30s that aren't club-material also aren't really wife material and typically have trauma-laced pasts. The ones in their 40s are even worse off, as it's difficult to find any that don't/didn't have kids (one way or another) or haven't been carousel riders for 20+ years.
That's the hard truth, a reality.

For men, you reflect a lot more during mid-life about how you spend your time and getting the most value out of what you do as you realise that mortality is now facing you head-on during the back half of your life. Those in their 30s are still trying to get that last grasp out of their youth before hitting the big four-oh. There is an existential difference in how you view your experiences and where you have come from and where you are going. Depending on what you did or did not do in your 20s depends on what you will try to do in your 30s, as opposed to what you avoid doing in your 40s. There is oftentimes a huge amount of strife between those goals for people who are in a relationship at different points in their life.

This is the stage when you can do the full blown family, building a life together and so on, If he is lucky he has a 10% success rate with a woman this age. The second stage is later in life (I am in my 60s) and at this stage you want a woman who has already faced reality and just wants a man to finish out life with. I am seeing a woman who is 47, widowed, maintains her own home and finances, and we get together when the mood is there. It is more about companionship and support at this stage and a woman this age is really easy to be with.

With such a perspective/point of view, you are a real unicorn, I must admit...
To be honest, it's what most men recognise or have recognised for a while. The only older men who skirt chase young women are the Chad/Tyrones who never grew up. Any man with a decent head on his shoulders knows that everything mentioned in the video above is 100% fact and usually not worth the hassle unless you want hassle in your life. I would never date a woman in her 20s, as we would have nothing in common. Interests, goals, ambitions, and life experiences would all be completely antipodes to one another. Any man worth his salt recognises this, but then he's also stuck with facing the problem where women his age he either does not find very attractive or she has way too baggage or she's incapable of providing him with a family.
It also comes from the idea that it was like this for thousands of years. It seems like a new concept when in reality there is nothing new under the sun.
It was like that because the girls werent able to choose. They were bartered off by their fathers to the most financially advantageous man. Its seen now when women have a choice to select their own mates they choose an average of 3 years older only because no one actually wants to have sex with the 👴

We're the same age. If you look your age then your female peers probably assume you're taken or have multiple situations going on, or "baggage." Some probably assume that because your height and body type are sought after, that you have many women to choose from, so older women eliminate themselves off the bat, and often assume you'd choose younger anyway. Older women often have been there done that and don't have the desire or will to compete like some younger women do. Younger women may be impressed by your height and body type, and also may gravitate towards you if they have father issues and see you (subconsciously) as a way to fill that void.

Interesting talk. This is another side of it. You can see it from both sides. I put my time and energy into a medical career. I'm still exploring life so I'm not the boring type older guy. Plus my friends know I'm a good dude. I can tell them. You know me. I have never beat abused or ran through women. I'll take care of her. It's a different focus.

I'm going to be absolutely frank with you mate... there is no peace. You have to strive to reconcile the fact that you're not upholding the essentialism of your life: you're not siring an heir, and you're expanding your lineage. It's a harsh and uncompromising fact of life for some of us, but also something you have to consistently remind yourself to not let it get you down by occupying your time and your mind with hobbies. However, there will never truly be peace knowing you didn't fulfill your duty as a man.

Most of the good women get taken by either their high school sweetheart, college sweetheart, or from a fairly large social circle soon after college. More women go to college than men, so if you are a guy that doesn’t go to college and didn’t keep a large social circle from high school it could likely be hard for you finding dates.

The only way to find a keeper is if you luck out and find a good one in their early 20's, and to find one that's older she is either going to be a widow and you have to deal with their grief over the loss of her ex (Understandably) and you'll always be second in her heart... or she was cheated on / dropped but she isn't jaded and doesn't blame all men for the actions of one (Very rare).

36 & in good shape physically. Money decent but still not loaded yet, working on it. Relationships I'm struggling in that I had a long relationahip and kids that ended in divorce. That ended about 3 yrs ago. Since then my longest relationship is 12m (she was great looking but brought chaos not peace lol) so I struggle to find someone who is appealing but also brings peace to my life. You learn what you can and can't deal with. In a few years I really could be top 5% so reluctant to get in a relationahip again unless its the right girl. Plus the way it is now, there is always other options. Maybe I'm just living out my youth for a while, having diff women, and I will settle again in the future. I guess my past makes me cautious to commit. As much as I wanted it to work with my last gf she was too much to deal with. We had some good times, but in reality I know she wasn't right for me.
This is refreshing, im used to hearing guys in the "manosphere" talk about how men are basically immortal and women age out fast. That older men have no issue finding young wives because they have so much value and experience. Like you said, when you're in you're mid 30s you can't relate to those 21 year olds, and any women whos in her late 20s and is perfect wife material will have been wifed up already. Im 27 and broke up with my girlfriend of 4 years because she wasnt good enough for me. Fast forward one year and i found an adorable 23 year old chick, absolute wife material, mature for her age, she loves me more than anything in this world, makes me laugh everyday, and shes going to make great money after nursing school. After hearing testimonies from men your age, im not letting this one go.
Most men just don't have their lives put together yet in their 20s anymore... society is not built for that with mass migration keeping down wages and raising housing costs, along with gov spending causing inflation. Especially if you go to college, you are likely in debt and has no savings at 25.
So, it is very hard to settle down for a serious relationship when you are broke. The thing they don't tell you is you have to get it all sorted including finding the right girl as soon as you can in your late 20's to in your 30's. The right girl is also not the prettiest but the one who would build a life with you.

As ml0270 said, you need to understand what you're getting into if your wife is going to be a nurse and she's attractive. It's one of the top jobs women have that results in them stepping outside of the relationship, mostly because they're around a lot of doctors who they fancy, or patients who they may sometimes find to be attractive. Not saying your girl will be that way, but... the numbers absolutely do not lie.
