    You do a wonderful job with your garden and videos.
    After 20 years of digging and spraying trumpet vine out of the lawn and garden, I hope you don't regret planting yours 😮

    Don't be insecure! You do a great job narrating and your garden is absolutely gorgeous! Bella and Willow are sweet little things. I leave my Heuchera blooms on for most of the time. I love their light, airy and graceful blooms blowing gently in the wind while leaning over my walkways. Zone 6b here, Missourian neighbor! I name my plants lolz. I'm goofy! My choco lab eats the grass and coughs it up also... sometimes inside the house. She desires some of my ornamental grasses once in a while lolz

    It is 5 am and I am on the couch watching RUclips garden vids b4 the house wakes up. I want u to know I risked waking a very needy Old English Bulldog to climb the creaky stairs to get my phone to subscribe to your new channel. I know a good deal about plants and have had gardens for many years and watch alot of vids for inspiration but yours goes beyond so much of what I have seen .... it is an oasis of individuality in a sea of sameness. I was popping popcorn for a nice long vid when it abruptly ended.... I know most people don't watch long vids but as Summer moves in maybe do a long one? I am excited to have found your labor of love and look forward to whatever u decide to share. Be confident! You're amazing and so is your oasis!

    Gorgeous! Don't be insecure, you're doing great. I've seen tons of high-end folks and their gardens. Yours is on-par, to be sure! :) Keep it up if you enjoy it. And though honeysuckle are "invasive" many of us know and love the smell of it from a very young age onwards. :) I have it in my yard. I just make sure it doesn't go crazy.

    It is good that you have added different shades of green to your garden especially the lime colors because like you said, a swatch of the same green color does not allow each plant to stand out form the others. Your garden has shaped up nicely and I hope you add tons of mums and ornamental cabbage this fall.

    First of all you do a great job with your videos. I didn’t do my first RUclips video until I was almost 68 in 2016. I am not tech savvy at all so it’s a miracle I got those first ones done. I would have thought you had been doing videos for years. I love your garden tours. You have a great variety of plants. Our climbing hydrangea didn’t take off and bloom until it was 6 or 7 years old. Also you have one of the nicest patches of Ajuga I have seen. We are in Southwest Virginia Zone 7 and right now we really need some rain❤️😊❤️

    Took our climbing white hydrangea about ten years to take off. Now I am asking why we thought it was such a good idea as it is as difficult to pull off the house as English ivy. The runners sneak under the mulch and start running up the foundation block. If it gets to the siding it will ruin it. The main plant is eight feet away from the house!! We do however LOVE our ajuga! Great garden, just subbed!

    Your garden is fabulous! I have a 8 year old burning bush that has turned into the most beautiful specimen tree. My husband trimmed the bottom up into tree form. Its probably 8 ft tall. You have a beautiful garden, everything has a purpose and function. Your culverts and drains and the pond and stream are there to divert the water from your house and they also are stunning. Did you build your moon entry or is it a purchase. I’m about to start on one and I would be more than happy if it ended up looking half as good as the one you have. Your videos are great as well.

    I think that it is very interesting if you do go off script because there are many channels where the owners tell you every plant they have, I love to see the overall view of a garden and all the quirky ideas people have. Maybe you could do that sort of thing just for something a little different from every one else. Thanks for sharing your garden with us.

    Love your pathways, and your mix of trees, evergreen bushes, and plants! Is this whole garden fairly new, or did you have some things there when you moved in, and have added to it beautifully? I’m in Michigan, zone 5, so it’s fun to see what grows as perennials, farther south, vs more north. I enjoyed your video! 👍🏻🌼🌸🌺

    Question 🙋🏼‍♀️ about your low vertical wood borders. Are those railroad ties? If so, how did you go about cutting them? Lol
    Love that border!

    • @dlsdyer9071
      @dlsdyer9071 3 года назад +1

      We just used our chainsaw and reciprocating saws to separate some six by sixes. The chainsaw was fast and worked well for cutting the wood. The reciprocating saw has different blades of size and for material type. They are good for pruning larger limbs and cutting metal nails screws etc. They are more versatile for the garden and make cutting up limbs for mulch easier, too.
      Hope that helps.
      Note: as a reminder railroad ties are treated so take care where you put them and be careful around the sawdust.

    • @moxiegardens8033
      @moxiegardens8033  3 года назад +1

      There is a section as you walk through the gate off the boardwalk that are railroad ties. I used a chainsaw to cut them. The other border are fence post of different widths. Hope that helps.

    • @moxiegardens8033
      @moxiegardens8033  3 года назад

      Yes that is correct. I would never recommend anything that has an invasive history. Only plant what you can handle.

    • @jcking6785
      @jcking6785 3 года назад

      The worst gardening mistake I ever made was planting some “wild” trumpet vine at the base of a hackberry tree in my back yard some 30 years ago because I knew hummingbirds liked them and I like hummingbirds. Well, after casually fighting this atrocious thug all these years, I decided to make a concerted effort to rid my yard of this beast that comes up literally everywhere within 20’+/- of where it was planted. And if the invasiveness of it wasn’t enough, it has climbed roughly 30 feet into the tree top so I don’t t even get to see its blooms not to mention any hummingbirds... Sure wish I had heeded the warnings I was given way back then. I certainly would hate to see your lovely yard spoiled by such an onerous plant. I wonder if it can be contained somehow like bamboo?
