This guy forgot to impart one crucial piece of information - a hairline in the process of becoming mature too has thinning (when the individual strands become thin) and miniaturuzation (strands become both thin and short, and eventually they cannot penetrate the scalp).
I feel like this is kinda describing my situation. I’m 17 and it feels over the past few months that my hairline has started to thin slightly and even has sorta gone into my widows peak lol, so maybe a mature hairline will get rid of my widows peak idk. It might just be baby hairs but I’m not sure, I don’t remember having them forever so I feel they are new.
Damn bruh literally since I was a baby I always had like thin corners ig like I never had like a small forehead the only I always had the widows peak and then the rest of my hairline was like bby hairs and don’t grow as fast at the rest but above that it’s fine no thinning in crown but I BEEN had it since I was born like since 1 years old , 5,10, 13 so Idk if Thts considered receding or not bc it’s technically still my juvenile hairline and it my thin hairline areas don’t go past an inch it’s like half an inch to a quater inch and my dad didn’t start to lose his hair until he was like 35 at the earliest and my grandpa had his hair good when he was old and he had grey in his hair. So I think my hairline maturing what do u guys think? The thin hairline isn’t just the corners tho it’s like the whole thing even most of the front until it reaches the widows peak. Also to add my dad has a had high corners I think it was mature tho because he had it for many years and if it was receding it would’ve kept getting worse and worse

@@Sms-_- I mean, with my hairline now, it still just seems thin in the corners, particularly on my left side (where I part my hair). My hair is quite long and I'm always running my hands through it, which could result in it being quite thin at around that area. Not sure if its changed that much since my previous comment however I don't think it has. See I think I noticed my hairline start to change little when I stated growing it out which was from when I was 16/17. I'll be 18 at the end of this next month (April). I think the length of my hair has caused my hair in general to be finer because I noticed that as well however I'm planning to cut it short eventually however I'm continuing to grow it out so I can donate it because due to the length its at, I wouldn't want to go short when I may only have less than a year before its long enough to donate. Went on a bit of a rant there and I'm unsure if I answered your question, I hope I did. If there's anything else, please ask away!
Best way to know which hairline you have is to measure from the topmost wrinkle of your forehead to your hairline. If the difference is more than 1.1/1.2 inch, then you have a receding hairline. Trust me, I am almost a professional (doing research since the past 4 years)

it really makes me sick how my father is in his 60s and his hair is amazingly thick and my grandfather who died at the age of 93 with his hair on while i'm here with a decent hair line but my hair isn't full and it's thin , i can see my scalp under neon lights .... at the age of 16

Thin hair doesn't necessarily mean that you're going bald. But a quick trip to a hair specialist will give you a lot of closure. You can decide to go under the razor after that.

My hairline has just started maturing at the age of 26. My temples very slightly gone back. I barely noticed it because it has happened so slowly. It's a bit strange since I thought I would keep my juvenile hairline forever
Same, since I got used to everyone complimenting my extremely thick hair I was quite surprised when I noticed that my hairline went up a couple of centimetres (I didn't measure it exactly). Strange, bc I always thought I have really good hair genetics. Hopefully there'll be no balding, my face ain't really fit for that LOL.

You just need to keep an eye on any changes to your hairline. Everyone’s hairline matures at different rates and if you notice that the recession has changed and goes further into your scalp, then that would be MPB. I don’t know if anyone experienced the same thing, but for me one side of my hairline had matured before the other side. Now that side has stayed at the same spot for years and my other side has started to catch up and match it. Just keep an eye on it and dictate whether the recession has changed a lot, then consider taking medication if it bothers you a lot.
Okay i understand I am 22 and my temple on one side has also gone back quite a bit whilst the other side hasn’t changed and is perfect , I really don’t know what’s going to happen with my hair but once I get to 24/25/26 if I ain’t happy with my hairline ahh man I’ll most likely get a hair transplant but I just started to experience hair loss this year so I’ll give it a couple years until I am at them ages and I’ll see how it’s looking I hope my hair never goes back again or else hair transplant will be the route and to be honest I’ll get the hair transplant once I am 24/25/26 because I ain’t happy with the one side of the temple it’s annoying big time

Hey the same is happening to me. My right temple matured and has stayed that way for years and now my left temple is catching up. Is your hairline good now?
Every race and ethnicity may experience some form of maturation of the hairline. Patterns may differ but the maturation has still occurred. Anyways, he mentions Caucasian males because about 94% of them undergo a mature hairline by the age of 18 or 20. When he says it occurs ages 17- 28 or so, that is actually including all races (not just Caucasian). Proof: look at the doc, his hairline is classic maturation.

Seems like it's maturing then... because I rarely rarely see my hairs on the ground(or it could be distinguished as cat hair, but I don't really see them at my mom's place where there are no animals besides fish).. I've been slightly worried about it since I'm just now, 17...

If your hairline hasn't met in a pincer formation to isolate that front tuft of hair by the time you're 30, you're probably fine.

My corners been receded since at least 17 or 18 but my hairline has stayed the same since 27. I've always hated my mature hairline and push my hair forward. I don't like parting it lol.

@@akai9401Does it mean that it’s ok if there is no small hair at the hairline even if it’s recessed. My hairline is recessed bit stayed like this for 5 years now without changes. When I pull my hair back the hairs at the hairline looks not thin and small, it looks the same as the side hair. I‘m freaking out about my hairline.
@@UnknownUser_10 If you see no baby hairs then there is no miniaturization so you will probably not recede anymore, and thats why your hairline stayed the same. If you have no diffuse thinning then dont worry that much but keep monitoring your hairline just in case.

But while the hair is maturing can there be thin hairs? Around of 21 I noticed my hairline has changed It got this U shape thing going on, not sure if it's receding or maturing but I do have thin hairs in the temples what does that mean? Is it still maturing or is it receding?

Nope I didn't and only time will tell I guess, I actually buzz cut my hair shortly after I left this comment and you know what? I looked different but holy fck I actually looked good too, so I stopped carrying about my hairline and if its thinning or not, so if you are worried about going bald or not the sooner you accept it that it MIGHT happened sometime in the future the sooner you will lift all the weight of your shoulders. At least that's my advice, having hair wont bring you hot women fast cars and happiness in life, however confidence will.. ;)

I’m 15 and on the right side of my hair line it’s receding and getting thinner. But it’s not happening on the left side.
No one knows why but for some reason in males, the right side recedes first the the left eventually catches up, I’m not sure if it’s just for male pattern baldness or maturing as well, my hairline has done the same

@@captainroz5227 I started using finasteride and (dutasteride for a while but i had bad side effect so stopped) and it seems to have helped, my hair line has stopped receding and my hair feels a lot healthier than I did a year or two ago

I might have a mature hair line, mine receded a bit without the thinning, but I feel like it isn't thinning because I did a bunch of stuff to fix that.

I've always had a high forehead my grandpa says it runs in the family but none of my family on dad or moms side is bald. There's no thinning in the front or anything but the hairline is in like a widows peak shape and idk maybe I'm paranoid I don't shed hair only like one or 2 hairs come out per day I don't notice hair falling out but my hairline isn't straight

Idk if you're of Irish Descent or not, but its really common for them to undergo a rapid and sort of radical maturation of the Hairline around the age of 18-21. It scared the shit out of me, because at 19, the corners around my temples started to become VERY pronounced and did so very rapidly. I just KNEW it was all over for me lol. Then, once it hit a certain point it just stopped. Im 27, and I've got a pretty pronounced widow's peak,(which coincidentally is Identical to my father's hairline, who's 50 years old) but other than that, my hair is pretty thick and it seems to be receding at a totally normal progress. My dad said his did the exact same thing and that it's because we're Irish. Who knows?lol

I‘m 24 and my left side is kinda decent imo, my right side is a bit worse. I made pictures for two years now and at least there were no changes on neither side, but it still makes me freak out. My density is also still great. I also consider a transplant in some years to make both sides symmetrical and fill in the temples on both side, at least a bit.

YES and that is why it is sooo hard to determine... It's the same fucking progress. I have even heard of people seeing lots of hair in their hands and overall thinning where it eventually just stopped..
Miniturization during maturing is shorter lifetime of hairs as well, so it should make sense to see more hair on your hands? Maaan hair loss is hell man.

For me I have the exact same hair as my grandfather it seems at the same age(22) even though it has thinned alot since I was 18. His hair managed to go grey before he died.
But my hair is exactly like his at his age. My hairline is moving into a mature hairline, but with less density than before. So am I balding? Only time will tell :(
Look at the youtuber "Luca Santangelo" he was in the same situation in 2018 in his start 20s, seems like he has not changed since then?
